My feet are extremely flat so I'm drawn to shoes for extreme pronators. I wore the New Balance 587 for years but then they stopped making it. I tried several other New Balance shoes for extreme pronators but was never satisfied. This is my first pair of Brooks Addiction 12's and they are as good or better than the 587's. One very welcome feature is the novel way the tongue is held in place. On every other shoe I've tried the tongue never stays vertical but rotates to the side because of my extreme pronation. The laces hold the tongue on the Brooks in place. A benefit I was not expecting but it is very welcome.

Really not a bad pair of shoes for running. I use them exclusively for my treadmill.

Overall a very comfortable shoe. The size came in half to a full size longer than it should be. I've been wearing the same size for over 17 years. They support my flat feet pretty well even with the extra wiggle room up front. They breathe well and land soft.

Very good looking shoes that are unfortunately not as wide as other 4E wides from the same brand. In fact, the narrower fit caused me significant foot pain, which definitely stems from my own foot problems, but I order this brand specifically for that purpose and was disappointed with this style for that reason. Shoes are great otherwise and received several compliments, I wish I could wear them without pain but oh well.

My older shoes of the same model and size fit fine. These are much too narrow. I had to get a larger and wider size.

I used to be a New Balance customer but after getting two pairs that fell apart I switched to Brooks. I liked their Adrenaline line but I felt like I was putting too much weight on the outer edge of my feet so I tried a pair of these Addiction 12's. I can feel how they change the landing of my foot while I'm walking and that feels more comfortable to me. These do feel like the toe box is a little narrower but it doesn't seem excessively tight.

Best shoes ever for a Clydesdale man! More than enough toe space, and good shock absorption. I'm 205 lbs., and need a reliable shoe for my frame. Gotta stick with Brooks!

The width was fine, but the length was a half size too short.

I really like Brooks shoes. They are extremely comfortable, last a long time, and they look pretty stylish. The only strange thing about them is they seem to be getting narrower with each new generation. I first discovered Brooks shoes with the Addiction 10's; I was able to order a medium width and that was fine. A year later, I noticed the addiction 11's were a bit narrow; I had to order a EE width to have them fit my foot. Now, I have the addiction 12's and not even the EE was wide enough; I had to order the 4E to get enough room in the shoe to move my foot. If this trend continues, this might be the last year I can wear these shoes. My feet have not gotten any bigger, so I can only assume the shoes are getting slimmer.

I have worn the Addiction shoe for many years. Last pair way over due to replace was Addiction 10. They were great out of the box. The Addiction 12 changed my foot pattern a bit and my left arch was tweaked in the first 6 mile run. Second run of 5 miles was fine. I think they will be fine and either the shoe or the runner needed a little "break in".

These are comfortable(1/2 size larger than normal for me)and are great walking shoes. I have terrible bad back and the soles provide support with a good amount of cushion. The top of the shoe or dorsal is fabric. Allows your foot to breath,is pliable and flexes easy. Unfortunately,at least for me,I wore a small hole through the fabric in the area above the big toe. They are so comfortable that I still bought another pair. However,I can only use to walk as they are not particularly attractive with the hole out in public.Unless I'm shopping for a new car and am going for the poor, I have holes in my shoes, look.

Even though I wear a size 14, I had to exchange the 14 for a size 15 because the size 14 rubbed against my large toe.

Nice sneaker, lightweight and cool to wear due to the breathable mesh. Shoes are very comfortable as they are well cushioned. Not super supportive with regard to the arch. Normally wear a size 12 narrow, but ordered these in a size 12 1/2 narrow, and they fit comfortably, not too long. Purchased 2 pair.

I've been wearing Addiction sneakers for several years. Always a go to shoe. I walk 5-15 miles/day, burn through several pair a year. While I find the A-12 to be satisfactory, the previous models were much more comfortable. Time to actually go shopping again...

I usually wear 8.5 w but I was determined to find my right fit. I HAD to buy 2 pairs of Addictions - one in size 8.5 ww and one in size 9ww which was costly. But my left foot is longer than my right so I had no choice, though this is the FIRST time I've had to do this. The end result is that I'm happy and paying the price for sneakers that you FINALLY FIND THAT WORK for you, is worth it. My advice: if you feel like me that you have to experiment with size then Zappos is there for you. I went to many athletic shoe stores - couldn't find lots of wides, so I trusted the reviews and Addiction seemed to be the best sneakers for wider feet that need support. Signed: Happy Feet! p.s. as you can probably guess, I did start with just one pair and then realized that I needed a bigger size for my left foot.

I have been wearing them for a week or so. So far so good. I typically wear a 15 but in most shoes now I have to order a 16. These are a little wider at the ball of the feet compared to the New Balance.

A little ortho looking with their bulky soles, especially in size 13. But I love Brooks and this style came in a wide. Since I find that Brooks run a little small and tight, I'd try an EE. Great fit I must say and the shoe is a great walker, though I'd like to lose some of the bulk. Looks good with casual pants.

I don't know about these. I've been wearing Brooks Addictions since the 6s. These don't seem to fit quite as well or provide the right kind of support. I think that once these wear out, I'm going back to my runner's store to see if they can recommend anything different.

These shoes ran very small I normally wear a 10 in these I wear a 12 EE .. That being said I didn't think they held up as they should have. As expensive as they are they should last longer.

I'm not sure where all that cushion is that other people are talking about. These things are hard as a rock. Skechers GoTrail gives a way more cushioned ride than these shoes at a lower price. Sent'em back.
