I bought these boots last year before winter; I thought the look was very nice (And it is!) and thought it would be very handy in the cold weather.
Now halfway through the 2nd winter, the tissue has torn apart the plastic part and the water gets in. Plus, since the beginning of the winter this year, the weather has been really cold (-20 and Under), and my feet has been freezing all the time. One time I went out to take a long walk and couldn't feel my toes for an hour after that.
Very disappointing with the quality of it. I won't buy the north face boots anymore.

I loved these for a long time, they were very comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry while I commuted to and from work by bus. I've worn these for just under 2 winters and unfortunately they don't last. The rubber base has cracks and several places, and has separated from the cloth part. For the price I was hoping they would hold up for a few more winters... pretty disappointed...

I've noticed that I'm slipping a lot more on ice and snow than I used to in my Sorrel boots. It's like trying to walk in rubber boots. Definitely not worth the price for a winter boot. Very disappointing. Last night I slipped on ice getting out of my truck and my back is a mess today from the fall.

I used this product to optimize outdoor winter activity. After about 3 days they really stopped holding in the heat at the toes. I was sold this product with the expectation that these boots would keep me warm doing things like ice fishing, winter camping, and hiking. They did not even remotely pass the test, and because of this I was absolutely freezing and could barely walk. They're cute, but they do not make the cut in temperatures below 40.

Purchased for everyday dog walks in a southern Ontario winter; however, my toes freeze every time. I only really wear them for quick errands now. Pretty disappointed as I'm usually a huge North Face advocate. Not worth the money I spent on them.

I REALLY wanted to love these, they're stylish and look functional. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers online had warned they have the defect of coming apart between the plastic and leather material. I had just taken them out of the box and tested them around the house when I noticed it was already happening! Too bad the North Face brand isn't living up to quality standards :/

I like them because they are cute. But for the cold They didn’t live up to there standards of being warm my toes felt like ice cubes.

I bought this product with a hopeful outlook to help get through my Buffalo winters, but after only a couple days of use it was clear that my toes FREEZE in these. Where the rest of the boot covers is warm, but not my toes. It's very disappointing because I feel like that is the most important part of the feet to keep warm.

When I first got the boots I was pretty excited, they fit well and were expected to keep my feet warm in the cold winters we have here in the northwest. However, I am quite saddened to report that these boots do not keep your feet warm to the expected temperatures that are claimed. Within the first day I used them, (and I do not have poor circulation in my feet) in just above zero degree weather (fahrenheit mind you) my feet were frozen. I had even worn wool socks for the occasion.

They are cute, but not great quality. The sole doesn't fit the entire bottom of the shoe. I can literally feel the edge of the front of the sole, and space between it and the front of the shoe. When I walk - which is all the time and the reason for buying winter boots - it continuously feels uneven and uncomfortable. I've also started noticing my toes get cold in these boots - and the coldest temperatures are yet to come.

They look stylish and cute but they are definitely NOT for winter! I only used them for walking around on a 3C weather (with some snow) and within an hour my toes were frozen even with my wool socks on. I wanted to love them as they have such great cushioning for your heels. Perfect height too and kept my ankles/calves warm but then again, not my toes. I wish I could return them. It's a waste of money if you're looking for a real winter boot.

I recently moved to Colorado and these boots were one of my first purchases. They've been great for running around town and getting in and out of slushy parking lots. However, I wore them snowshoeing last weekend and my feet were freezing and I was even wearing two pair of ski socks! The snow was only a few inches deep and it was probably 20 degrees... I should not have been cold in snow boots! Very disappointed and will be returning.

They are the most beautiful looking boot, so it pains me to give them such a poor review. They fit rather large and are quite bulky. Getting your feet in and out is a pain and required a lot of effort. However the worst part is there is no stability or ankle support. They leather has stretched and sagged around the ankles and offers very little support. I am scared that I am going to roll my ankle when wearing them. I had ordered them for back country snowshoeing as the customer service lady on the website had recommended them for that purpose.... So I am so disappointed I spent all that money on a product that doesn't suit my needs when it was recommended by North Face staff.

I'm so disappointed in my purchase. I wore these out today for the first time. I had them on for about an hour and a half and my feet were freezing. I wasn't even in the snow and it was only -10 out. Now, I'm stuck with a very expensive pair of boots that do not fulfill their claims.

I want to make it clear that I bought an older version of this shoe back in 2014 (the original shellista). But here's my two cents: It is a very warm shoe, using very high quality materials to keep feet warm and dry, and the style is not too feminine but still very good looking. Unfortunately, I have used this shoe every winter since then but I've never been able to break them in. Unless they have changed the actual construction of the shoe, my heel gets rubbed raw and even bloody-- through thick and thin socks equally. I have tried everything to get this shoe to be comfortable and it is seemingly impossible. At the time of purchase I exchanged and tried for different sizes, but they all seemed to have this same issue. But, I was desperate for an actually warm shoe (living in a place that is well into sub-zero temperatures most of the winter). This shoe (at the time) promised it could be warm in this ungodly temperatures and thats why I hoped I would just be able to break it in over time. Every winter I suffer with these shoes. I suggest really testing out another style or brand-- don't make the same mistake I did on this dud.
I hope in the coming years to either finally break in these horrible things, or find a new, better brand of boot. N.F. has forever disappointed me-- not a bang for my buck at all.

I really love the look and feel of these boots!! But my feet are cold almost as soon as I am outside. Very disappointed especially given the cost.

I can't even stand on the schoolyard during a Canadian winter, without my toes freezing in these boots! Tried 3 different pairs of smart wool socks and still freezing!

The overall product is great. Keeps your feet very warm, BUT, my left boot developed a squeak within the first week of getting these. I am so disappointed. I can't stand the noise. I have tried researching how to get a squeak out, but no luck yet.

Worst boots I've ever bought. One month into using them they started making a terrible squeaky noise. Very disappointed.

I don't know why these boots have such great reviews, maybe cause they are cute. That's all they have going for them. I had so much trouble getting these boots on and off. Once I got them on they did feel true to their size in length but they felt so tight and narrow. I have a medium width foot but these boots felt like a narrow width. I tried these on with normal socks and they barely fit the width so I know I could not have fit warmer socks in these boots and ordering a bigger size would not have helped since they only come in one width. My feet did not feel warmer in these boots and I was only inside my house trying them on. I could not imagine wearing these in the snow, my feet would definitely freeze. I had such a difficult time getting these boots off even with the laces completely loosened. I felt like I was going to injure my shoulder cause I had to pull so hard. They are cute boots though.

Looking for a winter boot for MN winters...I wanted comfort, warmth, waterproof, and light weight. These fit the bill-for the first month-and now I'm disappointed. The right boot squeaks and will not stop squeaking and there seems to be a "soft" spot or give in the cushion of the heel. I'm guessing is a manufacturing defect of this particular pair. disappointed and frustrated. Will wait until end of winter to mail boots to company to see if they can be repaired or replaced under the one year warranty as I just purchased them at beginning of dec. until then-I and those around me-will have to grin and bear the noxious squeaking sound every time I walk.

I am a dog walker in Boston, MA and I need warm, comfortable boots for the winter and these almost worked. I am super picky and it took me forever to land on these. I absolutely loved them. They were super comfortable, could be warmer where the shell is but if you have good socks you should be ok. The first time I wore them was the first snow and I thought I felt water coming into the boot. I didn't want to believe it, did I say I loved them, so I blamed it on sweaty feet. I wore them a couple more times, literally twice, I realized the last time I was right about the leakage. As I took them off the entire bottom shell separated from the leather upper!! I'm really disappointed. I would have given one star but they really are comfortable and cute, they're just poorly made. So here I am, boot less, right before the first big snowstorm. Boo Northface, boo. Not a happy customer.

I bought these online because they looked so cute. When I got them they were very stiff and wide around the ankle... Not very flattering. I am so disappointed, I returned them.
