I have a macbook air 11 inch and an iPad air I use regularly. I am able to store the chargers and the devices easily along with additional items. I love the feel and look of the bag. I take it wherever I go and I love it!

I Went to San Francisco today for the Giants World Series parade, and it was raining like crazy, luckily, this awesome bag kept all of my items dry and safe. Not only does it look and feel good, it's weatherproof! I love love love this bag.

This bag is perfect for me: element protection, comfortable, age appropriate and fashion forward. My only wish would be a quick access place for keys. This is my first back pack purchase from TIMBUK2. In the past I relied on a TIMBUK2 messenger bag, so I'm already a fan of the product/quality. I switched to see if a back pack works better with my need for more space and comfort. I purchased the pack during summer and have yet to see how it stands up in the Seattle rain, however I'm not worried. Thanks TIMBUK2 for opening a store in Seattle!

I started law school this year, and my old bag wasn't cutting it. I needed something that could fit my enormous textbooks, laptop, lunch, and other daily necessities since I have a 45-minute commute to school. This solved all of my problems. ALL of my books fit, and I still have room for the laptop and a lunch! I love all of the pockets, where I can fit chargers, pens, a toothbrush, gum, Advil, you name it! It travels nicely on the subway and is VERY comfortable. I also already feel my posture improving. [I don't think I will ever go back to a messenger bag again, even if they are more stylish.] This bag is just a million times more practical. I also consider this bag a bargain! I have had Timbuk2 products before, in fact, my last bag was Timbuk2. They last FOREVER and are easy-to-clean. I would still be using it, if it could accommodate all of my stuff, but I just needed something better. Considering how well this functions and how long I know it will last, I consider it a great buy!

This bag is more perfect in person. I have had several Timbuk2 bags in the past, but mainly commuted with an Osprey daypack that claimed to be water proof. I got a little tired of finding my things damp, and the bag wasn't quite big enough to fit everything I wanted it to carry. I'm moving to London to go to grad school, and needed a bag that could keep up with me and the weather, so I bought the Spire. Super comfy, roll-top, water proof (sailboat tested), great number of pockets and secret compartments. I don't think I'll ever get sick of looking at this bag. Timbuk2, you've done it again.

Sometimes, late at night, I get out of bed to sit and and just stare at my Timbuk2 Spire backpack. I love it like no other object.

Great backpack for me going to work with the least amount of luggage and my laptop. Being a teachers aide instead of me taking my oversized Targus. I wish I would have got this instead of the Targus.

Pretty solid backpack. It can hold two large bags of groceries with room for a six-pack. I use it basically for the commute and bike messengering. The downside of this bag is that it is water-resistant. I got caught in a bad storm and the bottom had water. This bag can hold 20 to 30 pounds of stuff no sweat.

I use this backpack for work. It fits my lunch bag, purse, laptop, and more. The only reason I am giving this a 4 and not a 5 is because of the velcro top. My sweaters have gotten caught when I open the bag and it's a bit annoying.

I invested in this backpack because the company treats you well. This backpack has lots of space and functions as I need it to for commuting via train. I do wish it was a bit wider so I could fit a change of shoes horizontally instead of vertically, but overall a solid backpack.

I use my bag as a mobile office for my job. It's great-looking and contained and I can easily wear it when I walk to work. The matterial is sturdy and water repellent which is great for western Oregon winters. My only complain is that I wish there were internal pockets. They way it is, I provide my own pouches to hold things like pens, computer cords, etc. I don't mind doing that, but it would have been handy if they were built in.

I'm really enjoying this bag so far. It's perfect for my very small MacBook. It's light and rugged in construction. It has the critical bottle holder, lots of pockets, and the lock holder is pretty nifty.

This is the best everyday backpack to bring my iPad, wireless Bluetooth headphones and a few other essentials. The only thing I wish it had was a keychain attachment.

The Spire is a great bag for commuting. It has a roomy main compartment for stuffable items and the interior computer/file pockets keep my work papers safe. My favorite feature is the access zipper on the back that allows me to reach my iPad or papers without opening the whole bag. And, of course, I don't have to worry about the contents in the rain. When I first put it on I found the bag a bit stiff against my back, the shoulder straps a bit close together at the top and the bag a bit too long for my short torso. But I've worn it a few times and have gotten used to the new feel.

I've had the Spire for four months now, and I have no complaints. I purchased the Nautical color when it was on final sale, and I've been using it daily for work to carry my work laptop, and I've taken it on two work trips to San Diego and New Orleans. The Spire was perfect as my carry-on item during both my worktrips; it held my laptop and assorted peripherals (laptop charger and iPhone charger), notebook, and a spare change of clothes (jeans, tee shirt, boxer briefs, and a light hoodie) on the off chance my luggage got lost. No issues at all. For the sale price I paid, I feel that this backpack is more than worth the price; however, for me to give five stars, I feel like it would have to be perfect...and of course, perfection is hard to achieve. The only nitpicks I have seemed to be remedied with the Spire 2.0, specifically the lack of organization in the lower front pocket; it would have been nice if the mesh pouch zipped shut, or at the minimum, a little tighter. Additionally, it's actually pretty difficult to remove the laptop from the rear zipper that allows quick access to the laptop compartment; the Spire 2.0 has a side zipper. The Spire is a good buy at the discounted price, but I'm considering upgrading to the 2.0.

This bag is excellent. It fits just the right amount of gear for a day at work and the gym after. I typically stay away from roll-top and similar bags, but the Spire makes great use of pockets, webbing, and laptop access, so it's a win. The only real crquets i have so far is the hook on the top of the bag. This is both good and inconvenient- it is sometimes difficult to un fasten, and it requires more than a little wiggling.

Pros: - construction quality is excellent - thoughtful design, including hook-rollover top, laptop access from back (which is awesome), the nice big water bottle mesh pocket, and the top front pocket being so spacious - looks great - nice colors, good styling - comfortable - I bike to and from work every day, and this is very comfortable to bike with and to walk around with Cons: - The backpack is very deep and on accessible from the top (there are no zippers which allow the sides to somewhat open), so getting items to and from the bottom requires reaching a ways down - It's also not very wide back-front, so putting wider items in is difficult, particularly when you have a laptop in there and/or things in the interior small pockets - I do wish the outer small pockets were divided a bit more - the top one is just a large space, so I wish it were maybe two separate, smaller pockets with zippers on either sides Overall, this is a great backpack, it just takes some getting used to; the "cons" are not all that serious

I have had the spire for 2 weeks and love it so far. I was looking for a bag that could do a lot for me as far as being casual or professional, carry a lot or carry a little, this bag does all of that. The roll top gives this bag the ability to pack all my gear for the day including work gear, gym gear, and meals. However, if I am just going to a business meeting and only need a laptop and notebook, the bag rolls down to a smaller size. Really the only con to the bag for me is that it takes 2 hands to unlock the latch and open the top of the bag, not easy access. They solve this by the easy access laptop zipper, but sometimes you need to get into the large storage area. Very minor inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this bag.

I really like the materials. The pockets give a decent amount of organization and having 2 different angle zippers on the front makes it easy to access while wearing it. It looks decently professional. It looks decently professional and the webbing sliders work really well for getting slack up out of the way. If I'm being honest though, it could stand some padding in one of the front pockets for glasses or a phone or something. Also, on the sides, it has all the straps but none of the functionality of proper molle webbing If you're going to add all the webbing straps at least space them like molle so we can add molle pouches and such if needed. changing at least one of them towards the bottom to a compression strap would be a welcome change too.

When I first purchased the Spire laptop backpack it was because of a sale price I just couldn't refuse. I didn't expect I would love this bag as much as I do. It is very simple yet adapts to so many situations. I can carry a lot of things and have quick access to all of them or travel light and not have any extra bulk from the bag. It adapts to you. The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is that the shoulder straps could be a little more comfortable by adding a tad more padding.

I researched a lot of bags and landed on the spire. It was the right size for commuting and holding gym gear, as well as weekend trips. I was hesitant about the clip to close it but really like it now. I also liked the straps that make it look tougher. I do wish the back pocket was bigger, it's hard to reach in and grab stuff.
