I've worn Asics for years and this pair has highly disappointed me. In less than 6 months the material has worn out above my big toe on both shoes. For the amount of money I spend on Asics, I expect them to last longer than 6 months.

Not like last year's Asics. Unfortunately, this is the 5th pair I have tried (only one from Zappos, 4 from another source), and every one of them has an issue. This one has a hard bulb-type thing on the right outside ankle that cuts in on your ankle (a first for me). Others of this shoe (same size and style and color) break wrong across the toe box and hurt.

I haven't gotten a pair of Nimbuses since the 2013 model, which I enjoyed in the blue and white combination. Every update since then has gotten less attractive in my opinion. I can't sacrifice style for function so I had to go with a different brand. Here's hoping that Asics will look to other companies for color and design inspiration in the future. These are so busy with all of the stripes and odd color combos. Somehow the neutral runners end up with most limited/worst color combinations and styles. I have seen this happen with other brands also. If only I pronated more. Asics, please go back to the drawing board with the Nimbus line.

I have worn the Asics Gel-Nimbus model for years, but with this new pair, I think I need to switch brands. As one other reviewer said, the place where the toe creases is very, very uncomfortable. Three miles into my run last night in my new shoes, my toes felt like they had a metal bar pressing across them. Sure enough, these shoes drew blood. (I think it is all the loose interior fabric where the tongue meets the toe box - in my other pairs of the Gel-Nimbus, this seam is more finished.) I even have another pair of Asics Gel-Nimbus 17s (from Amazon) and those fit fine, so I am perplexed. Thank goodness Zappos has a generous return policy!

I was disappointed. The toe box is very narrow and was uncomfortable for even a fast mile walk. I went up another half size and then it was too long. I also did not find that there was very much support in the shoes, my feet were tired fast. Overall a marshmallow feel with no support and very tight toes. Brooks Glycerine is a far better fit and more substantial shoe even though they are lighter.

These do not seem true to size, and I am going to return them. Perhaps I'll order the next size larger. I have long, skinny feet, and these seem a bit snug in width, and uncomfortably snug in the toe box. The last pair of ASICS I purchased was a half size larger, and it did not work because they are a too long and too wide in the heel. I kept them, but they are not good walking shoes for me. Even with athletic socks, and tied tightly, they are so loose, I get cramps walking for any distance. Still looking for the right pair.

Love the feel and look of these! Unfortunately the back sole of both shoes around the bubble is completely falling apart after like a month of having them (and not wearing them every day). Such a bummer because I love these!

I've worn the Asics Gel Nimbus for the past 5 years. It's always fit my foot perfectly and been a great long-lasting shoe. This year they must have redesigned the overall fit. The toe bed is significantly tighter than the previous and I feel like my toes are being squished together. This does not feel particularly good for long runs. I am trying to wear them looser to see if that helps, but I don't think it's working very well. I can't say anything about wear-ability of the shoe since I haven't had it very long but the fabric covers the entire shoe and seems cheaply made.

This show is a reminder of why brick and mortar stores are still important. I bought these in 8.5 because that's what size I wear in every show I own- including the other 3 pair of gel nimbus. I have a couple pair of the 13s, a pair each of the 14 and 15. These were TIGHT. So I went up to the 9, no difference. I know it's not my foot because 1) I've recently lost weight and 2) there is no change in how my other sneaks feel with wear. Having to go through a 2 day turn around to try to find the right size is too much- who knows which size will fit! If a company is going to change the sizing of a shoe that much, it should come with a chart to help you get the right size. As it stands, I'm 2 months out from a race with no shoes and no time to get them. I don't have the capital to buy several pair and return the rest. Asics- you guys suck!!!

Very cushy, but no support--they caused foot cramps that extended up the leg. I have to return these.

Terrible cheap quality - so disappointed! The fabric inside the shoe near the top of the laces is so thick that it makes the shoe unwearable. I love my aspics trainers!

I have bought Asics shoes in the past and always liked them but these are the worst gym shoes I have ever bought. I walk a lot and in these shoes the balls of my feet hurt I won't buy a pair of Asics shoes again

Shoes were received obviously already worn, dirty, rocks on the sole and already broken into... not happy with this purchase.

These are in the box for return. I've been wearing the Nimbus Gel-15 and love them. The 17 has a smaller toe box and immediately felt tight when I put them on, now have to look for a new style. A real disappointment. I usually wear an 8 2A and expect that a medium will be too wide in the heel.

I have been a loyal customer of the Gel-Nimbus for years but something is off with this current model. I wore these just a couple of times and got a black, painful toe from bumping against the front of the shoe. This is the same size that I have always worn so something has changed. I am really bummed as I spent quite a bit of money on shoes that I can no longer wear.

I agree with others that these are narrower and shorter than the Gel Nimbus 16. I was surprised after having worn the Gel Nimubus for years, that the new 17 was tight and uncomfortable. Gel Nimbus is a great shoe but not the new 17.

I loved Asics Nimbus until this pair. The toe box is really small and I ordered a Wide! If people order wide, then they should be wide. Returning and going with a different brand which gives my little piggies room to move. The white/hot apple and coral are so pretty but no way would my feet be able to move in them.

These shoes are totally uncomfortable. I wear a 7 1/2 in all shoes and these definitely felt too small. Also the toe box is so small that my toes felt squished. I'm going to purchase the Asics Kayanos instead. I've tried them on and they're very comfortable. I would not recommend the Nimbus.

Loved the cushioning in this shoe, but the wide width was still tight. The heel was too narrow, also, something I've never encountered before in any athletic show.
