I need a very supportive shoe and these are exactly what I need. Very comfortable and I love the bright pop of color compared to all over bright color.

The color is a bit brighter than I was expecting, but these shoes are really supportive for people like me with plantar fasciitis. The bottom is strong and stable and the shoes are pretty lightweight compared to other shoes that help with plantar fasciitis. The shoes run a little big. I am normally a size 8½-9 in women's but had to get an 8. I have tried a few other brands that are supposed to be good for support (like Brooks) but I have noticed that my feet feel much better in Asics. I will continue buying these shoes for a while.

I absolutely love my Asics gels. They are so comfortable. I bought my first pair in New York City because my pretty shoes that I had brought to walk in were leaving me crippled. These saved my feet! So upon returning home, I wanted another pair. I am enamored with the bright colors which we saw lots of joggers in the city wearing, but I do not see locally.

I ordered a pair of ASICS GEL-Kayano 22 shoes. I am very happy with them. It is extremely hard for me to get comfortable shoes due to my narrow width. These are great! I love them. I wish I could get them on black.

These are the best running shoes I have found for my long, narrow feet. They are super comfortable, fit well and look great, too! I did find that this model ran a 1/2 size smaller than the 21s, so you might want to order up.

BEST SNEAKERS EVER! I wore them every day on vacation (lots of walking) and couldn't have been more pleased. Cute colors that go with everything. Highly recommend.

These are worth every penny. I typically run 4-6 miles daily. These are such ideal training shoes--so soft and cushioned--made my runs less jarring right out of the box!

Why, oh why, do shoe companies change a really good thing? I have worn Kayanos for years and loved the fit, the comfort, the support. Color me sad: this new model is a cheap, unsupportive, but no less expensive version of the previous Kayanos. How bad is it? Well, I was recently in London and walked nine miles in these shoes one day. My feet hurt so badly by the time I returned to my hotel that I actually left the shoes there. The arch support was virtually non-existent. I had blisters on the tops of my toes and the two outside toes on each foot...which tells you a lot, since I always buy the wide width and have never had this issue before. A nine mile walk is nothing and previous Kayanos have stood up to the challenge. Shame on you, Asics, for messing with what was once a really great shoe. I am now on the hunt for another brand.

I used to always buy 9.5 but it seems lately they seem a little long...not just this shoe but all my shoes! Did my feet shrink or has sizing changed. The shoe is great and not all those awful shiny fabrics they've been putting on their shoes. I only buy ASICS and these are the reason why.

The picture looks much better than the real product. The material looks cheap and color combination is hideous. They are also very narrow.

I am one of those people that have a hard time finding shoes because my feet are so narrow. So when I read previous reviews of this shoe saying that it was narrow, I assumed it would fit me perfectly. But I was surprised to find that they are way too narrow! The length of the shoe was fine and they were very comfortable despite being narrow, so I am going to try and reorder these shoes in a wide and hope that works.

These were a gift for my daughter who has had back surgery and several knee surgeries. They were recommended by her pain management specialist. She chose the neutral color for maximum wearability.

This shoe saved my feet on a recent trip abroad. Plantar fascitis nearly ruined the trip, but these were like clouds under my feet. I really like that they're in between a neutral and stability shoe. Good arch support, amazing cushioning, and no harsh medial post. Only downsides are that they get a bit hot and that the cushions meant I didn't have as much "grip" and connection with the ground as I would like when hiking. The heat (and crazy colors) are why I gave it only 4 stars.

I just love these shoes. I did order a half size up and wide width, when I normally wear a 8 B.. but these are fabulous shoes and are the best for walking. They have wonderful all over cushioning.

More narrow than the 20s I am replacing, some strange piece that smashes the top of your big toe. Uncomfortable. Sending them back.

I had heard rumors that Asics's newer models of shoes were running more and more narrow, but I went ahead and ordered this, the newest Kayano. Unfortunately they are SO different from the 21 and are way too narrow, even with a wide. Just looking at my previous Kayano 21 and the Kayano 22 side-by-side (both a 9.5-wide) they are completely different shapes. The support and comfort is there, but if you need a wider shoe, the Kayano 22 Wide is NOT wide enough.

I love these shoes. I have foot issues and need a wide shoe. I ordered a D width and the shoe fits true to size. I have had a lot of complements on the color and style. Great support. My daughter wants to order the same shoe!!

Super comfy padding, and support is good. I ordered 10w per others suggestions but it is too long. Will try smaller. So far love it except the sizing.

I loved the Gel Kayano 20 for the nice wide toe-box. Unfortunately, these were just not quite as comfortable.

Hurrah! You had me at "they run narrow." Toe boxes have gotten entirely too roomy for me in the past few years. The soles are firmer and less cushion-y giving this shoe better support than the Kayano 21. The Kayano 21's wore out quickly. I know I put a lot of miles on running shoes, but I have always been able to get 3 months out of a pair. The plastic that the 21's were shot with flattened out after only 2 months. I do wish I had gone a half size up.

I love these shoes! I've been a loyal Asics running shoe buyer for several years now, due to the comfort and durability. I never have to break in these shoes, and I've tried other brands as well. I love these particular 22's as they seem more ventilated and stretchy in the toe box, which is very helpful. Very nice arch support as well. I would prefer a more toned-down choice of colors, but I suppose that's the style these days. These ones are super bright! Otherwise, a perfect shoe for me!

I've just bought a second pair of these after having worn the first pair pretty much nonstop for the past six weeks or so, for morning walks and everything else. I bought a half size larger than usual, and they fit just about perfectly. The wide width is what I need, and it seems fine.

Narrow! I love these sneakers, but had to order a wide because the medium width was tight across the toe box, even when I tried a half size up. I have never in my life ordered a size wide in any shoe before, so (like many other reviewers), I think these were just very narrowly sized.

First, THANK YOU ZAPPOS! You are amazing. I have lots of problem with my feet. I walk 5 to 6 miles a day and need lots of toe room so have been wearing Brooks Addiction walker for years. Although they are great shoes, they are not exactly fashionable... I really wanted something more attractive and updated that matched my style but that was comfy enough for me to still do my workout. I ordered approximately 20 shoes and all hurt my feet, non worked out. And then one of the Zappos' staff suggested these and magic. THEY ARE AMAZING and the best part is that they are cute. I did a 6 mile walk yesterday and kept them on the rest of the day till bedtime with no pain. So I immediately ordered 2 more pairs just in case ASICS stops the 22. I will say that the Black ones run a half size smaller for some reason but the Blue are perfect. Also note, although I do not have wide feet, I ordered the wide for toe comfort and they are perfect... BEST walking shoes I have ever had. They are worth every penny. THANK YOU Zappos for allowing me to drive you crazy with my returns and having the BEST customer service. I FOUND MY PERFECT WALKING SHOES. I highly recommend these.

Very comfortable, well-cushioned. I wear these for running - training for a marathon. Have worn them on a few long runs now and have been very happy. However, they do run narrow. I have previously worn the Kayano 19s (the 20 & 21 did not fit as well in the arches) and these are significantly more narrow than the 19. I usually wear an 8.5M in regular shoes and a 9.5M in running shoes to give my toes some extra room. I had to exchange for the 9.5W in these. They are now wide enough, but I actually wouldn't mind if they were even a little wider. Overall, a great shoe!
