These are supposed to replace the 812 but do not. They are made cheaper, and the ankle height hits in the wrong place. They are not as supportive or nearly close to the old 812! I am disappointed as I have worn the 812 for many years and it fit the bill for me.

Much clunkier and heavier than the old 811. It felt comfortable but heavy on the foot when worn in the house. Not much cushioning on the ball of the foot. Afraid the lack of cushioning would be a problem if actually worn outside to walk around the city. The biggest problem is that it looks so much bigger and uglier than the 811. I have to wear the shoe with all clothes including dress pants. It was bad enough having to wear a black athletic shoe but by comparison, this one is MUCH worse. It's going back. Why do they have to keep discontinuing shoes that people like and replacing them with something worse?

I wear a 7N and these shoes fit like a 7B. I am very disappointed in New Balance. They are not like the shoes they used to make. I am seeking a different brand from now on. This week, I have returned two different New Balance shoes just because they do not fit and are not true to size. The leather is stiff and the style is horrible. Nothing like shown in picture.

I have worn New Balance shoes in the past and they had moderate arch support. This pair felt like there was nothing there. I'm not sure what has changed but the shoes were disappointing. They also felt big on my fit even though the size was accurate.

As someone with problem feet, it is challenging to find a shoe that fits well. With these shoes I can work on my feet for 8 hours and my feet still feel good. They do run a bit wide and I had to return the B width and get and narrow.

Worst shoe laces ever. They will not stay tied.I must tie them 2 dozen times a day.

Although I feel 'New Balance Quality' is not what they used to be, these shoes are perfect. What really frightens me... In the women's shoes, there are not very many white ones being made. It is all the bright crazy colors made for the younger gals. It's the first time in my life that I order a pair of shoes at night, and the very next morning they are on my front porch. Zappos is the best!

I wanted to like these, but alas it wasn't going to be. I used to wear New Balance 811 and they fit perfectly, you could remove the insole for your own orthotic and the leather wasn't all stiff. These shoes, the insole can not be removed without force and placing my orthotic over the non removable insole made the shoe impossible to get my foot into. Plus, there was no arch support and it made my bunion hurt. Back to looking for something else.

I bought these because they seemed to be the model most similar to WW812, which I liked a lot but are no longer being made. The length feels the same but they feel quite a bit narrower than the 812s, both in the body of the shoe and in the sole. Walking in these shoes feels less stable than walking in the 812s.

They do not hold up. I purchased in June 2020 and in January 2021, the bottoms have a large crack and wear through on one and the beginning on the same on the other. I feel betrayed by the terrible quality of the New Balance brand. I walked about 2 miles on blacktop roads and concrete sidewalks 3 to 4 times a week and this is how they hold up. I’m a long-time NB wearer asking you to beware before you purchase these. (I would have given much higher marks if they were quality.)

Love Zappos. I have Rheumatoid arthritis and have multiple issues and pain in my feet. I have to wear custom inserts to make walking possible. Zappos is the best source to find a shoe that fits the insert. My feet thank you and so do I.

More feminine look than some of the others. Almost a lacey look to them.

I have been purchasing the same new balance walking shoes yearly for about 20 years now. They always give me the perfect amount of support. This year - I knew I needed some additional arch support so I also purchased the 3/4 New Balance arch stability insoles and they are a winning pair! Perfect!

Love the fit! I feel stable in them. It’s very comfortable with or without my orthopedics in them. Wish NB would design better looking shoes for women in this style shoe with the rollbar

Have only worn once, but love them so far. I have a wide foot and the toe area is very roomy.

This is my second pair of 813. I do a lot of walking and standing throughout the day and these shoes fit my needs perfectly.

Not stylish but great for the feet to go the distance!

Fit and size were great. These were NOT made in our country - they were made in Indonesia (see tag.) Bought in June 2020 and the soles had worn through the bottoms by January 2021. Very poor quality. So disappointed because I’ve worn new balance for over 20 years for the arch support. I bought a Saucony Echelon 8 shoe as replacement and they’re great!
