I started school in the fall and needed a reliable bag that would, more than anything, keep my laptop secure and dry. I was a bit concerned after reading some reviews, because people said it wasn't entirely water proof. But I pulled the trigger anyway because I got such a good deal on it at the time. Since buying the bag I've commuted to school and work several times in HEAVY rain, and everything inside the bag was perfectly dry. On top of that, it's a stylish bag. I also noticed some reviewers concerned that the bag doesn't have enough pockets. I think that's more of a personal preference thing and not necessarily a con; for me, I like that the interior is largely open and let's me decide how to pack it.

I use the bag to hold cycling kit & helmet, then turn around to put back in clothes with laptop, full book and notebook. Only issues are lack of secondary divider inside on opposite side of the laptop to help secure things from flying around knocking into it.

Great pack! Use it for everything: vacation, going to the beach, gym bag, hiking, festivals. It also holds more things than I originally thought it would. I was not disappointed with this purchase. I recommend this bag if you are looking for a multi purpose pack.

I was in the market for a new backpack that I could use to carry small amounts of groceries while riding my bike, as well as use it for long weekend trips. I settled on the Rogue because of its style and dimensions. I am a small female and it fits my needs perfectly. The pockets aren't plentiful, but they are useful in their placement and storage capacity. The straps are a little closer-together than I would normally prefer, but once you load up the bag you get used to it and the padding in the actual straps makes them comfortable. It hasn't withstood any rain yet, but seems like it wouldn't get terribly soaked because of the coating on the fabric. I can fit a yoga mat in the pack if it is placed diagonally; it sticks out the top a bit, but that doesn't bother me! Overall: great purchase, happy with size, can't wait to take it on my trip this weekend!

I stick my Yoga Pro 2 ultrabook into it, throw the bag over my shoulders and get on my motorcycle with confidence, even in a little bit of rain.

Made in America! It's obvious that a lot of practical experience and design were incorporated into the Rogue. It's the perfect companion for the person of the world. The person that travels by various methods, and needs access to equipment, books, etc. I purchased a Timbuk2 product for my son three years ago, and quickly recognized a quality product. Now, it my traveling companion, and easily the last back pack I'll ever need for the road. I ride a Harley, and it's now part of the my regular riding gear, not to forget airtravel, hiking, etc. It's carries a ton, and is the companion that allows attachments to be carried along.

I wanted a bag that would serve as a work briefcase and a light pack for weekend adventure. This bag fit the bill really well. Bottle opener makes a good spot to hang a work badge, if I ever need to justify it to my boss!

The bag safely holds my laptop and is large enough to stow an extra change of clothes, it is comfortable when I am biking or running, and it is easy on the eyes. Highly recommend this product.

Great backpack. The internal pocket is large and the top flap actually allows it to hold more. Weatherproof and durable, an extremely well made pack

I spent a lot of time looking for a backpack to complement my messenger bag and use around town and on the road when I needed to carry more than usual. I eventually settled on this bag, which suites me perfectly. The primary compartment is extremely roomy - I can pack books, files, and my laptop, and still have room to stuff a jacket or any other necessaries. The waterbottle pocket is large enough for my oversized bottle, and there are an adequate number of internal pockets (I'd like a few more, but I believe there can never be enough pockets!). The straps fit comfortably and distribute the weight nicely. Overloading the backpack can cause it to hang a bit lower than desired, but not in an uncomfortable manner. Overall, the bag meets all of my needs and expectations. Another winner from Timbuk2!

I use this bag for everything since receiving it. I do a lot of different things for work and this backpack really makes it easy to do them all. I also ride my bike everywhere and not only is this bag super comfy on my shoulders while riding, it is hard to weigh down and I love that I can attach my u-lock to the outside of the bag making more room for books and all my other junk inside. I find there is enough room for my laptop, personal items, yoga clothes, a day's food, a couple of books and some art supplies (plus my water bottle in the side pocket). I dig this bag so hard.

This is a solid bag that I dedicate to school use, it fits everything I need comfortably. One large pocket, so if you like organization I'd go a different route, but I don't. If I put my laptop outside the laptop pocket, I can fit it (17.3"), which is fine. If I don't pack it well, it is very obvious due to the stiff back of the bag, which makes poor distribution obvious. The bag can also sit uncomfortably sometimes because the shoulder straps are a little too small for my shoulders, but thats very dependent on the person. Overall, got this bag half off and I LOVE it for school. It gets compliments on the time on its looks + how tough it looks, which it is.

I live on the Oregon coast and I do not have a car. I walk. Everywhere. In all weather. So I needed a backpack that was truly waterproof, comfortable, roomy and well made. I had spent $100 on another brand and, while it was waterproof and roomy it was a royal pain and ugly. So I did my homework and went cyber shopping. That's when I found Timbuk2. I bought the Rogue Laptop Backpack. It is EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. Even the water bottle holder is on the right side for me and it is so easy to swing it off one shoulder, grab the bottle and get a drink in midstride and put it all back. Carries everything I need and is truly waterproof. While it was designed for S.F. bicycle commuters with all their bad weather, here, where I live, we can get normal S.F. January total monthly rainfall in ONE DAY. This pack is waterproof! The price is quite reasonable and it has a lifetime guarantee. The only think it doesn't do, as far as I can tell, is rock me to sleep and tell me a bedtime story. Hmmm. Maybe if they added a voice chip...

This is my 5th Timbuk2 bag and the first Timbuk2 backpack. This backpack is a bit smaller than I was expected, but this makes it even better for urban usage. Very slim and comfortable. It's winter in Hong Kong now which is cold and dry, so don't have a chance to test the breathability of the meshed pack panel and the level of weatherproof. The build quality is as high as my previous messengers, but it doesn't have a TPU liner. One little complaint is the lack of key lanyard compare to my classic messenger. Overall this is a great backpack, feel lucky to get one during the big sale.

I use it daly, caring my camera and several lenses. It's light but very rugged, protects my items from water and dust. I like implemtation MOLLE system so I can attach adcional pouches and accessories such as med kit and tool kit. I like the slik looks of this backpack wich has utility features as military equipment but dosen't look like one.
