Hi..these shoes are pure cushion. I have had several surgeries on both feet, and 3 surgeries on ankle. I have a hard time Not "turning out" as my ankle is fused it causes me to turn out as I walk. These shoes minimize my turn out, limits a lot of my pain I also have high arches, which also makes one supinate. This shoe keeps my outer foot from being soar. I am a young 57. :) So, the colors are a little cuh-ray zee but I go for the comfort. I never leave comments, but for all the pain I have had, and all the searching for a good shoe to fall into. I thought maybe this would help a sister out!

Happy Feet, Finally! For those who loved, and missed the Nimbus 15 -- its back. I just got my first pair of Nimbus 17's, and they feel great right out of the box. I wear a size 11.5 B, and have had no luck trying to find another shoe that fit me as well as the Nimbus 15. The same cushion, and support of the 15's that went missing in the 16's, is back in this iteration of the Nimbus style. My only disappointment is in the choice of colors -- hence my giving it 4/5 for style. I plan to stock up on the Nimbus 17's, just in case Asics decides to 'improve' it again.

These are a disappointment. Cheap fabric on the top of the toe box, narrow toe box compared to the Gel-Nimbus 16, and shorter in length. Definite decrease in quality by Asics.

This is my third pair of Nimbus. As always it is like walking on a cloud - which is great for my back. However this pair has a strange fit. It is much to wide in the heel. And there is a obvious folding of the shoe when you walk. Maybe I will exchange these for another pair. I wish there was a blue pair as they are neither too crazy nor white and prone to getting dirty. I would like to have two different styles since I wear them every day to work.

Toe box is not full enough, and there is mesh rather than solid material in the toe area...I figured my toes would pop through the top of the shoes in about a week. Returned.

These were recommended for high arches and they're definitely better than most in that area. The nice surprise is how gently they caress the whole foot. I'm almost unconscious that my fussy feet are wearing shoes. I can go farther, faster, and longer with much less discomfort after being on my feet for long periods.

I have to agree with the other reviewers - this version of Nimbus is very narrow. I ordered the wide and my toes were completely numb after wearing them around the house for 5 minutes. I wear Asics because of the wide toe box but these miss the mark.

After reading many reviews on these as well as talking to local running shops, I decided to go out on a limb and buy these instead of a new pair of Brooks. Like other reviewers, I have foot pain and need a cushy, yet supportive shoe. I put these on and immediately they felt good and there's been no break-in period. Athletic shoes are my everyday shoe wear, so I choose carefully. I am a traditional size 7 in regular shoes and an 8 most athletic wear; based on the reviews I bought an 8.5 in these to allow for perhaps wearing thicker socks and didn't want to find out too late that my toes were rubbing at the toe. I am thankful that this style doesn't have the two "swoopie" bands that go right across my pinkie toe because these have caused toe/bunion pain there in the past with other Asics I've worn. I've seen complaints about the colors also but since shoes don't last forever, I've learned to be okay with a color I can live with. I bought the blue/orange because I'm a huge OKC Thunder fan -- I've already had compliments from like minded fans. Bottom line, they're cushy & comfortable; maybe go up a half size so the toe box will be more comfortable.

Just bought these last week, so this is based on 1 week of ownership. These sneakers are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever had. I've owned Saucony's and Brooke's, and these so far are the best. I would recommend them. Also, I purchased the "wides" based on previous reviews and am happy I did, even though it limits the styles you can select.

I have been increasing my distance running (training and just plain determination) and decided to make the switch back to Asics when I saw this shoe. I am happy that I did. While I have a history of busting my big toe through the toe boxes in other shoes, this is not the case here. The seamless design is great, and the gel cushioning is phenomenal. If you run distance, order a half size larger and don't tie the shoes tightly. I only wish there was more colors to choose...variations of white get dirty and are boring. I have the blue/pink and they are really nice. Overall, if these continue to hold up, I will be buying another pair soon.

Great looking sneaker. I really like the color (which is a good match to the picture). For me, the size ran small and I ordered the next half size up.

I love Asics Gel-Nimbus. Fit and feel is terrific. I went to Roadrunner for a precise shoe finder test and it picked Asics Gel-Nimbus 18 for me. I asked what the difference was between 17 and 18 and was told "not much." I knew I could get the 17s cheaper on Zappos, so that's what I did. I am middle aged, overweight female that walks 3-5 miles daily. I measure 8-1/2, but buy the 9s for extra toe room.

I just started running again and needed new shoes. I only run about 25 minutes, and I'm mostly on concrete with some dirt in there. This shoe perfectly fits my narrow feet with fairly high arches. It also provides comfortable cushion, with a nice amount of support. I normally wear an 8 1/2 but got a 9, and that fits well.

These shoes are good to help me deal with my plantar fasciitis. I have tried so many nursing shoes but these are the most effective. When your feet are aching the whole body is affected but thanks to these shoes my pain is going away.

Very comfortable with good support. I love the cushioned sole and heel area. I usually wear a size 9 in most shoes and ordered a 9 1/2 and they were perfect. After walking for a year in a pair that I didn't like at all, these are a dream.

Usually don't write reviews but this is the most comfortable running shoe ever. It makes all my other shoes feel horrible!

Great running shoe. I currently have a pair that I have worn for almost a year. The arch and heel cushioning are fantastic! I was looking for another model 17 (from last year) as it is not easy to find a fun color in a wide shoe. I also got it at a savings over the new model that just came out. Shipping was fast and free.

Best running shoes ever. I have a duck foot wide ball and narrow heel. These fit perfectly right out of the box. Just got a 9 and it didn't have to be a wide. I already had a pair for almost a year and bought another. Love the color combo too!

I love these shoes. Great support and yet so squishy. Going to get some more just like it!

These shoes are so awesome! I work on concrete floors and these are keeping my feet from hurting. I wish I would've found them 10 pair shoes ago.

I have been wearing nimbus for at least 5 years now. I run/walk 3-6 miles 5-6days weekly. I am 57 years old and I have no knee, ankle or hip problems. I tell everyone that it is all about the shoes I wear -- Asics Nimbus!
