Purchased this for my wife back in June 2016 (this review is July 2017), she uses this mat three times a day seven days a week and it still feels and looks like new. She told me it's not like other mats she has had, where she normally slips and slides all over the place, when trying to hold a pose, with this one she stays put. This might be a bit weird, but she also says it doesn't smell. This is the first product I had purchased from Manduka and have just ordered some other goods, will right a review in about a years time on these other products, as I like to see them go through there paces.

I am so glad I made this investment. Being 5'10", I now have the freedom to stretch out properly and make proper poses. The thickness is really outstanding. I also got an extra-towel until the slippiness wears out. I love my mat.

I bought the mat as a gift to my fiance and he loves it just as much as a I love my Mandukamat! He is very tall so the extra long mat is great. The surface gives great support no matter how sweaty the class is. The perfect mat!

I've had the black mat for a month now. I have used it indoors and out. Great for either.

I had a shorter Black Mat PRO for 5 years. It had perfect grip and never aged a day. I decided to get the longer version to increase my mat space and I don't regret it! It has all the longevity and grip of my first mat, but there is more of it. I recommend the Black Mat PRO to everyone who is in the market for a lifetime mat. You won't regret it.

I bought this mat a year ago. This is my 9th year doing yoga. I'm still a beginner, but at 71, I enjoy the flexibility and relaxation I get from yoga.

Even though it was a bit slippery when bought, I couldn't be happier. I finally found a mat that is the perfect length for me, and after two months of daily use, it has more or less broken in.

Bought in Christmas, extra long to allow me plenty of room to stretch. Heavy in weight but it provides good stability to hold all the poses. Great investment if you practice yoga regularly.

Had the mat for a few months now and it feels great. Like the extra length as I tend to move about a bit!

I use this mat mainly for my home practice and I couldn't live without. Amazing grip, sweat proof and excellent shock resistance. Personally, I find it too heavy and big to take to yoga classes, therefore I use my Manduka Pro Lite.

My new Black Sage Mandela Pro is so very comfortable and slip free. The extra padding is highly recommended for a more high impact yoga like Buti Yoga, which I practice for the aerobic benefit. So definitely worth the money!! I LOVE it!!

I wish all yoga mats were this long. I bought it for my husband, who's 6'5. I've snuck in a few practices on it and deeply enjoy the extra length - I'm 5'10. I am still rocking my ProLite - I know we'll have both mats forever.

This is everything I ever wanted from a mat. It is non-slipery, and sticks to the floor perfectly. I'm using it for yoga, but also for other activities such as kettlebel training or high intensity workout. Even when you jump back and forth on it, it doesn't move at all. It took me a long time to buy it, because of the price, but now I can say that it's worth every penny. It's also very easy to clean with a wet cloth. I would definitely recommend it!

The Manduka Black Mat Pro is by far the best mat I have ever had. I feel lucky to have discovered it early in my Ashtanga Yoga practice. I love the stability (it never slips), and I really appreciate the thickness and cushioning it provides.

I don't use it heavily sadly because I don't have the space to really enjoy it in my home, but I love it when I do. And when I don't it looks great with my dcor.

I purchased this yoga mat last December and really love it. It is very cushy so I don't need to "double mat" as well as being large enough for my tall frame during yoga classes. It was a little slippery in the beginning but that is going away with time. A bit heavy, but that is a small price to pay for the luxury of this mat!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Brother in law,who is 6'1", it weighs close to 10 lbs, is plenty long, & doesn't slip!!

I got the pro mat with the extra length. It's just about broken in, low slipping and getting better as I break it in. I'm only breaking it in by practicing on it. I love the density and it definitely cushions my body. Great money spent.

I have started Yoga some some months ago and needed an extra long Mat ... I found it at Manduka ! Apart from the color (not much choice ...) this is a master purchase.
