A very comfortable shoe. I took them on a trip that involved a great deal of walking, and they felt great the entire time. I've had problems with plantar faciitis in the past but had no trouble with these.

Loved the comfort and fit of this shoe. I wear a size 8 and these fit perfectly. Unfortunately the color of the shoe does not in any way match the color shown on the website. Mine are very dark brown without the rich color shown. I plan to keep them but have to admit to I'm disappointed.

Got these for my wife. She wears them at her job where she is on her feet all day. This is her second pair. Very comfortable and good support. Soles don't last as long as other Merrell types do.

I like a flat shoe, which is impossible to find in a clog but these work for me in terms of heel height comfortability. Great in the rain too, keep your feet dry and tolerate downpours well!

Liked the shoe, but need a deeper heel as my foot slips out of shoe. Nice leather upper, great quality, will order something with a more secure fit. Love working with Zappos.

Zappos is great! They deliver promptly, and then if I don't want anything I ordered, it is easy as pie to send it back no questions asked. Delivery is free both ways. What's not to like?

I love these shoes and they have quickly become my favorite. They are my "go to" shoes in cold weather with a pair of wool sox.

Shoe fits the same as the other merrell wide width shoes. Encore Nova 2's insole is not as comfortable as Encore Breeze. I bought this pair to wear during winter and when it rains to keep my feet dry. Zappos has free & fast shipping and I have always been able to return for free also.

I have owned several pairs of Merrells in the past 15 years. I like this particular style for their comfort and because they are easy on and off. While these shoes are comfortable, both the nubuck pairs and the one fabric pair I have been more comfortable. With this particular shoe, although I ordered my regular size, they were too big and I had to exchange them for a smaller size.

I find that all of the Merrell clog/slide type shoes run about a half-size large on me. Nice shoes, though, once I figured out what size I needed.

These are totally comfortable, although I was a little disappointed that the color was substantially different than the picture. It was a more "chocolate" brown. I would have preferred the color in the picture. But, they're still comfortable!

I ordered these for work. I'm on my feet 9 hours a day and these help so much. There is no break-in period. I wear them with khakis or corduroys and they look fine with either one. I have had several pairs of Merrell's and I would recommend them to anyone.

I've always loved the quality of Merrell Shoes. Seems the quality is slipping, not as good a leather and much stiffer. I hope Merrell will correct this.

I was looking for new nursing shoes and ordered these thinking they were the same shoes I had tried on at Dillard's. Apparently the shoes from Dillard's were the Encore Nova 1. The Nova 2 has a bump or ridge on the sole of the shoe towards the toe that feels awkward. I returned these and ordered the Nova 1 from Dillards. They are so comfortable. A great alternative to Dansko for nurses.

I love these shoes and have had two pairs and would love a third. My problem is that they squeak. The latest ones I got squeaked almost from the first time I wore them. The first pair didn't squeak until they were a year old. You can hear me before you see me when I wear them!

I sent these shoes back, I was disappointed in the fit and low support.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes, which I love. But these latest ones SQUEEK! I think the quality may not be up to those in the past. Other than that, the fit, comfort and styling are fine.

These were the closest to what I was looking for, I almost bought. The upper was too short for my foot and it looked... very utilitarian and too masculine.

Ouch. I've had these shoes for about 9 months, mostly worn during the warmer months (June - October). When first worn, they felt okay - comfortable I thought. After several days of wearing, both my feet really hurt, especially on the bottoms, like plantar fasciitis was setting in. I had fairly serious injury last spring, and thought maybe that was the problem - that my foot was still healing. Move to fall and winter, and my footwear changed out. Feet completely stopped hurting. Thought maybe my foot had finally healed. Wore these ONCE when the weather warmed up in February, and my feet started up with the same pain on the bottom of the foot again. They feel a bit narrow, and for lack of a better description, feel "U-shaped" from the portion of the shoe where one's foot plants itself (various changes in insoles did not change this feeling) - my husband described the same sensation with the men's version. I decided afterwards that I have to cut my losses and get rid - life is too short to walk around in shoes that are causing pain.

I really wanted to love this shoe. It had everything I needed, study, solid backless black work shoe that doesn't look like a sneaker. Sadly, it wasn't wide enough for my feet (I unfortunately wear a WW and finding comfortable shoes is extremely difficult). I have a coworker who swears by them so I will give a higher rating, but they were way too tight for me. Sending them back.

I've worn this style of Merrell for many years because I have flat feet and had to have ankle surgery years ago for a ruptured tendon as a result, so I have to have arch support. They are not the greatest looking shoes, but they are extremely comfortable and about the only ones I can wear for long periods of time if I am on my feet a lot. I have 3 other pairs that I have literally worn out but still wear if I'm working in the yard or sometimes just around the house. However, I must agree with a previous reviewer who commented that the quality of Merrell shoes has gone downhill. I, too, found these new ones to be more flimsy, to the point where one does not hold its shape well. Also, the arch support is not as good either, and they are not nearly as comfortable as my other 3 pairs. I only kept these because I am hoping that over time they will become more comfortable. But I won't be buying anymore in the future.

I have work Merrell Mocs for years -- perhaps over 8 different pairs. This may be my last pair, at least by mail. The quality has changed to stiffer leather, less comfortable, and maybe less arch support. I used to feel that these were the best I could possibly buy, and now I'm not a big fan.

These are slick, stylish-looking shoes but I ordered my normal size, 8.5 wide, and can barely get my foot into the shoe. They were just what I was looking for but have to go back because they're so narrow.

This shoe scratches too easily and the sole is hard, not comfortable like my older pair.
