I haul a lot each day - files/lunch/laptop/change of clothes for gym ... this bag is perfect!!

Me and my 3 older sons use your bags and Chrome As we all cycle, travel, camp. We think we agree that Timbuk2 makes the best messenger bags and Chrome makes the best backpacks.

This was a gift and the person receiving was very happy with its classic design and sensible size

I love this bag, is very practical for every day use. Plenty of room, used for cycling or inside the office.

This is a great bag that I use for day to day to the office, then to school, as well as a carry on when travelling. It's roomy enough to fit my work laptop as well as water bottle, wallet, novel, and a electronics pouch. I love all the compartments and the strap is really nice and comfy. The pattern is unique and I've gotten a lot of complements on it. The only con that I can think of is that the snap that you use to adjust the length of the strap is easily bumped and sometimes can be opened very easily and then my bag just drops as the strap lengthens. I'm hoping that it'll just be something that I will get used it.

I give a bag to each of my nieces and nephews as they start college. The newest freshman loves this bag. Roomy and organized, allows him to carry everything he needs to classes.

I was looking for a 'man bag' to carry all my daily essentials, MacBook, compact camera, mobile phone, book, paper & pens, deodorant etc. I wanted a high quality and stylish messenger type shoulder bag. Nothing I found around town fitted my needs. The classic messenger bags looked perfect on the Timbuk2 website, exactly what I had been looking for, so I ordered the medium 'nautical' classic bag. I always prefer to see an item in the flesh before buying! So it was a huge gamble! When the bag arrived my expectations were exceeded, it was perfect! High quality, super cool and stylish, ample compartments and the strap is ideal too. Buy with confidence! I've had my bag almost a year now and use it daily....and it's as good as new.

I use the medium classic messenger to carry laptop and daily debris to and from work. Padded laptop sleeve is a good idea as it keeps things secure and protected. Lots of space for lunch and a change of clothes should the need present. Enough pockets to keep the journey organized.

The inner mesh pockets hold everything in place to make an easy one handed find.

Messenger bag is used as a purse...for everything. It fits lunches, groceries, phone, wallet and much more. I love it.

I love it. I ordered the small, and could've gotten the extra small, but it works for what I need.

Good messenger bag

This bag replaced my previous messenger bag that saw 20 years of commuting use. The old bag is dirty, smelly, and still in pretty good shape. I just needed a new and bigger bag. This new jumbo sized bag is perfect. It rides well on my back and doesn't slide around. Easy to adjust the straps, and there is plenty of storage options inside as well on the outer side of the bag. Even a spot to hang a few rechargeable blinky lights for commuting. It's survived a few weeks of very wet weather in Seattle and kept my stuff nice and dry on the inside.

My first Timbuk2 Classic messenger bag lasted, and lasted, and lasted. At least 15 years, but I lost it or something along the way. So when I was in need of another all-around bag I naturally turned to the best US messenger bag maker. I'm happy to see the commitment to no-nonsense, burly construction quality have survived, and the design is even more refined and intelligent than my old bag. Great, great bag.

I am pleased with how sturdy this is for lightweight bag. I bought the medium and its a perfect size for me as a female. Just enough room without being to bulky or heavy when full. I carry my laptop in it, books, snacks, water bottle and other small personal items. The bag is very durable, resist stains, the flap cover holds nicely in place with the Velcro and sometimes I use the clips to fully secure it if I'm running around. I do keep the lap top in a protective sleeve for added protection. I like that the bag is casual looking for not dumpy looking. Still looks sleek and of quality. Great, solid stitching. Good buy!

I am currently on my ninth bag, my first being from 1994. I change bags everytime I change motorcycles, being that I must always keep evolving. Just as Timbuk2 has evolved, when I look at my bags of years past, one can really see the improvements,such as the size of the buckles, the interior lining, the updated swirl logo. One of my favorite things is when I return home to San Francisco, and I am on the street and witness many different bags in use. A tremendous sense of local pride washes over me. I travel by plane frequently, and need a good carry-on to lug my laptop, notebook, papers, and usually whatever I'm reading for pleasure. I've been plagued with a series of bags that do a couple things well and everything else poorly (e.g., it holds all I need but is miserable to wear, or it's comfy and roomy but easily disorganized). This bag has solved all those problems. I loved getting to design my own color scheme, and functionally it's ideal. And I like that the custom bags are made here in the US. I can't yet speak to its durability, as it's only a month old, still but a baby. One very minor drawback is that as it's designed to be worn on one side or the other, if I throw it over my shoulder quickly (as opposed to wearing it across the chest/back), it sits a little awkwardly. But again, that's a minor issue, that only presents itself in limited circumstances.

The bag is perfect, it'll last forever! The only thing I wished, was for more fabric options when designing my bag. But in the end - I loved it!

The bag that goes with the task of living large! When I need to carry more than I can handle and I'm gone for the day or week all of my essentials fit inside food/change of clothes, wine etc. Nothing falls out thanks to strong clasps and burly Velcro. Away fromHome-and on the run take it from a busy personal trainer you nailed the stylish man bag!!!

I am a mom, a teacher, and an NYC commuter with back and joint pain. I need a bag that strained my joints minimally when loaded, but is light when not loaded, and is completely weather-proof. I tried a lot of different bags and sizes, and finally borrowed my husband's 15 year old Timbuktu bag. I thought he'd let me keep it, but he said NO WAY and I had to go on the web site and get myself an early Xmas present. I LOVE this bag, and have been making similarly-enlightened connections all over the city- my doctor, that random guy on the train, it's amazing. :) The fact that I couldn't get an all-purple one is, in the greater scheme, a really minor complaint. The inside that is NOT BLACK so you can actually find things is a revelation, in a city that is entirely too obsessed with black. Love also the attention to sustainability. Use my bag when commuting on my scooter. The reflective digital cammo pattern increases my visibility.

I got this as a gift from my wife, to finally solve my never ending quest for a good, solid, practical but stylish bag. Its great, was made and delivered quickly - despite the transatlantic order. I use it pretty much every day now, for all sorts of errands. I kinda wish we picked the medium size though, the small size is a tad too small for my 15inch laptop.

-The multitude of pockets and LeftHanded shoulder strap option sold it for me! The Weather Resistant & Lightweight material was a bonus. And those compression straps are fantastically useful! -The weather resistant material is, by nature, not as flexible as nylon or canvas, so some pinch/fold marks can be expected to appear on the surface with routine use. -The Crossbody Strap with Clip item has a design issue with the clip attachment; it takes some hassling to connect it to the bag's buckle/ring. (Workaround: find a small ring to serve as an adaptor mid-piece or just use the included strap with velcro attachment.) -The only extra pocket I could want would be one more 6-7 inch open pocket on the face of the Crater Laptop Sleeve just below the velcro patch. -What if the reflective silver binding material was available as a panel option? Wow, it is BRIGHT! Talk about night visibility! -I plan on buying a 2nd similar bag with Hi-Vis Reflective Mesh Jet Black panels for the cloth flexibility for dry weather! -Timbuk2 will always be the first bag company I will suggest to prospective buyers! I'm very happy with my purchase!

I use my bag for work. I'm an airline pilot and probably one of the few worldwide that rides a bike to the airport. When I was looking for a bag I needed it to be a proper bike messenger bag, be hi-viz for night riding, but still look professional. This bag does all of that. I can't fault it.
