These boots are really cute - the color and style are great! However, they feel a bit like you are wearing rain boots that don't really move with your foot when you walk. I ended up returning them because the comfort level was low for me.

I use these boots for my work boots at the ski hill. They are fine and keep me warm and dry but not good if in the snow itself. Extended periods of time toes get cold. Hot spots on front of calves in beginning of wear. Your feet will stay dry and protected.

I absolutely love these boots. They are very warm and very comfortable. Sadly they did not hold up well for me. I am on my feet all day and after just a month working in them the fabric had completely ripped from the rubber sole leaving my foot nearly exposed. Zappos, as always, was wonderful about replacing them for me. I got the exact same pair, and it is now three weeks later and the same thing is happened this time on my other foot. I am sad that I will be returning again this time for a different brand. I still think that they are great boots just not for someone on their feet 50 hours a week.

I found these boots to be too stiff in the heel. I couldn't bend my foot for a natural walking motion like I can with other waterproof insulated boots. I returned them before wearing them outside.

Just got these boots in the mail a few days ago. They are very cute, but not too comfortable. I find them to be a little clunky and stiff. They also crease/fold weird when I walk. I live in Colorado where there is already snow on the ground and unfortunately these boots are not very warm either. I will keep these boots because they look good, but will definitely have to keep searching for a warmer and less clunky winter boot.

I bought the North Face Shellista II mid boot in the darker brown (which I love the color so much)in a size 8. I read so many blogs and looked for months for the perfect winter boot. Being from the Midwest I was looking for a couple things in a boot (warmth, water proof and style). After much researching I realized this boot is good for walking to and from places and can handle the cold weather if moving around. I originally went with a 7.5 which I normally wear. I ended up with a half a size up (8). The 8 fits perfectly compared to the 7.5 which was very tight with an extra pair of wool socks. With the size 8 I'm able to fit the extra pair of wool socks and they don't look bulky. I can't wait to wear these boots. They are warm, durable and stylish. Make sure to spray the sued too. They are a narrow so for bigger calf's these may or may not be the boots for you which I also read on blogs. Overall, I'm very excited to wear these boots!

I love the look of these boots, they are adorable. They fit true to size. Unfortunately the laces were really uncomfortable against my shins, even when wearing thick socks. I ended up returning these, and was really bummed because I loved the look of the boots and they were really warm.

Could not get foot into boot. Realize that part of the problem is age and arthritis, but if it's hard to put on, I won't buy it. Quality of product appeared very good.

I think these boots are super cute and really stylish and warm...when I get them on. I have to practically take all of the laces out to get my foot into these boots.

So in love with these boots, but they didn't fit. A bit snug (i wear a 7) the calf was way too small for me. Could barely even tue them. So disappointing!

I LOVED these boots, until they fell apart. They were so comfortable, warm, and waterproof. But after a few mid-Atlantic winters, the rubber around the foot area detached from the upper part of the boot and now my feet get soaked when I wear them in the snow or rain. I see that many other people have now reported the same issue in their reviews. According to the North Face website, the company stands behind all of their products except for footwear. At this price point with a reputable brand, I really expected these to last longer. My last pair of winter boots (Timberlands) lasted me 12 years, including 6 New England winters. I ordered LL Bean boots to replace these; at least I know they will stand behind the product if they fall apart.

I purchased these boots to keep my feet warm, I live in Wisconsin and have Reynaud's, these boots don't even keep my feet warm in the car on my way to work which is a 7 minute drive, by the time I get to work my toes are in so much pain, it was a waste of money for me.

I loved them, wearing them casually on the weekends for a season and a half (literally 20 casual wearings or less), before one split open in the back. Too bad, since they were warm and comfortable. Five stars on them while they lasted...one star for them obviously being defective.

I bought these boots two winters ago for a snow season in Colorado. They had positive reviews and most seem to think they were warm and functional. I like my shoes to be multifunctional, so a cute fashionable pair of winter boots was ideal. Fashionable - check. Cute and can pair with anything - check. Warmth and function - Negative!! These boots are so cold. I can double or triple up on wool socks and my feet are still cold. I wore these boots out on a snowmobile backcountry trip, it was sunny relatively warm day (Temps were not below freezing) and my toes froze. They don't even keep my feet warm on my 1/2 mile walk to work in the snow. This last month temps have been dropping to about 20 below and I discovered that my house slippers are warmer outside in the snow and ice than these boots. Other than being cute the only pro of these boots is my feet stay dry. I would not recommend these boots for anyone needing true winter boots.

I bought these boots after reading several reviews on how great they are, but they do not live up to their claims. Sure, they are super cute, but I live in Colorado and can't even walk my dog in the snow for more than 5 minutes without my feet getting cold and wet. Really sad I spent the money on these boots, I hardly ever wear them.

I loved these boots but they only lasted one season. One month in to their second winter, they came apart where the rubber base meets the shaft of the boot. I took them to a shoe cobbler (who has saved many of my shoes and boots) but he said these could not be fixed.

Where the heel meets the leather fabric ripped apart after wearing them for not even two weeks, which now causes water to sleep through. They didn't keep my feet warm enough, I live in NH and my toes hurt so much even with thermal socks and toe warmers. I would say these are for more casual wear and not for actual winter labor. They are very cute, just not functional. I would've loved to have them repaired but the process was quite tedious.

I have been contemplating the purchase of these boots since last winter because I have been searching for warm boots for shoveling and sledding with my family. I finally decided to get these boots, and today I wore them for the first time for just that--shoveling and sledding. I had on wool socks, and I needed more room. My toes were cold, and my big toes had no feeling withing 10 minutes even though my entire body was super warm from movement. After 30 minutes of shoveling and 60 minutes of sledding with my family, my toes were in pain from the cold. I'm so disappointed with the insulation of these boots, but I'm stuck with them because I wore them. Wish I had gone up a half size too.

This shoe has good traction and looks decent. But its not long lasting at all. Mine wore out in a year. Less than 2 seasons of just snow use, there was a hole in the sole of 1 boot and the other boot, the hole almost on it way. Water fills up and its no longer waterproof (primary purpose of the product). So, the money is not worth the durability. Northface doesn't cover anything beyond a year, no matter how little you used it. This page says Lifetime warranty but its not for shoes in their fine print. Why mention it on the page when you dont cover shoes?

The boots felt comfortable for my feet once I ordered a size up, but the shaft fits very stiff and it’s hard to bend down without the boot bending funny. I would have to tie them very tight in order for snow not to fly up into the back calf area.

Very disappointed with these boots. Yes, the boot part may be waterproof, but they do NOT keep your feet warm at all. Great boots if all you're doing is walking from your car to a building, but if you're standing outside for more than 5 minutes and it's colder than 0C, your feet will freeze. Would not recommend if you do any kind of work outside where you aren't moving. For the brand and the price I expected better. North Face, do better!

I really liked the look of these boots, but when I was buying them, the sales person told me that they only come in a 6 or 7. And I'm a 6.5. They told me that the boots will stretch out to fit my foot, and that the 6 would be the way to go. I've been wearing them for a couple months, they kind of stretched to fit but are still uncomfortable to wear. They are also not good in the snow or in the cold. My toes are constantly frozen even when it's zero degrees and sunny (I'm still walking on snow) Today I was walking in about a 1/4 inch of slush and not only were my feet cold, but it felt like they were wet. I'm really sad about this because I love the look of these boots, just wish that they were better quality.
