Warm and comfortable women's boots. Toes just starting to get cold after 5 hours straight of watching kids outside skiing and hockey practice in single digit temps (just standing in the snow). Unfortunately I sized up a full size based on reviews- boots are definitely snug at first but pack out a bit after a few wears. Now a little loose for more active winter wear (snowshoeing etc). Consider regular size or 1/2 size up if you actually use your gear.

The size is very true and it's been good until now for the past 3 weeks. Scaled a star down for the reduced cover above

Got this for my wife for when we go snowshoeing. Works great. Good fit and her feet stayed dry and warm. Great price Too. Wish they had more colors though.

So warm yet heavy. These really for hiking in the snow. They run small. I recommend a whole size larger. They are so cute, but people notice that they are large boots. I think they look like clown shoes, BUT my feet are warm and dry!

Excellent purchase . Not great for walking long distances as they are heavy and bulky but very warm if you need to be in the snow. I'd advise wearing long socks due to tags and scratchy areas inside boots but with tall socks they're fine. Feet stayed dry and warm.

I haven't had the chance to use them yet, but walking around in them to make sure they fit feels great. These boots are so cute my mom got the same pair too but I'm a different color. I'm usually a size 9 to 9.5 so I got a 10 and it's a great size.

I usually wear 7 and I got a 7.5 after reading reviews. The 7.5 fit snug on my feet. They are more on the narrow side. My feet are more on the wide side so, they fit again, snug. Which I believe will be good bc they won't wobble on my feet when walking specially on deep snow like my older pair of Columbia used to, which would end up causing discomfort after walking for a while. I could've gone with size 8 but I suspect they would be wobbly like my older Columbias. I am also short 5'1" and I didn't want my feet looking huge like size 8 would probably cause.
They have pretty good insulation and I don't believe you'll need thick socks. I haven't worn them in snow yet but I am confident they will keep my normally cold feet warm and tosty.
I like that you can lace up half way and leave the top loose which looks cute when wearing pants tucked in the boots.
I looked at several other said "snow" boots in person and online but they don't have good grips like these do. Maybe it is too early into the year to find more better options?? Anyways, I hope they will really work for me.

Warm, seem well constructed, good grip on sole. I have narrow feet so have to cinch them down pretty tight and they still a little loose, despite being a good length (that's the only reason they get a 4 instead of 5 for me). They're certainly heavy duty, but not too insanely bulky to wear around town. Looking forward to testing their warmth in Fairbanks this winter!

Returned these for a smaller pair, this pair was a full size larger than my usual size.

Just purchased these boots for an upcoming trip to Yellowstone in December 2021. The boots are comfortable, have not had the chance to try them in the cold weather yet. Will follow up after December trip. Purchased them one half size up.

I love these boots so much! Great grip, warm, and cute. Only giving 4 stars because one of my lace hooks broke off

These are extremely warm and much easier to walk in than my Sorel's. There is a small area in the back that rubs on the back of my calf but I think it's because I have one calf that is bigger than the other. I am very happy with this purchase.

These were a close second to the boots I decided to keep. They felt a bit more bulky than what I eventually decided on. Quality boot, just a bit heavy for everyday use.

I think these look great in person, and have a really cute style, but it felt like wearing rubbery ski boots. If I needed a winter boot for walking around in snow all day these might be good - but they just felt so stiff and bulky for what I need. I ended up going for a more casual-style Sorel winter boot.
I'd also recommend:

These boots hug your feet and keep them warm. They are worth the money, don't pay attention to negative reviews. People will complain about anything.

Bought these at Cabelas 2014 in my home state of CO at a great sale price $60 or so. We started snowshoeing that winter and having been a snowboarder/ skier for years I knew what I needed to keep my feet warm and dry in mounds of snow for hours on end in the backcountry. These are excellent for that purpose. The heel nubs help keep my snowshoes in place and the lace style ensures I can adjust them to my comfort level. Not comfortable to drive in, as the angle on the ankle does slant forward. I only lace them halfway up and wear loose if I'm putzing around town in a snowstorm. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is the forward tilt, its kind of annoying on a regular basis, perfectly fine for extreme outdoor and weather events. I would buy these again (especially for the price I paid), but I don't think these will wear out very fast at all. I expect at least another 10 years if not much longer, they are extremely well made. I wear them every time it snows, I don't see the need to buy another pair of snow boots. They are certainly bulky if you are looking to just look cute- these will keep your feet warm and dry, but you won't be making the fashion statement of the year.

I ordered this in anticipation of a Nov. trip to Montana, and a March '18 trip to Alaska. I am a Texan who hates the cold, especially wet cold feet. I am a big fan of Northface products so I was thrilled to find these boots w 400g insulation ! The order, along with a pair by Columbia, came within 2 days. I normally wear an 8 but ordered a 8.5 after reading the reviews. The boots are THICKLY padded with insulation., such that I can barely get my feet in wearing a pair of light REI wool hiking socks. They are indeed WARM but I feel like I was wearing 2 canoes. The boots will no doubt keep my feet warm and dry, but the weight and bulk made walking unpleasant. I decided to return them. Thank you Zappos for easy return.

Great boot for winter. Nice and warm. Had to exchange for a half size bigger. I normally wear a 7 and they were difficult to get my foot into. As always Zappos was great in helping me get the right fit!

Big and clunky but super warm. Ive worn these shoveling 3 times in heavy snow and they have remained water proof. I was hoping to use these for snowshoeing but they may be too bulky- but they are great for kicking around in the winter and staying warm!
