Bag spec is perfect for my needs (school)
And my height and weight. 6'1" 188lb.
Could still use one or more pockets. One outside, one inside.

Such a good bag! Its more of a rucksack versus a backpack!

I have more backpacks than I should, but I bought another one anyway; the Rouge. What a great buy! Very very comfortable and it holds more 'stuff' than you would guess. I like that I can still look over my shoulder with it on while I'm riding; something that I cannot easily do with my other packs.

I waited far too long to buy a backpack. This one is just the right mix of hip and professional to use daily for work. It's light, comfortable, and incredibly roomy. I regularly tote a 15" laptop and/or large iPad, along with chargers, various work files, pens, pads, my voluminous lunch, the assorted items any other person would have in a purse, and extra layers (mountain weather) -- it all fits and rides comfortably. The water bottle pocket is icing on the cake. I'm going through some growing pains with fewer pockets and less easy access compared to my deluxe messenger bag, but the process has helped me to streamline and save some mass and volume in what I'm lugging around every day. Sorry, beloved messenger bag, this is my new work bag.

First purchase from Timbuk2. I wanted something that served as a bagpack when I hike, travel bag for my weekend trips and daily laptop bag. Haven't tried using for hiking and traveling, but can tell you loving the daily use so far! The bag is so sturdy, waterproof, spacious and extremely comfortable on my shoulders. Some bags hurt my shoulders and I am so happy Timbuk2 isn't one of them. Bought the bag in a sale, was apprehensive if I didn't like it. Totally loved it, ordered for my spouse too last night. We are takers here!

This backpack is durable with many pockets. I'm always on the go so it's great to have something reliable and with a bottle opener!

I can be extremely critical, so I don't shy away from being brutally honest; it's one of my greatest strengths and weaknesses. When I received an email today to review my new backpack, I couldn't resist jumping on and sharing my thoughts. I've had this bag a little over a week and a half, and I'm absolutely in love. I love the small/medium size of the backpack, and I LOVE how comfortable it is. If you're looking for a small work backpack that's stylish/hip and extremely comfortable this backpack is the way to go. I would 100% recommend TIMBUK2. Quality is incredibly. Shipping was quick. Shoot, I'm ready to be an ambassador for this company and try out more of their merch!

I love it! Looks great and is functional. Just the right amount of pockets. Was comparing it to the Spire. Glad I got this one. It's pretty big. The spire would have been way too big! Could easily fit lunch, laptop, sneakers and a book with room to spare!

I've used this product all over Central America and it's held up like a champ. In the mountains, the cities, torrential rains, beating sun, everything. I took it out every day this summer in all of the conditions listed above and it's held up so good. It's super comfortable and light on my shoulders, the sternum strap is a nice touch, and it's breathable so it doesn't leave nasty sweat marks like other backpacks in 85% humidity. The laptop sleeve is great cause it doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the bag, so if you accidentally set your bag down too hard you don't have to worry about the laptop. I have an old laptop so the breathable laptop pouch is actually very helpful. I'm able to carry books, phone charger pack, pens, journal, Rain jacket, camera, wet wipes, flash light, and snacks in here with no problems. And when I switch from adventure mode to school mode, I'm able to carry my laptop, books, chargers, and all that jazz with no problems. Great bag. And completely waterproof. It's been through a bunch of tropical rain storms and not even a drop of water got in. Also is great for traveling. Fits perfectly under the seat in front when you're on a plane, and the flap makes it so convinent for pulling out your laptop for the security line and getting things out during the flight.
My only complaint is that the water bottle pocket is small and short, so I had to put a wristband on my water bottle to get it to stay in. Also the was a little wear on the inside from where the water bottle and books were rubbing against each other but no biggie.

What can I say? This is my second purchase. My first BP I gave to my son for school, starting HS. He loved the bag, as I was out of work on injury. I started back to work and asked him if he'd like the same bag in black. He was all for it so I ordered it express delivery so I could my old Olive green color back. I love this style of bag and been through many. For the everyday Metro commuter or weekend getaway carry all bag, this is all me!
Did I mention it's also waterproof?

This bag is the perfect size for all of my stuff. I'm a student designer so I have to have space for my laptop, sketchbooks, textbooks and utensils and this bag totally delivers. It even has enough space for little things like hand sanitizer, lotion, my school wallet, tissues and my headphones. I especially like the easy open top because it allows me to grab exactly what I need from my bag.

The bag is well made and looks as website describes. I wish they had a little something bigger with the same style. Nonetheless, the bag is quality and everything I expected. It is priced right and very comfortable.

I use the Rouge everyday for everything! It is the perfect size for carrying around all day everyday and is very comfortable, my favorite part is that I can be riding out in the pouring rain and all my stuff inside stays dry, that is especially good being that this is a laptop backpack!

This is the best commuter pack I've ever owned. I love that my U-lock can attach through the loops on the side panel and not take up space inside. I use the opposite side pocket for storing a flat-repair kit, so the weight balances out. The inner compartment is roomy enough for typical commute items -- a change of clothes and lunch, and more if you pack a little tighter. I'll note that when this bag is packed full, there's a hard insert right along the spine (which lets the back keep its upright shape) which presses/rubs against your spine while you're bent over in a riding position. Again, it's only an issue while the bag is full and you're on a bike ... pack slightly less, and riding is no problem. Bothers me occasionally, but not enough to deduct a star. The other thing to note is there's no key attachment ... you're left to toss them in the back zippered pocket, which is fine, but leaves you searching through other items you've thrown in there instead of having a fixed, easy point of access ... mildly annoying. Overall quality is great; I've ridden through rain without problems and love the general style.

I bought this backpack to replace a timbuk2 messenger bag I used for 18 years. I wanted to try something different. So far the backpack works well for me. It seems to hold as much as a medium sized messenger bag but seems somehow more compact. Adequate laptop protection, given that youre putting a computer into a backpack - theres foam padding, and the pocket keeps the laptop from going to the bottom of the bag. I wish there were even more pockets. I would like a pocket on the inside big enough for sunglasses- perhaps with an anti squish function.

This bag has been with me since the beginning of 2014 and as we're approaching 2018 there is still no daily bag that I reach for as much as my Rogue. I am a fast-moving frequent flier with little time to fuss and make my bag fit just right. The Rogue has been ideal for stuff-and-go practices (it's deceptively roomy), long flights, headed to the firing range or just a jaunt on my bike. With a couple of quick tugs and snaps, the bag is ready to roll.
The fabric has been SO TOUGH--I have beaten the crud out of this bag and it shows virtually no signs of wear. The water bottle pouch is awesome, laptop sleeve is great and the accompanying pockets are just right. The velcro has begun to wear out a bit, but that's to be expected...thankfully the designers popped those awesome buckles on the front.
For the price, functionality and durability of this bag there is no other choice in it's class. I've owned five bags from Timbuk2 from various collections and this is the best backpack I've ever used.

Really like this backpack- it holds surprisingly a lot, and the design for the top/closure is flexible to accommodate how much you've got in there. Color is also great in person (better than in pics) and hard to get dirty - have gotten compliments on how it looks! Cons- wish there were more organizing pockets on the exterior, and also wish there were potential cup holders on either side of the backpack (one side is just blank/unused - also would be nice to switch up which side I hold my water bottle so I'm not always unevenly sloping to right).

I was given this bag two years ago for college and a study abroad trip. It is sturdy and stylish, but after wearing a medium load for 5+ hours, the straps will become uncomfortable. That's kind of to be expected, but full disclosure. The quality of the material is apparent though. I still use it on a regular basis.
