I have narrow feet and these seemed much narrower than the last pair I purchased two years ago, but that's good for me. Same size as last pair, but better. Super comfortable right away - no blisters and great color.

Have been a loyal Asics Gel Kayano customer for years, but my newest pair of Kayano 22 have been a big disappointment. Not sure if anyone else noticed this problem, but Asics has redesigned the Kayano 22 toebox and made it narrower from the top. It appears the show curves up at the front, which results in a narrow toebox. This means the top of the shoe hits my toenails, and I had a terrible experience with sore middle and third toes on both feet. Never had this problem with my Kayano 21s, and I hope this desing flaw will be corrected in the Kayano 23s.

I am a big asics fan. I went from gt 2000s to the gel kayano 22s. This shoe is comfortable & supportive & I am very satisfied with my purchase. I love the black color as well, makes it easy to match with multiple outfits! You won't be disapointed with these awesome shoes! Cheers!

The toe box is way too narrow! Same size as my previous GEL Kayanos, but now I need to find a new running shoe.

As many others have noted, while the 22 seems to have an improved heel 'grip' fit, for someone who never normally buys 'wide fit', even the wide fit option for the 22 was too tight and uncomfortable. Very disappointing as a 'serial' Kayano buyer of some 4 generations, I had to return the wide fit and look elsewhere for an alternative to the Kayano 22.

Unfortunately the shoes were too small and I had to return them. They were comfortable and I wish they would have fit me.

These shoes were not as comfortable as the other ASICS have previously purchased.

I just received these shoes and love them. I try to read reviews on fit before purchasing, so just wanted to add that although I had on a older pair of ASICS in my regular size when these arrived, they are definitely NOT the same length. I exchanged for 1/2 size up and they fit perfect. Although I see reviewers claiming they are too narrow, I do not find that to be the case. I always wear a narrow shoe, and these fit very comfortably.

Great shoes if you need a lot of cushion and structure. I had to order a wider size as they seem to fit snug. They solved my achy feet problem.

Asics, what the ___ did you do this sneaker? This was the only sneaker that sort-of fit my bunioned feet and gave me some support. Now you've made the toe box smaller and suddenly the shoes in wide are too tight. I'm incensed.

I have and always will buy Asics. I purchased these in a wide width because I planned on wearing a thick cushioned sock with them so I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room. I normally don't need a wide width in Asics but these do seem to run narrow. I wouldn't have been able to wear these in a medium width with a jersey liner sock. But the wide width works and they have great mushy padding. Not as padded as Nimbus 17 but great none the less.

Was extremely disappointed with the fit of this new style - seems like some shortcuts were taken - I have worn this style for years with great success - the new style is much more narrow throughout the toe box! The toe style is not nearly as rounded as previous styles. I will be searching for an alternative shoe.

I have worn Gel Kayano for as long as they have been made. This is a totally different shoe. Toe box is small, too narrow in the front. Extremely disappointed

I have two pairs of Asics size 8 normal width, but these were way too tight. I had to return them.

I have been ordering Asics Gel Kayanos for several years. 8.5 med is always a perfect fit. This time the fit was a little narrow. I did read that in other reviews but decided to try anyway. Bumping to a 9 would feel too big I think. Wore them once and they were tight (pain between the balls of my feet) but hopefully they will stretch. Can't return now...not real satisfied. Still baffled WHY Asics has to change a good thing every year. What is the point of branding (Kayano) if it's different every year! All that said...they are very cute.

Thank goodness I have finally found a narrow width running shoe that is actually narrow! I've worn Brooks for years but the narrows have become so wide it's ridiculous. There are not very many options for narrow feet, yet tons of options for wide feet, I just don't get it. I have ordered 5 pairs in total this year, I run 10ks and half marathons, and these shoes are just awesome, they fit like a glove. I used to struggle with Achilles tendinitis and a myriad of other issues because my foot would wobble in shoes that were just too wide. Please do not change the make up of these shoes, they are my absolute favorite!

Be Aware!! Have worn gel Kayano size ten for years-these did not fit and feel very different. They have changed the style considerably enough for me to change brands. Gave this pair away. Not saying it's a bad shoe-just not for me anymore!!

Love these because they are comfortable on my problem feet, hips and back. I need lots padding, mesh outside on bunion area and not too wide overall (NARROW HEEL) but like wide toe box due to bunion. I would order a different color but none are available at this time. PLEASE RESTOCK !!

Comfortable, I did not give it 5 stars because the toe box is a not as wide as I would have liked. In the past I have ordered the GEL-Noosa which does have a wide toe box. I loved the color of this design and they are a vibrant as the picture.

these are my favorite shoes at first ever but ASICS is thinning out the heel area fabric - even though I take them on and off by unlacing the backs shred and have no fabric left in just 5 weeks

Hard to rate because they are so small I can't really wear them! I have to agree, the sizing has changed. I had two pair of Kayano 21s that fit great... but these are way too small. Going back. Hoping a different style will run larger!!

My normal size in street shoes is 8 or 8.5 B or C (depending on how they are made), but I always go longer with the Gel Kayanos. The last pair I had was the Kayano 20 in a 9B, and I ordered the same size in the 22. They fit just fine. Others have commented that the toe box is narrower than before, and I think this is true, but the 20 was a bit wide in that area for me, so narrowing it was not a problem for me. I have a heavy duty pair of orthotics due to an ankle injury (I can't run any longer, so I do the elliptical) and they fit into the shoes.

i wanted to love these shoes but I do agree with other reviewers--they are narrower than usual and thus ended up being impossibly uncomfortable.. They're so darned cute! But I do think you need a narrow foot for these to work.

I ordered my shoes by phone. Customer service was great! Because I was a new customer they gave me free one day shipping which I thought was fantastic.
