I was looking for a quality durable bag that is made in the US and will last that would replace buying purses forever. This bag killed it. Not only does it have a pocket for my make up and slots for my credit cards but also enough space to stash a change of clothes and small laptop or other electronic device. Friends of mine have timbuk2 bags from a decade + ago & that speaks volumes on their durability. With the lifetime warranty I'm confident I won't ever have to go bag shopping again.

For daily carrying my laptop to work and home and everywhere I go. My work involves a lot of driving and different places.

I use my Timbuk2 custom messenger bag (XS) as an everyday bag when going to work, running errands, in short travels, etc. It is very handy and comfortable, although a bit stiff as a new.

I use the bag all the time. I love it, it's comfortable, it has plenty of room and is stylish. I get many compliments.

Bought this bag in extra small to use as a day bag for a trip to Rome and Paris. The bag was great on the trip. The construction quality is top notch. The bag held a ton of stuff. It held tickets for attractions, snacks, point and shoot Sony camera, extra batteries, battery chargers, sunglasses, iPhone, keys, water bottle, rain coat, etc.

These bags are simply the best! I bought this for my husband as a surprise gift to replace his old Timbuk2 bag. He has had his bag since he was a child (he is 29 now) and it still works wonderfully despite the stains and wear. You simply won't find a better bag than these. My timbuk2 bag is going on 4 years old and is still perfect as well. We love these products and can't recommend them enough.

I needed a new messenger bag for graduate school and commuting. This Custom Classic Messenger Bag fit the bill perfectly. The size medium has enough room to fit my laptop, books, travel mug, water bottle, and a small change of clothes but doesn't feel too bulky. It also looks professional enough that I don't feel embarrassed to bring it to client sites, but isn't quite the leather briefcase-level formal either. The strap is perfect for commuting by bike, cinching up close enough to keep the bag from swaying from side to side, but sliding down easily enough to look like a regular over-the-shoulder bag. The add-on reflective elements in the piping and material light me up like a Christmas tree on my way back home at night too.

I use this bag to carry my electronic and important documents to and from work. Great bag, practical and functional.

I really love my new custom designed messenger bag. It is really good quality and well designed with loads of compartments that are slick and neat and don't get in the way when you're not using them. The size is perfect (I got the medium one), it fits loads in it, is very strong, and the perfect fit for my average sized body (it's not too big). I was a bit concerned about not having any outside pockets, but have found the side access pocket under the cover works well for me and I can get my keys in and out without opening the velcro. My only improvement suggestion would be to make the pull tag on this pocket slightly longer. All in all I absolutely love the bag, it is excellent quality and looks great.

I usually use this bag to tote around all of my stuff that I take with me when I bike to and from my office each day. My load varies widely, but I knew I wanted something with enough space for EVERYTHING if need be. This bag is perfect, roomy, and always have enough space to shove an extra jacket, book, or water bottle in. It's definitely very heavy when packed full, but can be balanced in such a way to be the least annoying way to carry such a monsterous load on a bike. Also very easy to strap down to my bike rack, if going shorter distances. I also recently used it as my carry-on and loved it as well. Fits pefectly underneath the seats and everything is self-contained inside the bag (no water bottle pockets on the outside to get caught on or have things fall out of). The laptop pocket feels secure, and there are plenty of other organizational little spaces in the bag. If I could have switched out some of the wallet-type pockets for one more smaller zippered pocket I would have, but this is a minor tweak on otherwise perfect bag. And, lastly, it was so wonderful that I could customize it to be exactly as I wanted. I got an enormous bag that was colorful with tons of pockets. Considering durabiliy, rain-repellantness, and size, I would have paid a similar amount for most other bags I was considering, but I wouldn't have gotten to choose as many details about it. Awesome, Timbuk2! You guys are the coolest.

Versatile, lightweight and durable, I'm in love with my bag. I can't wait for the day Timbuk2 makes a legit hardcore camera bag/backpack.

I gave this to my wife as a birthday gift. She's using it for her 'office' bag which she takes everywhere she goes. It's a great looking bag while being roomy enough for her planner, phone, lunch, snacks, water bottle, dog leash, etc. And it's durable enough for her life on the road as a farrier.

I ordered the largest sized 'classic' messenger bag, based on how many books I have to carry currently for college. Of course, once I graduate, it'll be the perfect commute and career carrier for anything I need every day on the job (laptop, iPad, notebook, pens, chargers, snacks, water bottle...). This is a very well-made messenger bag and I think it's somehow has uniqueness (you can customize colors and materials) and somehow has mass-appeal as well; different people would find many different uses for this.

My son loves this. Great for school and lasts a long time.

I use this when I ride my motorcycle to go to and from work beautiful colors I really enjoy the reflective striping the medium was too large the small is a bit too small it could be a little bigger a little roomier with maybe an extra compartment other than that very happy with my selection

I bought this for my partner as she admired the one I bought for myself a couple of years ago. It's much better than a handbag (what we call a purse in the UK) and is unique as well.

I bought this bag to replace an old purse that broke. I use it to carry all of my daily things to and from the office. I also took my bag camping (as a stash all/purse) and on a day trip. I love that I can fit a spare jacket, a water bottle and anything else that I may need inside without it looking gigantic and cumbersome. Best bag I've owned by a long shot!!!

I love this bag.I got my bag for school but after opening it up and seeing how much space there still is to use I can easily see myself using this bag for everyday life for years to come. And if the time comes that this bag wears out I'll be very quick to get another messenger bag from TimBuk2. Fantastic bag.

I use my Timbuktu bag every day while commuting. I got the small size and it's perfect for carrying a 13" MacBook, wallet, phone, a magazine or two, a moleskine and earbuds, with room to spare! I love the custom options and made it to suit me as a left handed person - finally I have a bag that feels natural and a part of me! The custom fabrics and options were really fun to play with too!

I struggled with the strap placement and bag placement for my first few rides. It caused a bit of back pain but now that I have adjusted properly and focus on packing properly this bag is quickly becoming my favorite. Plenty of pockets in this bag - I have heard of some people complain the newer bags have less pockets but I have not seen it as a hindrance.

Great product! I have x small I use as a "purse". I wish I'd bought a small because the med is a bit bulky.

I am not a messenger, but I do commute often for work. I work in hospice, so professionalism is a must. This bag is attractive, and being able to design my bag means that I'm not flashy. Since there are compartment options, I could choose my level of organization need. I can store way more items in my bag than I thought possible, and all without losing a thing thanks to the compartment organization options. I chose not to include the padded shoulder strap to my order, and this was a mistake. Although it looks bulky on the model photos, not having that additional padding when I carry so many thing is tiring. My only real complaint is that there are not more fabric options for the inside of the bag. Although I do want to be professional for my job, there's nothing like a little secret sass for the inside of your bag to improve your day! All around, though, this bag has been magnificent. I would buy Timbuk2 again.
