I read a lot of reviews about getting a size larger, DON'T!!! I put regular socks on originally and I thought at first that it was a good thing I got a size bigger. Then when I actually went to put them on to use I was wearing my thick warm wool socks and as I walked around my heel started slipping up and down. So finally I spoke with my mom who has the exact same pair and she said she wears her regular shoe size even with the thick socks. I had to return and reorder.....

Great boots but a bit stiff and feels slightly small on a first wear, but might strech.

These are definitely a full size smaller - go one whole size up. I wear an 8½ and the 9½ fit perfectly. I have never, ever worn a 9½!

This was a gift for my wife. I used the sizing charts from other shoe brands and it was off. The size it recommended was to small. She had to go a half size up. Other than that she loves the boots!

Loved the style look, and that I got them in black. They were a heavier boot. I had to return them only because they were pushing down really hard on my toe bed.

This really is a full size smaller than one would expect. I was hoping to swap out this boot for my very similar but without the faux fur last pair, but no dice. But otherwise, I would expect that these boots would make winter walking/trekking a joy, like my last pair.

It does run at least a size small. I am a 9 and ordered the 10 and it fits great!

Had a pair of these boots for years I ordered another pair and was sad when they were so small. I will return and get the next size

They are very comfortable. I have not yet worn them in the snow, but I have worn them to break them in and they seem like they will be very warm in the snow.

These boots are really cute and warm. Maybe a even bit too warm. The insulation is so thick that you would need to order one full size bigger.

I wear an 8.5, and sized up a full size based on reviews. These were just too big. Going up a half a size would have been better. These boots are lined with thick, insulating padding. They are a heavy duty boot, and in the black, a little too masculine for me. However, for practical use in lots of snow and cold weather, they are a solid choice.

These are very warm boots. However, they run small, I ordered a size 9 which is usually a big size for me to begin with. Had to give them to my daughter--These run small. I ordered a size 10 and honestly I could have gone with a size 10.5 while I am wearing them as is, I have to keep the laces loose. Also, they are stiff to wear, if you ever have worn a ski boot, where there is no bend around your ankle and upward, then you will know how these feel. I need to keep wearing them so that they break in and become softer. These will last a lifetime for sure and they are water proof and are warm! Just order at least a size up if not a size and a half up!

Cute boots but...run small (I normally take 7 - 7-1/2). Too small and tight at toes/upper. Would be great for snow tubing / Winter snow activities. Comfort - just okay. Not very flexible - stiff sole. Warm and keep feet dry.

If I ever need to climb a snowy mountain, I will get this boot! Very insulated but the sole is super stiff and there is no arch support. Like the other reviewers note, this show runs a size to a size and a half small because of the insulation. Very well made, but not the boot I have been searching for!

These boots are made for someone that needs extreme warmth! Unfortunately, I will return these because they are too much for what I need. They are rather hard to walk in because they aren't that flexible. I sized half a size up and I would recommend doing that due to the padding inside. They made my feet feel 3 sizes bigger.

These boots keep my feet warm on chilly hikes and they are definitely waterproof. It is so nice! NOTE: The boots are well insulated, which makes them run small. I ordered two sizes up from my normal size because they were too tight otherwise (wearing thin socks).

Very bulky boot, but warm and great for snow/muddy conditions. Ordered a size bigger but could've probably fine size and a half.

Sorry to say this great looking boot has a design glitch for me. The padding was great, so they would probably be super warm, but I needed to order a full size up because it was tight. However with the next size up I found that my toes were pushed forward somehow, even though I had space behind the heel. Found the same with a different North Face Chilkat model that I tried on in a local store. Glad it works for some people.

As promised from my previous review I found my true size is a 7 in this boot (when worn with thick wool socks). These boots are extremely warm, and heavy duty. I don't think they would be comfortable enough to use as an everyday snow boot in the city. That said if you need a serious pair of boots to dig your car out with and can change into something more comfortable once you hit car then these are your boots. I would compare these boots to Sorel Caribou in terms of comfort and maneuverability. In the end I returned them again because I didn't like the lack of maneuverability, and that even with a size 7 I had no room for a toe warmers, that said I am still here wondering if that was a mistake. I would recommend these boots if you have a 2nd pair of everyday snow boots or if you live in Alaska where warm toes are your top priority.
I'd also recommend:

these boots are very comfortable and have lots of cushion inside. Really warm and they look great. Make sure you go up one full size, they run small.

I really wanted to like these boots but I am pretty positive they run a full size smaller. Normally I wear a size 5 or 5 1/2 in shoes but I usually get my winter boots in a size 6 so I can wear thick socks and still have a little room. I could barely get my feet in this with very thin socks. I was shocked I checked the size and the box twice to make sure they didn't send me a kids size 2 by accident. Sadly I had to send them back. As a reference point Sorel Joan of arctic size 6 is too big and too wide on my foot and the size 5 1/2 is still to wide. I will try a full size bigger in this boot and update later since at least with these the width wasn't a problem.

These are definitely on the clunky side but they seem like they would be really warm. I recommend going a full size up--they look roomy but there isn't a lot of room on the inside of the boot. The tongue gusset goes almost all the way to the top--it stops just below the top lacing thingie. I ended up sending these back because they didn't fit my feet well, but if you are looking for a snow boot--get these.

I really, really wanted these boots to work. Of the many pairs I ordered (thanks Zappos), these appeared to be the best constructed for some serious snow/ wet time. I'm normally a size 7.5/8 and ordered the 8s. Too small in the length. I ordered 9 and while the left foot fits well, the right still feels like the old 8. I compared the boots in length and didn't find an obvious discrepancy, but they just don't fit. Sadly, they are being returned and the hunt continues.
