Currently finishing up my last year of college in Portland, OR and man this backpack is situated for this city and its weather. It performs well when you over load because of it's amazing straps that are actually pretty strong. I tend to always carry my laptop around where ever I go and this backpack makes easy for you to store and keep your laptop safe. It is very spacious inside. I usually put books in it but I have also been able to fit a 12 pack in there and it was very comfortable to carry around. This backpack has great support.

I use this for my daily bus commute to and from work and bought it because I wanted something practical but also relatively professional/classic looking. This backpack is lightweight but sturdy and comfortable to wear. I like that it's relatively narrow so that I'm not in everyone's way on the bus. Easily fits a change of clothes and toiletries for work plus my lunch. It would be perfect if it had one more zippered pocket but that's a minor concern. I'm a 5'8", athletically built woman and it's the perfect size for me. I've only had it about a month so can't comment om the durability but I absolutely love it so far.

This bag saved my back. I was using a (Timbuk2) laptop messenger bag to carry all my stuff and had back pain. Switching styles helped tremendously. Awesome bag, too.

I can do anything/go anywhere with the Rogue backpack. It sufficiently held everything I needed for a four-day trip and acted as my only personal item on a flight. It sufficiently holds everything I need for a day commuting across town (via car or bike). On a typical day, I carry a laptop and charger, books, a lunch, and it still has room for other items as I need them. I got caught in the rain on my way to the metro yesterday and trusted that my books and laptop would be kept safe and dry. While the pack is roomy, I've found that there are considerably fewer smaller compartments than other backpacks I've seen. However, for me, this has been a blessing in disguise, requiring that I take only what I need instead of storing things in small pockets that I'll later forget about, unknowingly carrying their weight everywhere I go. Additionally, at moments, I have found the straps to be somewhat uncomfortable on my neck, but haven't worn the backpack for a long enough duration to find this to be a problem. After weeks of searching for the ideal backpack, I have found it (and at an irresistible price). I have complete confidence that this backpack will last a long while!

The molle straps make up for the lack of pockets. It's not obvious from the pictures but the molle straps on the very back have a very wide opening so you could cram something large in there without actually needing to have molle stuff to attach it. The roll-top can be attached with the velcro from rolling it up, or you can clip it in and it gets velcroed as well. Sometimes I notice the flap isn't covering the top opening. I think this is me forgetting to make sure the top of the backpack walls are folding inwards. The laptop pouch is great and has a velcro strap. Prior backpacks I've worn with a laptop pouch had no padding on the bottom, so dropping the laptop in the pouch would make it slam on the ground. Dropping the backpack was even worse. This backpack doesn't have this problem. The laptop pouch in the Rogue isn't separate from the rest of the backpack area, so keep that in mind when putting in wet things that might spill. Strangely, it has a bottle opener on the right strap. Overall I really like it. I sought out a backpack that would hold a small laptop (it can do much larger), was lightweight for biking, and would survive raining pacific northwest weather. It really fit this bill. I haven't had it outside in crazy rainy weather yet, but so far so good.

I use this primarily for travel and love it! I am short and it's not too large on me, but it still fits all I need and more. My only issue is when I am going through security there are a lot of straps, clips and velcro to get through in order to take my laptop out and put it back in.

I bought this bag for my life partner for our anniversary and she absolutely loves it!!!! She had another bag which was bulky and heavy. She rides to work so it's perfect for all her stuff.. It fits her laptop, gym clothes , extra pair of shoes and still has tons of space... It's an amazing bag. I ride to work as well and I got the mini messenger which I love but when I went to work with her bag , I was sold!!!!!! It is so light, sleek and has loads of space... I am gonna get one for our upcoming trip.. She loves it and I absolutely love it.. great bag!!!!

I use this backpack every day and have traveled with it twice since I got it last February. It is very comfortable and quite stylish. However, it only have few internal pockets compared to the messenger bags. Making use of at least half the front panel area (compared to about a quarter) would've make this bag even more practical without sacrificing aesthetics. A waist strap could've also been a good choice as an add-on since it can be a little wobbly when pedaling.

Disclaimer: This is a personal opinion I wanted a: 1) large, one compartment bag - check! and 2) light, foldable/flat bag when empty - check! Everything else is a bonus. This bag packs a bunch. It can hold more than you think. Beach towels, Shoes, lunch, laptop etc. Before I bough it, I proved to myself that this was it by literally putting my ex-bag into it and there was still room. This is a great day pack if you are for example backpacking in the world. The rogue will easily fit in your 60-75L backpack. When the time comes to explore, leave your main bag at the hotel/hostel and take your rogue for the day.

My urban musician kids love this backpack! It is deep enough to fit books and computer but not bulky. Very comfortable fit for walks. They think it has a good coolness factor for being around town. They use it between trip walking, skating to school or to the conservatory for music. They also take it on light camping trips and weekend stay overs. The material selections were even better in person (raphite and burgundy colors). Definitely great items!

I'll say just buy it before you read this review, but if you don't trust me, then please read away! I just got this bag to replace a backpack I've had for roughly 9 years. I was looking for a roll top style and although this bag is not a true roll top bag it does what i need it to. The build quality is decent, it has a waterproof/life rubber coating on the main front, and bottom panels. The buckles feel sturdy enough as well as the straps. The straps are made strong and they are attached to a beefy strap material (do not know what its called but its rugged and much stronger than any standard bag. The buckles are the main tie down for the top flap with a velcro part as well under the flap. Inside the main compartment, there is a zipper pocket which can store a phone wallet etc, and also 3 pen spots, and 3 pockets enough for things such as headphones or a 3x8x.65" calculator (TI-30XIIS). Overall the main compartment can store a stack of books about 8 inches stacked, and yes there is a mesh pocket for a laptop. The smaller pocket near the bottom of the bag is water resistant as the zipper is not waterproof, but then again this is not a waterproof bag. The laptop pocket is raised. Meaning that it does not sit at the bottom of the bag in case you happen to drop it, its about 2-3 inches above the bottom of the bag. :) The sternum strap is removable via a button snap. Just buy it already. If you'd like a video review let me know if my review was helpful and I'll record one :)

I use this product for school. A few notebook, laptop and lunch box fits easily. It looks good exactly as what is shown on the website. I find the shape a little odd. The bag is tall. When you keep the bag straight up, the weight tends to be on the back edge of the bag rather than being distributed everywhere at the bottom. Otherwise the bag is great looks good, strong and weatherproof.

it's a great backpack- versatile and simple. one large pocket with a padded laptop slot on the inside plus a nice inside pocket. It's not missing much other than the key tether which is on the messenger bags. However, if you're using this pack for light commuting and biking- it's fantastic and is not an issue if you aren't continually in need of access to it while doing other activities. all around well constructed bag. it is also relatively weather resistant- it won't handle being drenched but it made it through a few light showers.

I use this bag for business travel, switching over from a large messenger. I can manage up to a 3 day business trip with careful wardrobe planning and packing. I travel light and simple. My typical pack has: * Clothes for meetings * Workout clothes with running shoes * Toiletries * 13" Mac-Air * iPad Mini * Power cables and cords * 5x8" notebook Everything fits perfectly. I would still have room for a larger Mac if desired. The pack is shaped squarely so you can get optimal packing arrangement. The square shape and size also forces the pack to fit under the seat in front of you (on at least a 737 or larger) so you don't have to rush for overhead bin space. I often find that I can slip between larger bags in the overhead bin as well. Running shoes are the killer. Shoes are always the killer. This pack has sturdy military style loops on the outside. I use a D ring to clip my shoes to the outside. Again it all still fits under the seat in front of me. The downside is there are relatively few pockets. I like this because the interior space isn't wasted on interior organizers. You may not. I pack any small stuff I can't fit in the provided pockets in a small stuff sack to keep things together in the main compartment. I also miss the key clip from my messenger. I'm paranoid about losing my keys. The other bad thing is this pack lays flat on your back and can make you a little sweaty as a result. You can always hang it from one shoulder occasionally to cool off. All in all for the money this is an outstanding and well designed pack. I feel it's durable and would stand up to weather reasonably well. Very pleased!

My husband uses this backpack for his work commute and loves it. It's weatherproof and has an internal pocket designed to hold and protect a laptop computer. It's much more spacious than it looks and is slim and sleek in design, so he doesn't have to worry about bumping into people in the subway. Very impressed with this product.

Great back for my teen daughter. The quilted dark red color & texture is better than expected! She feels that all her books actually fit inside due to its depth. The amount of pockets are perfect, not overkill. My son now wants one in black. Very pleased!

I absolutely love this bag. I am a full time student that commutes by train in the Pacific Northwest (it rains a lot). I can fit a couple books, my lunch, and other essentials all comfortably and I think it's super cute, especially for the price. I have been stuck walking home in the rain and none of my things in my bag were wet! Super comfortable too! The only thing I wish this bag had was another outside side pocket to put my umbrella in, just having the one is great for my water bottle but two would make this the perfect bag. I also prefer a bag that doesn't have a lot of internal pockets as I tend to stuff things in pockets and forget about them, so the ones available in this bag suit me perfect.
