This is a double review... I love the gel nimbus series! I've had one pair already, but made the mistake of getting my normal size. I should have gotten a half size larger. As they've compressed, I decided that since I have narrow feet, I should try the 2A version (that's their designation for narrow) of the latest iteration of the shoe. While the width was generally good, they were too narrow in the center of the shoe for me. In addition to being narrow, my feet are completely flat (think skinny tortillas). So the arch support hit too far in and hurt almost immediately. I'd also ordered a regular width shoe. I'm keeping those. This shoe is phenomenal for people with foot pain - great support for mild pronation and so so comfortable - as long as you get the right size/fit.

These shoes are so comfortable! I selected them because my shoes tend to wear on the balls of my feet, and these have front air pockets (most brands are just in the back). They are beyond comfortable, but as a result, they have a bit of a "platform" effect as compared to many other sneakers. I recommend them without reservation though.

Tried 3 different pair of Asics. These were by far the most comfortable. I wear for running and cross training. I ordered half size up and they are perfect. Worth the money.

My Asics GEL running shoes were exactly as the description read and the pictures were perfect. I have several of the same shoes and knew what to expect. This was the first time that I have ordered running shoes online and Zappos is an easy site to order from and the shipping was quick. Pleased in every way!

I love these even more than my last pair of gel-nimbus. great fit, good cushion, nice support. The toe box is more flexible with fabric and I love that. I got flash coral and the colors make me smile. Coral and aqua are my favorites. Though this coral is pretty close to neon orange. I only run about 25 miles a week, but these keep my feet happy and healthy.

First, I want to say the price of the shoe is more than what I wanted to spend. I figured could the shoe really be worth that much? But with Zappos offering free shipping I felt I had nothing to lose. I received them on time and tried them on....WOW!!! I was in love!!! I have problems with my feet...major heel pain!!! These sneakers are AMAZING AND I WILL BUY MORE OF THEM! They are worth every penny! The cushion and support is matched by no other! Trust me ladies...if you need cushion and support and need a shoe to help relieve pain...buy these!

This shoe did not disappoint. I have worn Asics for years. With a long narrow foot, I find many brands too wide for the length I need. Great fit!

The new Gel-Nimbus fits well and has lots of cushy comfort. The shoes felt true to size. I should say that I wear running shoes for everyday wear (because I'm on my feet a lot), not for running. To me, version 17 feels similar to version 14. The main difference is that I can feel the shoe on the top of my foot when the shoe bends. I was concerned that this sensation would bother me, but I got used to it within a few hours. I love wearing Asic's bright color combinations, but I was happy to see this version in black because sometimes it's nice for shoes to be less noticeabe.

Purchased these for my wife. We've been running in the Gel Nimbus for years...they never disappoint. The new design and color schemes are awesome. Great shoe.

I have worn Asics Gel Numbus series for years. (I average 30-31 miles a week year-round.) This is the most comfortable shoe I have ordered of the last several. I was worried by some of the reviews that discussed the narrower toe area. It is narrower than it has been. But for my foot, which I would describe as average width, it is perfect (and looks more stylish). The shoe is true to size and a dream of comfort.

Have not tried Asics before, I was looking for a comfortable shoe to help with my plantar fascitis. These shoes are amazingly comfortable with great support. The first shoe that has helped. Cushion is incredible. Color choices are not my favorite, but I highly recommend these.

I love Asics Gel Nimbus. It's all I've ever worn & I love getting them from Zappos. They have the best customer service out of anyone.

I replaced my Ascis GEL-Nimbus 16 with this one. I like them better because they are more cushioned and stable.

Awesome shoes! I am normally a die hard Nike fan but due to a back injury it was suggested to me to get Asics Nimbus. I bought two pairs of these shoes and I love them. They are super cushiony and super comfy and super stylish. 5 stars! And Zappos is awesome of course as I got these shoes in one day! Woot woot!

Most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time. I am a RN and on my feet all day. These shoes feel like pillows on my feet!

Love these shoes! I walk approximately 15 miles a day on concrete floors. These shoes supply the support and cushion my feet require to make it threw my day! I also have kind of a wide foot and always get B width in most brands and these have plenty of room for me to be comfortable. I can wear a size 8 but always purchase 8.5 for work shoes to make sure I have wiggle room.

Really didn't think they would be worth the price but after comparing them to my other slightly less expensive tennis shoes these were like walking on air!

Having a AA width makes Asics (and Zappos) my hero as the 2A width is getting more and more difficult to find!!! I also have a high arch and this shoe fits my arch perfectly compared to any other sport shoe I have worn.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have had in a long time. I have had problems with my feet and knees for a couple of years now ever since I broke my foot. But this pair makes me feel like I'm walking on air! Worth every penny!

Fantastic shoe for walking and working out at the gym. There is so much cushion which is great because my feet feel the burn pretty quickly. I will order another color for sure.

So far the Nimbus 17 seems just as comfy as previous iterations, though I skipped the 15 & 16. The only problems I have ever had with the Nimbus is that my big toe very quickly wears through the fabric and makes a hole just inside the toe guard. Am sincerely hoping this new design will alleviate the situation. The shoe is noticeably lighter than my last one and I am looking forward to putting many miles on it without my toe poking through. Nimbus, please do not disappoint me again!!!

Love Asics. This is my third pair of Nimbus and just as great as the others. I saw recommendations to order a half size up, but that would have been too big for me. I usually wear a 9 in athletic shoes and the 9s worked perfectly in these. Very comfortable! Good room in the toe box. No complaints.

Like walking on marshmallows. I was a devotee of the Brooks Glycerin, but they've changed something along the way and the Glycerin is no longer as cushion-y as prior versions. This shoe is reminiscent of everything I loved about my old Glycerins. My heel moves a little in these, but I found that lacing the shoes using a lace lock method was an easy fix. My only complaint is that the shoelaces are a little short, but I suppose that's better than too long. All in all, these are a great shoe!

I've been wearing the Asics Gel Kayano for several years since I broke my foot and ankle and needed a shoe with both support and cushion. I thought there was nothing better than the Kayano so was somewhat of a shoe snob. I tried the Nimbus 17 just to see what it felt like because Runner's World gave it such high reviews with the Editor's Choice Award in their summer shoe guide. I couldn't believe the cushion and support! I am in love! So much so that I ordered a second pair in a different color. I have the deep blue with hot pink and just ordered the Lightning (pale gray) with hot pink and purple. These are like walking on a cushion with every step. I highly recommend these shoes. I need a lot of room in the toe box and these provide that. I do still love the Kayano and have two new pairs but these are just as wonderful. They are the Cadillac of running shoes. They are plush and cushioned, lightweight and flexible. Can't say enough good things about this shoe!
