These aren't my favorite sneakers but they are excellent quality and the cushioning is pretty good. I'm not sure the value is there because for the money I expected a bit more. My Brooks Ghost seemed to have better cushioning and was less expensive. I will definitely go back to Brooks for my next sneaker purchase.

I keep coming back to Asics shoes, after being disappointed in other expensive top brands. These are nice looking shoes that give great support for my over-pronating feet. I usually wear a 6½ or 7 shoe and I bought these in a 7½ so I could insert an orthotic if I needed to, but the 7½ is not large at all and fits well.

I like these shoes! To me, the fit is true to size. I bought them because they come in 2A. The sole feels quite cushiony. I would rate with a moderate arch support. Although I have several other brands that I like (Mizuno, Salomon), it seems that Asics (the styles that come in 2A) wind up being the best fit for me.

I was upset that only two colors of the Gel-Kayano 22's came in the wide width. It would have been a better move to make all colors in D width. I finally caved and ordered the pink/navy ones. I always get size 8,D width. This time they fit well and were comfortable of the most part (once I got the laces where I prefer them), but tip of the shoe by the toe seems to narrow quite differently than in the past making my toes feel squished. I had to return them to Zappos. I may try the next size up to see because the shoes were comfortable otherwise. I had to rate them overall three stars for the toe issue and the choices for styles and colors for wide feet.

First of all: I love Gel Kayanos. I am a loyal customer and while the fit has fluctuated over the last 9-10 yrs, it is still the best shoe I've found, before and after diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. I use these for running, walking, and elliptical, as well as around the house for cleaning and housework. Second: The black/coral runs SMALL. I read the reviews and wasn't sure whether this was the black/black but either way, I went ahead and ordered my usual 6 1/2, and could barely get my foot inside. BELIEVE IT! Fortunately Zappos is so awesome that they now let me exchange for the size up so it was only a couple days' turnaround to get the new pair, and the size 7 fit fine. I really wanted the black/coral because I think it's super cute and understated, but not boring. They are quite a narrow fit, which works for me. I have narrow feet and have actually ordered the narrow width in the past, but I did read others' reviews saying these ran narrow so I just went with the B-width in these and it fits like a AA. As others have mentioned, the Gel-Kayanos do tend to stretch out with time and some models have run a little wide and loose in my opinion, so I think these are perfect. If you have wide feet, this shoe might not work for you. I don't know if the width varies with any other colors. If you're ordering black/coral, save yourself the time and order a half size up. These are the most comfortable Gel Kayanos I've owned so far. The cushion is unbelievable. I used them for a treadmill run as my test-out, and had zero foot pain afterwards. These shoes rock! Others I've tried since having RA had left my feet so sore that I had to elevate and ice them after exercise. These are worth every penny. No need for replacement insoles. And Zappos, I love you! :)

I normally get a regular width in the Kayanos (18-19-20-21), but based on other reviews, I got a wide in the 22's. They fit perfectly and are super comfortable.

I always buy Asics Gel Kayanos. I love them! These shoes, however, are my all time favorites! The fit, cushion, all the way around is amazing. I will continue to buy - no doubt. I always buy one size up and that is consistently perfect.

I have very difficult feet to fit. My bunions and arthritis in my toes makes shoe buying very unpleasant even with sneakers. I tried three different sneaker companies to find one that felt right. I did go up half a size in these sneakers from 9½W to 10W and they are super comfortable. I can walk all day. The arch support is great and room in the toe box. I ended up buying a second pair to save for later this year.

Be careful with the ASICS GEL Kayano 22 shoe - it runs small, both in size and width. I normally get ASICS GEL shoes but my usual models are discontinued, so I decided to try the Kayano 22 shoe. I was very disappointed with the fit. I tried my usual size and width, and it was extremely uncomfortable with the length being short and the width being too tight. I then tried getting my usual size with the next width up, but this shoe's length was also too short but the width was ok. I gave up on this model and returned this shoe. If you want this shoe, be sure to try ordering a larger size and a larger width than you usually get, since this shoe runs small in both length and width. I walk for exercise and I prefer shoes with GEL or Memory Foam. I ended up with the ASICS Gel Foundation Walker 3 shoe (order the usual size (length) but the next width up) and the Brooks Ghost-8 (usual size, usual width).

These sneakers are amazing. I have been having problems with plantar fasciitis and it has Inhibited me from doing normal activities for the past few weeks. When I wear them it's like walking on a cloud. Heel pain temporarily goes away when wearing these. I would definitely buy them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe.

I've used Brooks Ariels for about 8 years but they changed this past year and actually caused me plantar issues this past year instead of preventing it. I've had my Asics for a week now and they are soooo comfortable...like walking on a cloud. I love these shoes. Thank you Asics for making my feet feel good again.

Boo Asics. I have always loved your shoes. I loved my 20s so much that I bought two pairs. I have bunions and need wide shoes. The wide 22s are not wide and the toe box is lower. That is very painful. They are beautiful shoes and well cushioned if you do not require the width. I am so sad to send them back.

This is my third pair of Asics but my first try with the Kayano - I always bought the Cumulus. Kayano is very cushioned and comfortable. It has a narrower profile than the Cumulus, especially in the toe box. It definitely feels more snug and seems to run smaller than the Cumulus, in which I wear an 8 (my non-sneaker shoe size is 7 to 7½). But I kept the size 8 Kayano and will just wear thinner athletic socks. These gel Asics have been great for aerobic workouts and walking/running.

I was so sad with the fit of this shoe. I have worn Asics Gel-Kayano WIDE for 15 years. I have always run in the size 10, Wide. This shoe is much more narrow that the past 15 models. I had neuroma removal surgery last year and really need a wide running shoe. For trail I can use the Inov 8 but now for road I am looking again. I'm going to try Altra or Hoka. If you have a wider foot, this wide shoe is no longer wide.The shoe is otherwise fantastic but the wide is just not wide anymore, for my wide foot. If you have a normal size foot, this shoe is the best road shoe out there. I have to rate it lower because of the narrowness, not because of the product itself.

I've worn ASICS GEL-Kayano's for years and I love them most for the arch support and consistency/reliability. That being said, this pair seems to look a bit different as well as feel a little different. All good though...just as fantastic for running as all the others I have owned.

I have worn a couple different models of the Asic Gels over the years. First time for Kayano. I wear 4½ medium shoe, take a 5 medium in other Asics sneakers, and found these Kayano 22 in a 5 medium were snug in width and short in length. The toe box was cramped pinching big toes and squeezing toes into a narrowed toe box. The big toes hit the top of the shoe box as well. The fit does not seem to be accurate for me. I am in process of exchanging the usual 5 medium Asics Kayano for a 5½ medium Asic Kayano 22. I just returned a pair of Vionics sneakers in a 5 medium as too much room in toe box, and severely irritated and inflamed my medically diagnosed heel spur. Zappos is a wonderful company to deal with, however at this holiday time of year I have more to do than to buy sneakers online and keep returning to try out a new size. I think the Asic Company needs to address these complaints and fix this model shoe. Great arch support. But the width, length and toe box do not seem to be a problem for me.

I always buy the same shoe in the same size when I find one that I like and this has been my shoe even when it has updated versions. I have wide feet and wear a 10W women's and they have changed the shape of the toe box so it is too narrow. Bummer as I do not know what I will wear now. I am trying a 9 mens in the same shoe or looking for older versions that are still around.

I work in a retail store on a hard tile floor. I ordered these shoes to wear for the busy holiday season. I just completed a seven day stretch of work that included Black Friday. I never once thought about my feet even on the day I logged 10.43 miles on my step counter device. They were comfortable on day one of wear. My feet love these shoes and I love Zappos!

Alas, foot issues mean I must be very picky about shoe comfort. For me, this is THE BEST shoe I've ever owned for running, for walking, and for being on my feet and running errands all day. I have a wide forefoot and narrow heel. I need arch support and cushioning. I have a pair in black for winter, white for summer, and just got a pair of blue ones, which look good enough with jeans.

I have a recurring case of PF and have a hard time finding shoes that have enough cushioning. I walk daily and have a very physical job. I took a chance with these shoes and I LOVE THEM!! Great support, very comfortable and I am able to be much more productive without foot, knee and hip pain. I will definitely be purchasing them again when this pair wears out!

This is my third pair of Gel Kayanos. They provide great support and design. I have received lots of compliments. I needed to size up half a size. This newer model seems narrower than prior, but works on my narrow feet with prominent bunions.

The Asics Gel is very comfortable and true to size. I wear a large size and it is difficult to find the correct shoe to fit my foot. I had to return the incorrect size 13 and I asked for a 12 and 1/2 Narrow, That now fits perfectly for my 12 Narrow foot. I must say the ease of returning the shoe was awesome. I am very pleased with this purchase and I will certainly be ordering again in the near future. In fact, I just did order a pair of boots on Cyber Monday!

Have these shoes in 2 colors - I fractured my foot a few years ago and these shoes let me walk in comfort.

I have been waiting for the 22's to come out for a long time! I was pleased with the new Asics and so glad they corrected the issues from the 21's.

My feet are in heaven when I were these Aspics. They are so very comfortable. I had ordered insoles for them, but they don't need them. Just remember, they run small. I usually where a size 8-8.5, and in these I am size 9. The colors are a little flashy for me, but I'll get used to it. I also tried!
