I love the perfect pants and these are not the same fit. Same length but snug compared to the same size in the perfect fit pants.

Had to order a size up from the 14...and I normally wear a 12 in street clothes. hoping the next size up works, as I love the convertible aspect of the pants, esp being 5'3"

I like tkat psir of pants. They're nice, comfortable and sexy but they could be longer. I'm 5'10, I bought long and I thing tkat one inch more could make them better.

I am 5'11" and my pants are never long enough. The long size 10 fit me well and are much cooler than wearing jeans in the outdoors. Loving them so far!

It is perfect for Summer hikes, as it is light weight and will keep you cool. But I would not suggest wearing for hiking in cooler days.

I love Saturday Trail pants! They are very comfortable and flattering. I also own a few pair of Saturday Trail II knee pants, including plaid shorts. I used to buy them in size 2, but after reading other reviews I ordered these stretch pants in size 4 and they fit well. Great for outdoor activity as well as travel.

I bought two different pants for a particular purpose so I could choose between. I chose the other because I liked the fit better. These seem to be very good quality though.

The fabric is cool and comfortable. I'm 5'1" and have the regular length to wear with hiking shoes and the short length is perfect with sandals. My only problem is that the solid pair I just received is definitely smaller than the black & grey camp pair I already had.

I bought these pants for travel wear and will probably use them at home this fall as well. They may replace my jeans. I like the fit and function, I only wish they had a little more heft to the fabric. they are a bit too light weight to drape well. Once our trip is over, I may decide that this works to an advantage.

I do love these pants. I'm 5'2" 123lbs, slim in the hips and the 4 Short fits perfectly.
My only recommendation for change is that the pocket on the right thigh is relatively useless for me. It's too small and shaped oddly. You have to unzip (love that it has a zipper rather than velcro!) and then try to face your fingers toward the back of your leg to grasp whatever you've managed to fit into the pocket. Awkward! If it has to be small at least face it forward to the front of the leg. That's the way your arm reaches best, yes?
Thanks for continuing to make great garments!

These are great hiking pants. I love that Columbia makes them in long sizes. They did well in the heat on a 4 hour long hike this weekend. At the end I was able to fold up the legs and secure them to soak my feet in the river at the base of the mountain.

I ordered these for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I'm in love with the pants and the quality, however they RUN SMALL. I usually wear a 2 or 4Long, so I ordered a 4L. The length is perfect but I can't even button them. Columbia did not have my size in a color I wanted but searched online for me and found them from another website! So happy with the customer service! Thanks Scott

I normally wear a size 8-10 in pants but in order for these pants to fit around the waist I had to order a size 14. Other then sizing these pants are great. They are light weight, comfortable, and styled well.

I normally wear a size 10 long but after reading the reviews ordered a size 12 and glad I did. Overall fit is good although the waist is a bit large. Luckily there are belt loops to ameliorate that. Otherwise, the fit is good and flattering with a below the waist fit. The long length is perfect. I am about 5'11" and so appreciate a pant that doesn't look like they shrunk in the wash.

I bought these for an 11-day trapse through Peru. They were GREAT for hiking, I never once rolled them though since they did not roll up too high on my 5'3" frame. It was fine because they were cool even when the sun came out. I wore them for a few days straight and they did not smell too badly either! They got wet when it rained, but dried very quickly. Overall a great hiking/travelling pant!

I have a very difficult time finding pants to fit my very curvy and petite body (5'3'', 38" hips, 26" waist) but these pants are simply excellent. They are incredibly stretchy, light, breathable, comfortable, soft and hug my waist. I can bend and move and climb and hike without the dreaded "waist gap" but have plenty of room in my hips and thighs. They fit flatteringly and smoothly by themselves, but I can still fit a base layer underneath to keep warm during cool weather.
I don't agree with the reviewers who say the pants run small-- they're true to size for me. I think that it's more likely that these pants are better suited to curvy builds with large waist-to-hip ratios.
4 stars because these pants do snag easily and can pill up. I've had them for about 10 months and they're still very wearable, but they definitely don't look as nice as before. Also, they're not as water-resistant as I would have hoped. But I love these things and own 2 pairs.

Nice quality material and nice style. I like the straight legs. I have a small waist with fuller hips. A size 8 fit my waist perfectly but were tight in the hips. The size 10 fit my hips nicely but left a large gap at my waist. Since these are hiking pants, I am willing to wear them with a loose top.

Extremely comfortable, keeps you mobile and unrestricted. Lightweight and my favorite kind of fabric for keeping at the zoo or backpacking.
Runs small, as I read before purchase, which made me nervous. I wear around 4-6 depending on brand. Ordered an 8 and they fit perfect. Never had to order that size before, so make sure you order one size up at least. Also knew I would prefer slightly loose over tight.
Pant legs in photo seem skinnier than they are, but not really an issue.
The snaps to turn pant into Capri are not a "give me just a sec" design and you have to finagle with them for a minute.
Overall, great pant. I would get the same pair again.

I purchased 3 pair of this exact style pant last year in Fossil, Grill and Black. In fashion clothing, I usually wear a a size 4. In these Columbia pants, I had to go up one size to a 6. I liked them so much that I ordered another pair this year in the Cypress color in a size 6, as before. Unfortunately, the cut is a bit different than last year and they were uncomfortably snug, but not enough so to size up, as I decided that the size 8 would be way too big on me. That being said, these are great pants. I wore them on an expedition-style cruise in the British Isles last May that involved open sea Zodiac transfers and was very pleased with the comfort and performance.

I love the product however this the very first time I had to wear a belt with any pants. I like to wear it but I have to keep on pulling it up. I am a plus size usually and I was happy to fit in the 16 and a lot more give and also short fits me perfectly. However the material at the inner thigh is starting to pill. Wish you can improve the material where most people would be brushing against a lot like the knees and the inner thigh. I would also prefer a deeper pocket.

These pants are great! Very versatile - can be dressed up or down, worn cropped or full length. Only drawback is even the short are a little long. I'm 5'1 and 125 lb size 6 fit great but need to roll them even when not wearing them cropped. Can't wait to get out in them.

I was really pleased to be able to order the pants in a long size since I am 5' 10" and slim. The fit is ok, though a little big around the waist. The problem with the otherwise good pants is the design of the front pockets. They are not deep enough. You can't put anything in them because of fear of it falling out. The tops of the pockets also stick up and out when you sit down -- not very attractive. Too bad they couldn't make them deeper and more useable.

I love the Columbia Saturday Trail pants. Great fabric, great gusset. But, the sizing is not reliable. I have a size 2 which fits great and a size 4 which also fits. However I have ahd had to return two size 4s which are too big. So if you are between sizes, order both!

Love the fabric, right amount of stretch, can go from trek to evening. Cut and styling great. Flexibility of leg roll up great. BUT though there are 5 pockets, they are all too small to be functional. Can't fit iPhone in largest pocket, so sadly, going to return.

I like these pants for their comfort and fit. I'm tall and thin and have a hard time finding pants that fit me well.
I would recommend these pants and would purchase another pair.
