So I just received the Nimbus 17s in the gray, pink, and purple; wild colors throw me off so I thought these would match with a lot. I ordered these because I have bad knees and need the extra support and cushion. They are true to size but I took the advice of other reviews and ordered a half size up. I'm a solid 8 1/2 but ordered a 9 because these will be work out shoes and I have a full thumbs width extra. If you just want them for walking or standing then maybe just order your regular size. I'm more of a walker than runner because of my knee so I'm hoping to get back into some running, and exercise classes with the nimbus 17s. I feel like I'm walking on a little cloud. :)

I've always purchased running shoes whose main function was to help with overpronation. After recovering from some surgeries I can't run the distances I used to but wanted to get back out there and cushioning is now a priority. If cushioning is important to you, these shoes are great. Wearing them is like walking or running on pillows. I'm using them for 3-ish mile runs. I've only had them for a few weeks so I can't comment on how long the cushioning lasts but so far I have only rave reviews. My joints are thanking me!

Ran and walked 10 miles in these shoes 3 days in a row. Very comfortable shoes! I have owned Asics Nimbus shoes since Nimbus 10 and these are my all time favorite! Love them! Will order another pair soon. Cushioned bottom, supported arch, wide, but not too wide, toe box.

I love these shoes! They offer great support and fit perfectly. I wear a size 12 M and can't find them in stores.

Asics are the only shoe I wear and these are fantastic! I have a high arch and this show has great support. I've worn these twice for cardio strength classes and I've had no problems with "break-in"! Very cushioned so they run a little small. I wear either an 8 or 8 1/2 - these are an 8 1/2 & no slippage!

These shoes are a perfect fit for my size 11.5 2A feet. Outstanding cushioning reduces heel impact. It's the closest I've come to walking on air.

After the terrible disappointment of the Nimbus 16s (poor craftsmanship, terrible support, and little to no cushioning), the 17s were a very welcomed, and solid upgrade. With poor planning on my behalf, it was between running a half marathon on my well loved and ready to retire 15's or my new nimbus 17s. I chose the risky option of the new 17s and thankfully, these shoes were a dream. No blisters, no rubbing, beautiful support and excellent cushion for the whole run. The lightweight mesh top is new to the Nimbus and a welcomed change. although I had some reservations about the change at first, the shoes are better able to mold and adapt to your foot. Several long races and countless training runs later, they are still holding up beautifully. the original colour selection was a little sad, but it seems that ASICS has stepped up the fun and it might be time to order pair number 2!

I walk 2 miles every morning. Due to 2 foot surgeries, my shoes need to have a good arch, cradle my heel, be slightly wider across the ball of my foot and be good shock absorbers. These shoes are perfect. They are like walking on little clouds. This is my 5th pair of Asics and these are by far the best. I always get 1/2 size larger when buying Asics!

Asics GEL-Nimbus 17 comes in wide sizes for a super fit. Many color options available. I love these sneakers. My workouts including running rowing and weights are better with these shoes.

Got the shoes in 2 days. Wonderful support and overall comfort. Would rather buy shoes from Zappos than 'down the street'...it's a winner everything time.

Standing on my feet for over 12 hours a day means that my shoes have to provide support and comfort. Nimbus 17 does both. I absolutely love these shoes! From the first time I put them on they have felt like walking on air. Do not ever change these Asics! As always Zappos made ordering a breeze with top notch customer service. I love you, Zappos.

I am a long time Asics lover. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Running and walking, it's like walking on a cloud. Love the cushioning and so do my joints. And they are super cute...the coral shoe with turquoise accents. Received several compliments already. You will not regret this purchase.

I absolutely love these shoes! I have worn the Nimbus for years, loved the 15, and the 16 was a total nightmare. I am so happy that they brought back the great cushioning of the 15. I had fractured sesamoids years ago and still have to baby them a bit, and these shoes are a dream. I was initially concerned when the 17 arrived because I was not sure if the breathable fabric was going to hold up, but it has. No toes through the end, not even an indentation! And the fact that there are not all these different pieces sewn together on the shoe makes it lighter and cleaner looking. I am so happy that they offer the shoes in a narrow, and I love the toe box style as well narrow enough to keep my foot in place without being confining. A win-win for me. I just hope that they keep the same attributes for the Nimbus 18!

I was skeptical about paying the price for this new model, as I have been very happy with the older models. These are by far the most comfortable, sturdy, and solid Asics I have ever worn. No breaking in necessary....they felt great on my first 6-miler wearing them right out of the box. Wide toe box, very thick cushion. My favorite Asics model ever.

This pair was a gift for my wife. I am on my third pair/generation of Gel-Nimbus and love them. She loves these too as an ER nurse at a huge level 1 trauma hospital. She says "no more shin splints now." She wants me to buy her another pair for actual running now.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for many years. The Nimbus 17 seems to run small. I needed exchange for 1/2 size larger. Love the shoe though!

I love these shoes. I had gotten the Kayano 21s because they were cheaper, but they hurt the top of my foot. I returned the Gel-Nimbus and am so happy. As an extended size (13 women's), these are the only running shoes that I have found that are the perfect fit.

The service is UNBELIEVABLE! I ordered the running shoes one morning and the shoes were here the next day! The added bonus was the shoes are perfect!

The most comfortable shoes I have. I have the cumulus that I use to run in but the Nimbus is so much more comfortable. The gel makes it easy to be on your feet all day and not have pain. I loved the black color and didn't notice the little wavy design on the top of the shoe before ordering. It's a nice little touch to the shoe.

The shoes are VERY comfortable. I am a teacher and must stand for many hours each day and these shoes make that much easier for me. I wish they had a little higher arch support but other than that they are awesome!

I ordered 2 other styles, and though they fit, these were by far the most comfortable. Feels like I'm walking on air! My feet are long, narrow and have little padding. These shoes are the best I have ever found. The only disappointment is there is only one color choice for a narrow width.

Im starting to wear these more and more and they are cushiony. I need more colors presented. I want more! Love the fit and style as well. they don't have a high heal , which I LOVE and need. I have more than enough feet pain..but these are helping me ALOT. Thanks Nimbus....bring out more colors. Like a real red with light grey and white! Very good arch support...NOT really excellent...but more than moderate for me but there was no rating and very good.
