I've been wearing this jacket almost everyday for a month and am very happy with my purchase. The jacket definitely delivers on warmth especially on windy days. I was worried about the length because I'm short (5'3") but it hits enough above the knee that it doesn't feel too long at all. The jacket is a bit stiff and puffy, but this might go down with time and I also find the zipper to be finicky sometimes.

I bought this coat about a month ago and am so happy with it. It is very warm so you don't need a lot of layers, it has pockets with zippers including a breast pocket and the hood stays up! It is a sleek looking coat as not tufted like traditional down so good for city wear.

I love this coat, it is a lightweight down, so not the warmest coat I have but not too hot either. Perfect for getting in/out of car into shops or the market. I love the length as well.
The only thing I don't like it's I wish it had more pockets and a deep interior pocket for my wallet. Also the exterior fabric, although soft, also holds pet hair. Do not wear this around a shedding pet!
All in all, I'm glad I purchased the coat, and I've been getting lots of compliments on it.

I've been wearing this coat for a week now and despite some critical reviews here, so far I absolutely love it! It was expensive but I believe you get what you pay for, and I'd rather spend more to get something great that will last. I'm slim but tall, 5'9", with fairly broad shoulders, and this is the first coat I felt wasn't too tight in the shoulders. I've only worn it in the last stages of Scotland's damp, cold autumn so far, but it's been snug, windproof and totally waterproof.
I notice many people here commented on it not being warm enough, but I did my research and understood the Patera is suited for a cold, wet, windy and more temperate winter, as opposed to the deep freeze of sub-zero climates. So if you live in places like the Pacific Northwest, the UK, or northern Europe, it should be perfect. If you need warmer, then go for the Centrale. For me, it's perfect - well fitting and sleek but with enough room for more layers on the days it goes below freezing. I have the 'Dimma' dark aubergine colour which is a great change from basic black or blue. It weighs next to nothing, and is like wearing a warm hug. Basically I love it!
The cons? I can appreciate all the comments here about the flimsy zipper, so time will tell if it goes the distance or breaks. And the fabric isn't as robust as many waterproof coats. But I tend to take good care of my stuff so fingers crossed it holds up, otherwise I'll be sure to get in touch with the customer service team! If I had any other minor suggestions, it would be to make the entire pocket linings fleecy, rather than just the one side, as well as putting a softer, thicker fleece at the top of the zip that rubs against your mouth and chin as it's a bit rough.
But aside from those minor points, I finally feel ready for the oncoming damp, wet and rather miserable British winter for a change!

I am happy I got this jacket. It looks stylish and slim design .
Since I got this, I wear everyday to my work. I am located in Vancouver and we get rain pretty much everyday during winter. I used to wear rain coat, but it doesn't keep myself warm and I had to wear several layers under the coast . It made me very uncomfortable to move around, cause many layers makes the coast very tight . and I have a nice down coast as well, but I have to worried about getting wet and down get damaged so I can't wear it when it rains :(
Patera Parka is combined rain and down jackets its coated with Gore-tex so I don't need to worried about down gets damaged and can walk in the rain no problem! I still use an umbrella when its rain hard though the rain doesn't get in even if I would not. It keeps me extra warm on legs with extra long length but its easy to walk because it has longer slips below zipper.
I am 5'5 and 123lb and wear S. it still has enough rooms inside to wear extra warm jackets or Layers. but doesn't look myself big/baggy like snowman lol its a slim design ( but has enough down in so its warm)
Only downside of this jacket is a zipper. I saw a couple people made a comment about the zipper. Two way zipper is great!! I think it is a big feature if it works smoothly .
The zipper itself isn't working great. like other reviewers said, it can get tangled, the zipper slider wouldn't receive Insertion Pin well on the bottom . I have a hard time closing the zipper or open. The zipper itself is a poor quality . I am scared to break it soon cause sometimes I have to pull really hard and force to close the pullers on the bottom parts. I have been wearing this almost a week now, hope it will last not breaking it !
Other than that I am very happy I got this jacket. The color I picked - flux is very nice and not too popular either so I don't happen to meet someone who has the exact the same one.

Overall beautiful coat. Very comfortable and i get lots of compliments on the coat. (Colour Dimma). But: zipper does not work well at the start Which is unforgivable for the high price. I expected to buy a warmer coat. I need one more layer when it's really cold (colder than -8C).
As i use the bicycle a lot, it is really nice that the zipper doesn't start all the way down. I love the lightly flared shape.

I wasn't sure when I first got it if I would keep it. The top is nicely fitted, but the waste down flair out so much. There is no button at the bottom to keep the open in place and it kind of sticks out. Now that I have worn it a few weeks, it's a bit better - but still bothers me. The buttons are so small and pop easily. The hood is a perfect fit to keep the cold and wind out. Perfect for walking the dog or at the hockey rink. I do like it and the black is almost a dark charcoal - really nice.

I hesitated making the purchase because of the bad reviews about the zipper. I don't know if there is now a different zipper in there or not but I'm not especially unsatisfied with it.
Like obviously all two way zipper coats I ever owned it's a bit of a hassle to close the zipper at first but it's no problem opening the coat half way from the bottom up when e. g. sitting down in the car and then closing it again when standing up.
So far I'm satisfied with my purchase. I purchased the red one and it is a rich, deep and dark red.
I wore it today while a mix of snow and rain was pouring down at 2C and it kept me warm and dry.
I especially like that the design is not simply "straight down" and that the jacket is long enough to go down to my knees.
I purchased a size medium and it fits perfectly when wearing jeans and a light sweater underneath (1,67 m, 66 kg).

I love Arcteryx, I find their style super flattering and good quality clothes. This is the 3rd jacket that I owe from the brand. It is super warm, fits nicely and quite stylish.
The reason why it is not a 5 start is the zipper - I had it stuck already a few times and doesnt slide greatly. But overall a very solid good jacket.

I bought this jacket as a replacement for a TNF parka that did not have Gore-Tex. I use the jacket daily in the city and on my bike to work where it sees all the rain and wind the Dutch winter can throw at it.
The only two things I would improve on the jacket are a fabric chin guard over the zipper, which can be a bit cold and rough. The other thing would be to increase the size of the inner pocket, with phones getting bigger they should update the pocket to accommodate them and here it is well protected from the elements.

I really love this coat but the zipper does worry me though. It does not lock-in easily so I am not sure how long it will last. For such an expensive parka I would expect a better quality zipper.

Trs belle coupe, belles matires, lger, confortable, agrable porter.

I was excited to get the Patera because I am 5'10" and have a difficult time finding parkas that are long enough for me and warm enough (I run REALLY cold).
I love everything about the Patera except that the hood/face opening lets in too much cold air. I wish it either tightened more, or there was some sort of neck flap or down-filled baffle at the neck that prevented cold air from creeping in.
Other than that, the jacket is very warm and keeps me dry on cold, wet Seattle winter days.

Really like the coat but it does fit very snugly. High quality material - I wear it to walk the dog but also feel happy to wear it on my way to the office on a cold day.

I have the size small in this parka and the arms and shoulders fit well. I find that it is excessively roomy around my hips though and cold air blows up the jacket since it bells out on me. I wish I could take it in a bit around the hips and it would be warmer and look more elegant. Otherwise it's a lovely and functional winter coat.
