Purchased the Women's Saturday Trail Pants in the Grill (Grey) color in a 10 Short. I am 5'1", about 140-145 lbs and have a 27" inseam typically. When the pants arrived I tried them on and loved how lightweight they were. The material is very smooth and comfortable, although it feels on the thin side. As one reviewer stated, the pants are so comfy and light that she sleeps in them like pajamas. They fit close to the body around the waist, but the material falls loosely about mid-thigh and around the knees. These are stretchy and I know I will be wearing long johns underneath because of the thin material, so I will be exchanging them for an 8 Short. Overall, a nice pair of pants for all kinds of outdoor activities!

The fit is excellent, but some of the stitching was off and it created gaps in one of the pockets. This made the flit sloppy and unflattering.

I have another pair of Columbia pants that are size 12 & very comfortable. These I could not even come close to snapping the snap. Missed by about 3 inches. Might have been fine but I decided to keep the Sketchers Go Walk pants I ordered instead.

the fit is tighter

I bought these pants several years ago in 6 Long and loved them; I wanted to get a couple of extra pants. They were fantastic and fit well. Thankfully, I still have them to compare. However, the way these fit has changed; the rise is too small, and so is the waist. The length and fit across the legs were acceptable, but I can't zip them up. I am very disappointed.

I was looking forward to these, but have to return them. They fit well, except....well, the rise is such that it is really snug around my pubic area. I'm not sure the polite way to say that. Also, the India Ink is a slate gray with an olive green undertone.

The pants are more of a slim fit and are too tight across the thighs. I will have to return them.

Very comfy and I like the style, but the sizing seems WAY off. I always wear a 10, and couldn't even zip them if I tried. Wayyy too small. I'd like to try sizing up, but was disappointed that the sizing seemed so off.

I usually wear size 6 in zip off leg style, but these were too small.

These pants seem really well constructed. I like that you can make them into capris and when you have them long, you can't tell they have ties - they are well hidden. I bought 2 pair - black & navy. It does seem that the left leg of both pairs is shorter that the right leg. If I recall, they are supposed to be 32" which should be plenty long for me. I also went up one size because I thought I could wear leggings or something under them for a layer in the winter. They did not fit like they were a size 8. I am 5' 7" and normally wear a size 6. I went up to size 8. The waist is really tight and there is absolutely NO STRETCH in the waist. Who makes pants that don't have any stretch in the waist - elastic or otherwise? If they are too large, at least they have belt loops.

These pants are well made, looks like they will do the job, but no matter what size I get the do not fit even tall too short waisted and ride up uncomfortably in the back and front crotch. I usually wear a 6 sometimes tall depending on the inseam, but sized up and still didn't fit!

The sizing is off on these. My entire adult life I've been between a 10 and a 12. One is a little snug, the other is a little loose but both are doable. I ordered a 10's because I'm on the lower end of my weight fluctuations and I had pair of Saturday Trail zip offs that were a 10. I could barley get them over my hips and they were about 8 inches away from being able to snap them. So I ordered both 12's and 14's next go round. The 12's fit but we're snug. I wore them to dinner and came home with a mark on the inside of my thighs from the inside seems. Just fyi, I'm tall with very long skinny legs. The 14's were looser so I wore those to a festival. By the time I came home they were falling off me. So basically there is a not a size I can wear. I really wanted to like these but all the other colors/sizes that I haven't worn are going back. Wish I could return the ones I woresigh.

Too short again. Come on Columbia, there are a lot of tall athletic women out there!!

I just bought these, I am 5'5", and normally wear a 10, and normally wear a 10 in Colombia. These pants fit small, but I thought they would stretch a little, which given the name stretch pants, I would have expected to fit. I would size up, they do not stretch, and sits below the waist, but in an awkward way.

Love the pants, love the fit. My issue is that the pockets are not deep enough to securely put my phone in the pocket (and I do not have a very large phone). Why aren't the pockets deeper? The Saturday Trail II Knee Pant are the perfect depth (and even another half inch would be good). Unfortunately, I have to return them due to this design flaw.

I was excited tot ry on but the hips are in the way,such beautiful fabric,but just to tight ,legs are great waist is ok but in between sizes right now,will try again when I am at goal!!

I know Columbia pants run small. I usually wear size 8 so I ordered size 10 & 12. I sent back the size 12

I loved the material of these hiking pants. They are not swishy or noisey. However I normally wear a 12 and they were very tight.

I bought my normal size 6 and it runs small. I will order a size 8.

I'm a 6 in most pants, occasionally an 8. Ordered these in an 8 and they were WAY too small. I don't even know if a 10 would fit.

The rise (crotch to waistband) is short, even in the tall size I ordered. This makes the waist measurement too small for the size, and the crotch uncomfortable.

I ended up ordering three different sizes and returning all three. I'm 5'3" and 108 lb and wear pants in size 2 short. I ordered sizes 2, 4, 6 short. The size 6 waist was the same as the size 2 S pants that I own from Columbia but hip was bigger. The color Indigo blue was pretty and the design is as always, attractive. I own many pants from Columbia and LOVE them all so I'm sad that I can't add this pair to my collection.

I'm between 2 sizes (0 and 2). The rise is short, so the 0 was too tight. The 2 was too big all around. The color was more gray and less blue than I was expecting. I had to send them back.

I ordered a size 4 and it ran small. All of my other Columbia pants are size 4.

The inconsistency of sizing is awful with this brand. I purchase a new pair every year to add to my work wardrobe. The stretchability changes, the waistband has ZERO stretch and in previous order I wore a size smaller and still fit in them. It is a snug fit on the waistband, w/o any give. Please go back to other style waistband that has some give to it.
