These pants are great for traveling because they are lightweight and don't take up much space in my luggage. Also they are easy to wash and dry quickly. Great for traveling. I bought two pants size 10 but one fits smaller than the other. The sizing is not consistent. This has happened to me with other Columbia pants.

I typically wear a size 8 pant. I went to a 10S to get the right fit in this pant, until recently when they apparently redesigned the fit. After trial/error and sending a couple pairs back I ordered a 12S. This fits well except that, as a 12, the legs are a little wider than the 10 and I prefer them narrower so that they look like a true straight leg. Also with the 12 they are a little longer---still ok but the length hits my feet differently and causes the zipper pocket on the pant leg to bulge from time to time. I used to be able to wear these for versatile occasions but will now restrict them to active wear purposes. They are a nice weight, comfortably soft, and any wrinkles easily disappear once they are put on.

Great light weight, water proof hiking pants that roll up to capris. Nice fit in legs, runs slightly small in waist.

I guess I did not pay enough attention to other reviews and I have ordered my true size but they do run small and they were not as comfortable. The style however is good! Also, I ordered the Grill color and the color is lighter than what they look like in the picture.

Order 1 size larger than normal - the pant sizing is small. Regular length pant is short. "Long" is closer to a 32" inseam than the 34.5" that is advertised.

Like these pants a lot - They always look good, no wrinkles, tough and comfy. 4 stars because the short is a bit too short and the long is too long. Usually wear size 8, ordered 10 and they fit perfectly.

The pants are very comfortable and have UV protection. Like that you can roll them up. Disappoint that the waist did not stretch.

I love these pants. I previously bought a pair in black and had to go one size up from what I normally wear with Columbia (size 4 to size 6). They do run small. I recently just bought another pair, size 6, in the Cypress color and the waist is much smaller than the black ones in the same size. So I have returned them.

Nice pants, already hiked in them. Only thing I'd change is the length. Shorter than other Columbia pants in regular length. I'm 5' 5" with long arms & legs. Not unusual that sleeves are too short, and pants, also. Another 2 inches long & they'd be perfect!

Although I have several pairs of Columbia hiking pants, they no longer had the exact style, so I chose this one. The design and fabric were very nice, but they ran small enough that I had to return them.

These pants are incredibly comfortable. They are great for hiking and travel. I do get warm in them so only for use during cooler weather. They roll up a little but not enough to make much of a difference. They only negative is that it would be great if they had a bigger or more zip pockets. There is only one and it barely fits a small cellphone or a passport.

I wear a 16 and when I first got these they were a bit snug, but they have some stretch in them so by mid-day it was fine. I loved that the tabs to shorten them to capris was very discreet and not bulky like so many can be. Stayed perfectly cool in VA humidity, but just warm enough when evening came and it had cooled down. Love that these look sleek enough they could pass for work trousers, then roll them up as you head out and you could hike in them! Already ordered a second pair.

Bought these for fishing trip, they fit great, and very comfortable for hiking or fishing. I usually buy a size up in Columbia pants because I am curvy, and they fit as expected.

loved so much about these pants, but ultimately returning, because of the camel-toe vibe (the seam is not tight, it's just the way that it's stitched, that it adds attention to that area)

I bought these in hopes that they would be a good hiking pant, with the option to also be worn casually while traveling. They are perfect for this. I am typically a size 6 and I found that I wear a 6 in these as well, though they are snug (8 was too big all around though). I was able to fit a pair of leggings under them for extra chilly days - but like I said - it gets pretty snug at the waist. I ended up ordering a second pair for more color variety. I'm 5'5 & 128 lbs

Love these pants as they are very light...pack well when traveling and covert to capris...wash and wear...would recommend purchasing more then one pair while sizes are available...I'm a size 6 in their capris but size 8 in their pants.

I was expecting the pants to be black for some reason but they came in this grayish blue color which I have to say, I love! I ordered the long pant and thank goodness because they were just right (I'm 5'9") the regular length definitely would have been too short. Love these pants!

Columbia is one of the few companies that sell tall hiking pants for women. I have several pants from here and I love them. However, I am 5'9 and these hit just above the ankle. I have tried stretching them out, but still too short. I feel like these need to be at least a 1/4 inch longer for all of us tall hikers. Otherwise, great quality and color.

I used my measurements to choose a size to order (based on the size chart provided) and wound up with a 10. As it turns out, that was actually two sizes too big. I returned the 10 to try an 8, and the 8 was still too big. Also, I ordered the short length and it is considerably too long (I am 5'1"). Sizing frustration aside, these pants are comfortable. The material is lightweight and the pockets are extremely convenient.

Even with legs rolled up they seemed too hot for a warm tropical vacation climate. The material was soft and didn't bunch or bind with any movements, yet it seemed to cling a little close to the skin, and not breathe well. I am 5'8", 145# and the 10 was a good fit. (Size 12 was too big, yet still felt close and hot.) I really liked the nice way the capri roll-up snap was tucked away and hidden, so the pants looked like regular pants when they were rolled down full length.

I love these pants! Very comfortable and lightweight. Good for hiking or backpacking in cool but not cold weather. They are breathable and fit very well.

I bought these pants, because I bought the same pair a year ago and absolutely loved them. I ordered the same size. While my old pants fit fine, these fit tight! Same pants, same size; what gives? I still think they are awesome and well worth the investment, but you may want to consider sizing up.

These are great pants. The material is thin enough that you can wear them in the hot summers on the west coast. My only concern is that the waist is very small. I went up from my usual size and everything else was slightly baggy (which is what I wanted) but the waist is still tight. I don't care much for the roll up style just because the rolled part never stays looking neat. It always looks messy and hanging off the strap if you are actively moving around. However, the straps that snap on the outside were easy enough to cut off. I'm keeping them even with the smaller waist because its really hard to find nice pants in this material that are long.
