I think this is perfect for someone who commutes to work/school by bike. It has enough sleeves for your laptop and a tablet along with other books. I use this bag when travelling for because it stores tons of things in the main compartment. The outer surface is water resistant so if you're ever suddenly caught in some light rain it will remain dry on the inside which is fantastic! The ULock straps are what really makes it ideal for daily use because that's what I mainly use and many of my friends have bought the same bag for the same reason. I fell on my bag (without any electronics inside) when biking once and overall nothing ripped besides the mesh water bottle sleeve on the side. I think if you're willing to invest in a worthwhile bag this would be it.

My favorite bag - cyclists will love it. It's got your side pocket for thermos/ water bottle, that U-LOCK holder is a gift from God, and with both Velcro and a slidey clasp you can close it no matter how overstuffed it is. It's got places all over to hook carabiners onto, if that's what you're into, and plenty of pockets so you can keep your sunnies and keys and wallet in the roomy front pocket, and pens and notes in the pocket inside the main pouch. The side of the bag that lays against your back is breathable so you don't get all back sweaty, and the straps have good structure. Also you have that extra strap that you can buckle across your chest, which is a non-negotiable for me, it keeps the straps from digging into your armpits when you're riding the drop bars and makes you feel all safe and secure. I show everyone this bag and if it's not clear - I totally love it.

Okay I bought this bag with very high expectation which it didn't disappoint!!!! At first I had to sold my Wingman carry-on since it wasn't designed for heavy use, i.e. SLR Camera and big water bottle On the other hand I bike up and down the hill with books every single day (yes I am a student) The only thing this bag is missing that stopping it from becoming a better travel bag (which has TSC) is hip strap (see aviator 2015) So we can say that this is a bag can be used for both daily and travel (which it is) and the half TSC design can help you release some weight from your shoulder (no kidding) However the TSC also has some weight itself but it really helps a lot as you are carrying more weight!! The only thing I don't like about this bag is that the bottom seem so thin which I am afraid it will wear out fast :-( Overall this is a very decent bag!

I really like this backpack, you can add things to it with the straps. My friends like it also. I have used it for work and then use it for a camera bag also.

Only thing I've come across is when I pull things out of the bag, my pencils in the organizer tend to get pulled out easily. Other than that! It's a great bag!

I'm a graphic design student, advent biker/ longboarder, as well as constant walker (I live 1 mile by my campus so I walk daily) I've been looking for a backpack that is high quality/ has great durability/ and has a lot of storage space (with a good price) for a long time and I'm happy to say that I finally found it! This bag offers a lot of support as well, with the cushioned bit on the back, along with buckle pieces for the chest and adjustable straps for those who need it closer or looser to their body. This bag fits EVERYTHING. My 15" laptop in a sleeve, lunch bag, a couple note books, laptop charger, planner, my chromebook and tablet too if I wanted it (all in the big compartment. I'm exceptionally impressed as well with the other compartments that will hold things like my phone, keys, wallet, pencils/ pens, etc. You name it, and it can hold it-- I've attached a series of pictures as well with how deep the pockets go and with low LARGE the water bottle holder is. That was also a concern/ important piece for me. It's been able anything from a small mason jar to a large water bottle-- the mesh is very deep and stretchy.

I've loved Timbuk2 bags for years and after looking for a not too large bag to carry my stuff around I purchased the Spire. This bag is made of tough durable nylon and has a rubberized water resistant front to it, but the sides are still ballistic nylon, so I wouldn't say it's completely waterproof if that's what you're looking for....!

I use to carry around a huge swissgear bag that could handle my 15" mac, clothes for traveling, work and personal gear. That bag could carry everything! But eventually the strap broke. I didn't want to get the same bag (it wasn't very eye pleasing) but I needed the new bag to do the same. After lots of research, looking at price and space quality, this was it, the Timbuk2 Spire. I got it in goldrush. AND I LOVE IT! It looks great, feels great, and carries everything (a little less clothes tho, but more than what I expected!). I beat this bag up and it is holding up just find. We have been together going on 5 months, and no signs of wearing down.

Bought this as a gift. My plan was to stuff it full of books before I gave it to my boyfriend. That plan didn't work out because there was so much room in the backpack I couldn't possibly fill it. It's like Mary Poppins' bag, but with more pockets. My boyfriend loves the backpack and carries it everyday as his briefcase. He also uses it when we travel.

This is one of the best backpacks I have ever owned. The best thing about this bag is it is actually more comfortable when riding then actually carrying around. When I first bought this bag I only had a bike to get to school, run errands, and even buy groceries. In all of these aspects, this bag exceeds expectations. I even used it to go on a 4 day vacation and it fit everything just fine. It is large enough to hold everything I use (laptop, charger, 4 composition books, TI-84 calculator, a food container, a wrench, an alan key set, a sweater, and headphones) and then some. Even though the bag is not waterproof, it is VERY weather resistant. I have gotten the bag thoroughly soaked on many occasions and the only water damage is very small parts of my notebooks. One of my favorite features on this bag is the u-lock holder which i use everyday and can be access with both straps still on (which is nice). One of the only things I dislike about this bag is the pocket just inside the main compartment that can hold pens, a charger, etc. If it is not closed when trying to stuff books into the bag sometimes they get caught on it. The solution is just to make sure its closed after you use it. Other than that, FANTASTIC bag.

I spent a lot of time debating which backpack to get. I'm SO pleased with this one. I'm not even a bike rider and I love it. I am an avid city walker though and it's sufficiently comfortable for walking miles with it. The main advantages are its stylish look, durability, fantastic make, and intuitive design. I love the front pockets. They hold a ton of stuff - wallet, keys, makeup, business card case, tissues, etc. You can put your mini umbrella or water bottle in the side net thing. And then in the bag itself, it's pretty huge. You can fit your 15 inch laptop, notebooks, and a lot more. It's probably the best backpack I've ever owned...definitely the coolest looking and best designed.

This backpack is super sweet. The straps are very comfortable and the main compartment is spacious. I bought this backpack because my last pack was too small to carry all my books and this one more than fit all of them and a bag of chips.

I use this backpack almost everyday at college and if I just want to bring some stuff to a friend's house. The laptop pouch fits my computer almost exactly, and it has pockets that I can keep the charger and the mouse in. Pus the Carabiner loops allow it to carry even more stuff should you be so inclined. (I would but I don't have the carabiners). All in all it's a little pricey but it's practical, useful and looks awesome!

Bought this for my husband for Xmas and he absolutely loved it. It's stylish and is big enough to fit his mallets and drum sticks.. The bag has a lot of pockets and he likes how comfortable the straps are. Hoping that it will endure his wear and tears, but so far, so good.

I mainly use this bag to take to work and to protect my Microsoft Surface Pro during the commute. The laptop is easily accessible using the nifty zip access on the back of the backpack. Love the bag and looks great, I get a lot of comments about how great it looks.
