Beware! I have been wearing Kayanos for years and have always worn 7.5 regular width. I ordered my regular size, but they are so small! My big toe is pushing into the front of the sneaker and the width is definitely smaller! Ugh...so upset! These were always my "go to" running sneaker. Not anymore.

So comfortable! Feels like a firm sleep number mattress inside the shoe! Colors are great - welcome to spring! I'm excited to see how they feel beyond two days wearing them around the house.

The same shoe I have been wearing for a year and a half but felt worn and had no support. The shoe left me with awful shin splints every 2.5 miles and I usually run at least 8 miles three times a week.

Kudos to Zappos customer service for being so great with all my returns! These are cute shoes but the fit is just not right. They run small and narrow. I usually wear a 7.5 so I tried the 7.5 (too tight and my toe rubs the end of the shoe). Next I tried a 7.5D (wide). The wide's were not as narrow but my toe still rubs the end of the shoe. I tried an 8 but my heel slips out. So I returned all of them and am going to look for a different shoe since these just don't fit. Bummer!

I never spent this much for sneakers. They are worth every penny to me! I used to wear New Balance (I have wider feet) until my boyfriend turned me on to Asics gel-kayano 22. By far, the best sneaker ever. They are so comfortable, I really can forget to take them off. True to size. This is my first ever review btw.

This is my close to my tenth pair of ASICS. I have found the Kayano to be the best fitting for my foot. My arch tends to be in an off position and I have tried everything on the market and always end up back with the ASICS. I do circuit training five days a week. No running, bad knees. Love this color but for some reason the 22s do not feel quite as comfortable as the 21s did. I will keep them as my 21s are worn out.

Dang it, I want these shoes! Got the black and turquoise, love the colors and the look, and general cushy-ness. But, they go back. I'm 124 lbs, 5' 6" for reference, usually wear 8 1/2 Medium. I sized up a half size to 9, and they are still about 1/4" too short. The outer toe box a tad too narrow, rubbing on my foot, and I am a runner. Feel like another half size up will be too long, and re-ordering in a wide be too sloppy. Anyway, my narrow-ish heel slips in this current size as it is. This is the weirdest sizing on a Kayano I ever found! But if you are lucky enough to have a foot just right for this, you will probably love them, as they are so cute and so thickly cushioned.

These sneakers have saved my poor aching feet. I was having severe pain in my foot due to various issues. This specific brand was one recommended by my orthopedist as being very stable, roomy and comfortable. He said that wearing a running sneaker would be better for me than one for walking. He was correct on all accounts. After wearing them for a couple of months all pain disappeared. Pricey but considering the result well worth the money.

The first time I tried on a pair of asics I felt as if they had my foot in the factory when designing the shoe. It was dreamy. I always just go online and order the next shoe. When these came in the mail I was so excited to get them out of the box and try them on. They were super tight and stiff. I really mean hard! No bend, no comfort. I thought for sure that the one pair of shoes was just defective. From reading other reviews I didn't order another pair.

I like Asics to begin with because they are available in larger sizes. This pair was recommended in a running magazine for stability and padding. They are great! They are so comfortable and they seriously put a spring in my step! I normally wear a WW but the 13D is fine. I like the all over support of this shoe and it's fashionable as well. A rarity in my size.

Love these shoes, however like previous reviewers said, they are too narrow. Very sad as I really like this brand and the color is beautiful.

Well...not thrilled! Been wearing the same Asics for at least 10 years....loved them. So, why did they change the toe shape to narrow? I really don't have wide feet either. I ordered a new pair in Wide, hoping they would work. Seems as if Wide is really wide! Returned both the regular and wide and wearing my old Asics until I can find a replacement. Seems like Asics has decided to cut costs and in turn are cutting out their regular customers.

Asics is the only shoe I can buy and wear right out of the box, the only shoe that I can get in a 2A. Of course, they only make about four of each so selecting a color I actually like is not an option. I was shocked when I received my 12AAs this time and they were too short! I called Asics and was told they had changed their sizing and I would just have to get a bigger size. Had to send these back and get a 12.5 you can imagine how few options there are. When I pay this much for shoes I would at least like to think they look good.

Incredibly uncomfortable shoes. I realize they are for pronators but the unnecessary puffiness, as I can best describe it, at the balls of your feet is incredibly uncomfortable. I disliked these shoes so much I took them off halfway through an elliptical workout.

These are my first Asics. I bought them based on recommendations from other Zappos clients. They are very cushiony and it is very comfortable to walk in them (my preferred exercise). I like that the colors are not too wild. I never have wanted my size 13 feet to glow in the dark. Oh, and thank you, Asics, for making a women's 13!

I have always been a 12.5 N in the Gel-Kayano. I normally wear a 12 in other shoes. I read the other reviews stating they ran too short and narrow. I ordered both the 12.5N and 13N. The 12.5N did run differently than in the past. They were slightly shorter and narrower than my last few pairs, but I think it is enough where it will cause issues. AND the 13N were way too big. Now I'm on the hunt for a new shoe. I'm debating to go with the Asics Cumulus in a 12.5N, which fit much better than the Kayanos but the sole is not as comfortable. It is a little stiffer. I have also tried the 12.5 regular width in the Kayanos in the black with coral color, these were too wide. It was made differently than the blue with pink which is the only color that comes in narrow. I'm giving them 3 stars all around just because of the fit. Otherwise, I have always loved the Kayanos. Have worn them for 15+ years.

So far, so good. I agree with others that the toe box is smaller on version 22, but it has not been a problem for me. If the front of your foot is wide, I suggest buying a wider width or half size larger. I am wearing the same size 5 that I wore in the version 20. I run and walk 10+ miles a week and have been replacing my Asics about once a year. I have mild plantar fasciitis and need a shoe with excellent support and cushioning.

This is the first time I bought this brand and I love it! I have a narrow foot so was concerned that only the medium was available. Turns out to be perfect - it does run narrow. It is a terrifically comfortable shoe.

I am usually a big fan of the Asics Gel-Kayano. They have served me well over many years for lots of miles of dog walking and occasional running (5Ks). I ordered the same size I got in my last Kayanos which was a 7M. They were too narrow. I returned those for the 7D. Believe it or not the 7D feels more narrow and even shorter than the 7M. I do not think that I am going to have a lot of success with the back and forth order-return-order-return with these shoes. I am going to the local running shoe store instead. I probably should have started there to begin with. Sigh.

The Asics Gel-Kayano 22 is the most comfortable for me in the Asics brand that I have tried, although the price is very high. In fact, the price is higher than the better made shoe, Brooks Adrenaline. The Brooks line seems to have a "disagreement in sizing" presently. In the past, Brooks made Adrenaline 13 and 14 that were absolutely perfect for me and true to size, but I read that now, their sizing is confusing, offering a smaller shoe with previous stated sizes. Why would they do this? Over the past years, I have ordered six pairs of the Brooks Adrenaline, but now I am not interested in playing with the struggle of different sizing. They have lost a customer. Thank you, Asics for offering Women's size 12½ and 13 in several styles. This has really helped me in comfort. I have ordered two pairs in a women's size 12½ of the Asics Gel-Kayano 22 successfully and am looking forward to some good hiking with these (I do not run). They have great support, bouncy insoles and are narrow enough to fit my long, narrow foot. Unfortunately, I do not expect them to last as long as my Brooks shoes did, but I am still happy. In general, I do not like the exotic coloring of running shoes. I do love buying through Zappos, though. Thank you, Zappos!

These shoes feel stiff, run very narrow and a half size small as well... Not nearly as comfortable as the GEL-Kayano21 pair I bought last year. They are going back.

I love these shoes! This is the second pair of gel kayano shoes that I have had and I am sold. I normally wear an 11 narrow and have to size up to an 11 1/2 on these but the narrows fit me perfectly. I mostly walk in mine as I don't really run much and the arches and cushion are very supportive and keep my plantar fasciitis at bay. Unfortunately, asics does not make the narrows in all of the colors so I don't always love the color combinations they have but I will sacrifice style for comfort here.

This shoe is very narrow. I have worn asics for years and have purchased a wide width as I find that asics runs a little narrow. However the wide width in this shoe is more narrow than a standard width in other models. The cushion and arch support are awesome in this shoe; so I'm keeping and will break in.

I wear the Kayano 21 and believed there was no better shoe. But I gave the new Kayano 22 version a try, and did not care for it the first time I tried it on. The softer mesh sides did not seem as supportive, and my plantars fasciitis problem did not seem as happy on my first try. But I decided to give it another chance and ended up falling in love with this shoe. I still put my Profoot plantars orthotic in for my foot problems, and it gives me the perfect supportive shoe. The Kayano 22 is narrower than the 21, but the mesh hugs my foot in a positive way. The arch support is great, and the shoe helps to correct the pronation issues. I run (or jog/walk), and I work 10 hours a week (for fun) on a concrete floor. Both of these things have contributed to my plantars fasciitis problem, but I do pretty well for my 63 years. As a retired science teacher, I can tell you that comparing siblings is never a good idea. Though related, they bring different qualities and characeristics to the table. The same descriptor applies to sibling shoes. Kayano 22 does differ from Kayano 21, but don't compare - contrast and give the new kid a chance to demonstrate what it can do. Sometimes, change needs a little time to grow on you. I think the Kayano 22 has wonderful and comfortable support, hugs my foot a little tighter, and keeps my foot from slipping in the wider toe box of the Kayano 21. I am between an 8-8.5 but always purchase an 8.5 in my running shoes. The 8 would be too short, and you never want your toes hitting the end of your shoes for running. The mesh sides of the 22 still allow me plenty of room for my plantars fasciitis orthotics without being crowded. I like the hug on my foot. Super looking shoe in the black flash with coral. Try this shoe before dismissing it because it is not just like its older sister Kayano 21. Zappos rocks and is superior at customer service.
