I had bought this same shoe for my son about 3 years ago. I was surprised that the shoe no longer listed genuine leather on the tongue and the heal did not look as rich as the previous pair.

Second pair of Conard Cap Toe shoes I have. They're comfortable on the first wear, they're functional, and look great.

My son already had this very shoe....for about 8 years! He finally had worn them out. He loved them that much! When I found out he was wearing them with a hole in the bottom, I knew what to get him for his birthday! He LOVES them and was so happy. He never asks for anything, and it was a pleasure to get these shoes for him, my son and a 5th grade teacher! :hearts::blush:
