Great fit with the exception of the zipper that turns the pants into shorts. The zipper was slightly smaller than the fabric part above and below and didn't give at all. Unfortunately I had to return these because the zipper didn't allow me to bend my legs comfortably.

The quality of the pant is excellent! It fit great through the hips and all the way down the leg except for the zipper. The only tight part of the pant was where the converter zipper is, it squeezed my legs so tight it hurt, I could hardly bend my knee let alone sit down in them. Will be returning and ordering some without the zipper!

The fit was weird and the zippers in the legs were cutting my circulation when I tried to sit, I will return them.

I wanted to LOVE these pants but the zipper for the convertible shorts is so tight it cuts into my thighs making it difficult to hike, climb, even sit - completely defeating the purpose. I love the material and features but they're just not cut for thighs as others have said.

As others have stated, the zippers are too tight. If they just fix this flaw I would give it a 5. The pants are great if you are hiking or standing, but driving to the trails or sitting is sooooo painful. I have lots of zip off pants from other companies and this has never happened.

I took these pants on the AT for 5 days and was not comfortable most of the time because the shorts/zipper was way too tight. If I was not standing straight I was being constricted at that area, so squatting was impossible. The waistband was perfect, the color wasn't too bad, they kept the flies away, dried pretty fast, and zipping the pant sections on and off was really easy. It sucks they were rendered useless because of the poor sizing construction.

They run a tiny bit smaller than the regular Saturday Trail pants, in my experience. If you have a short inseam, these pants will be useless as shorts, unless you like the below the knee length that only looks right when they've ridden up when you sit down. It's like they only shortened the zip-off section and forgot that's not how body proportions work. Not terribly flattering as board shorts either. I didn't have the problem with tight leg zippers on my fat thighs that other reviewers mentioned, but I do have the habit of hiking them up a little when I sit, so maybe that's why. The deep blue is a gorgeous color, and I wish I could get the blue version without the zip-offs.

While the overall fit was as expected, it was too tight at the thigh where the zipper is so I will be returning them.

It's not that the zipper itself is bad, it's just 2 sizes tighter than the pants. I have been able to get other pants from here with no problem, but the Zipper on these makes it impossible to fit in them. People don't magically become skinny right above the knee.

They are actually quite nice looking and comfortable when standing but when you sit, the zipper area on the legs squeezes into the leg. It looks terrible and is uncomfortable. I returned mine.

Having read the previous reviews suggesting to size up, I ordered size 22 although my normal pant size is 20. They were too big. I returned the pants and decided not to re-order. The shorts were too long when detached from the lower legs, and with the zipper in there you can't just hem them up. I also was not crazy about the fabric (the color I got was Fossil), and I ended up with the feeling that pants with a zipper halfway down the legs just aren't that comfortable, for me.

Perfect fit + flattering cut aside from one tragic flaw: the short/pant convertible zipper runs much smaller than the fabric of the pant. I found this not only uncomfortable but actually painful when I tried sitting down in them. Such a shame these will have to be returned.

Bought a size up knowing the thigh zippers always run small. Standing the pants fit fine, plenty of room around the thigh zippers, but as soon as I squat down circulation is cut off.

The zippers are way too tight. At least 2" smaller than the adjacent fabric. Extremely uncomfortable. The fit was good otherwise.

They fit great from the wait to the zip off zipper... and from the zip off zipper down... but the zipper at the thigh is too small... meaning when you sit down it cuts of your circulation... I am very sad but I am going to have to return them... I'm afraid if I went up a size the top part would be too big.

I was so excited to get these pants. Then was disappointed. Of course I had already left for my trip when I found out that the pants were large in the waist but very narrow at the knee where the zipper is located.

So the sizing on this turned out to be a little big, but what I was most surprised at is that the fabric on this is really thin. While that may be great for hiking in the desert, I still want something that is sturdier. Also, they way these are designed, I found these extremely unflattering. While this is just my experience, these are definitely a pair I wish I had the opportunity to try on or see in a store first. This was in part due to that the pockets were made out of a mesh material and the zip off portion was in a weird spot on my thigh.
