I can't speak to longevity but the shoe was surprisingly comfortable on the first try, compared to other leather shoes of its quality. Very comfortable to wear, stylish and great quality.

I have the black and brown version of this shoe and wear them alternately. I think it is one of the best shoes you can buy for the money and am on my second pair of each. The soles wore down a little quicker for me because of my supinated feet

Great shoe, can be worn with a suit, or jeans. Very comfortable upon initial wear and molds comfortably to your feet. This is about the 10th pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes I have purchased and will continue to do so! They last, unlike other brands I have had in the past.

I've only had these for about a month so I can't speak to longevity yet but I can speak for the comfort and look. I wear dress shoes daily and am often up and about a lot. The comfort is great whether I'm standing or walking. It only took about 3 or 4 days for the leather to soften up and get more broken in and they get bette each time I wear the. They look great with Jeans, Casual dress pants, and Kakhis.

The Conard Cap Toe is very comfortable and looks great. The composition sole looks and wears like leather.

I wear these shoes in a business setting and they are as comfortable at the end of the day as at the start. They look much nicer than the run of the mill black wingtips.

These fit well out of the box. I have 5 pair of J&M dress shoes including a pair of the Italian ones and I like the conard perhaps the best for fit, comfort and appearance. They are leather sole so I don't know if they are comfortable for everyone over long active days but for events and formal wear, I prefer them. I can stand comfortably in them for an hour at a time and they are very attractive and well done. I plan to get another pair soon in a different style / color.

This shoe can be paired with a sports coat and casual slacks or nice pair of dress jeans. Looks great wearing to dinner or social occasion or a day at the office. Just can't go wrong with this shoe, unless you try to pair it with a suit.

I wear this as my go-to brown dress shoe. I just bought my second pair because I loved the first pair so much. I've never done that with a shoe before. These are very durable as well. If you're new to JM I would recommend going one size down with any of their shoes as they tend to run a size big. I normally wear a 14 so being able to get away with a 13 is a nice plus.

Started using it the same day I bought it. Went very well with both formal and casual wear. Timeless design adds a charm. The Cognac color makes it easy to stand out while not being too bright. Great balance of utility and style. Unlike others, didnt find any issue in felling comfortable immediately and didn't 'bite' or needed break in.

Wore these shoes for a wedding on Saturday then to work on Monday. No break in needed, super comfortable and versatile. Love the whole Conard line.

I love Johnston & Murphy shoes. The Conrad Cap Toe is super stylish and very comfortable. It did not need much breaking in. It's stylish enough for my business dress job or dressing down to go to dinner.

Only took a couple days to break in and doesn't seem to be wearing down any time soon. Highly recommend.
