With two kids now on east coast, I needed boots that would handle wet and cold and NYC style - these were perfect. Relatively lightweight, I walked to the Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Brooklyn Bridge...in the same day! Have owned the "industrial strength Sorels" for Mammoth living, but these were perfect for city life. The heel height is this 57-year-old's max, but I will wear these for years to come. Sizing was accurate - I am 9.5, ordered 10 for heavy socks - could have easily gone down to 9.5 I will probably order the fur wedges next! Thanks Sorel, Thanks Zappos!

Due to plantar fasciitis and bone spurs I had long given up on any kind of heel until I tried this boot. So comfortable and stylish I can't believe I'm wearing heels. I have 18" calves and originally tried the tall boot but was not thrilled with the fit of the shaft but the footbed was amazing so I went for the Mid boot. Sorel needs to continue to make these as it is a fabulous boot. If you are doubting the price, don't. It's worth every penny. Oh, and it's actually warm with a nice pair of wool socks. Take it from me, I never write reviews and I just had to write one about this boot.

I have worn these boots almost every day since I got them. They're comfortable, stable and provide a stylish way to keep comfortable in an Alaska winter. They don't breathe particularly well, so be aware of that if that's a concern for you.

I normally do not write reviews; however, I felt strongly enough to share my opinion. These are absolutely the most comfortable boots I have ever owned! I have walked many miles, spent full days standing in hockey rinks and run through multiple rain puddles -- all the while my feet were never sore, stayed nice and warm and remained dry. The price tag kept me from buying sooner -- but I had the opportunity to try them on in a store and fell in love with the comfort, style and waterproof feature. I would buy them in every color if I could justify it. I receive numerous compliments every time I wear them and have referred several people to the product. I bought the Fossil color and they fit true to my shoe size (not typical of my other 3 pairs of Sorel boots, which usually run at least a half size too small). Definitely worth the money!

These boots are awesome! I've had them for two weeks now, wear them every day. They are incredibly comfortable, walked in them all day through airports and my feet were great. Wedge is easy to walk in and the tread gripes the sidewalk, no way you will fall in these. I think they will be warm enough for below freezing temps, especially with wool socks on. I get compliments all the time, people asking me where to buy them. Worth the price. I wear 9.5 and that's what I ordered. They are a little roomy even with wool socks, but I think a 9 would be too small.

I purchased these boots with some trepidation, mostly beacause of the wedge heel. Once they arrived and I tried them on, I fell in love with them. They are super comfortable, you don't even realize you're in a wedge boot. I love them, so happy I bought them.

Love these boots! After looking at them the last year, I decided to splurge for the upcoming Chicago winter. I am so happy I did - the fit is great - a little loose, but enough room for a heavy sock and not too much room as to require ordering a different size. The grip is excellent. The style is perfect to wear all day. Worth every penny!

These are absolutely amazing! They are gorgeous, super comfortable, warm, constantly complimented and now I can still be cute during the winter! They run true to size. I am a 6 and I got a 6.

Great wedge boot. 3" but feels flat when on just give you the height. I am between 7 1/2 and 8 more on the 8 side. I settled with the 7 1/2. I can wear wool socks but not the very thick ones. 4 stars on style because from the side view it is so nice looking it makes the front a little masculine. But it is waterproof and should be a great winter boot.

Wow! Buy these boots and don't think twice. They are comfortable and trendy. They are easy to put on in a pinch and are warm. Looking for style and function? These are them. Splurge and go for it!

I have these boots in black and I love them! The wedge is really comfortable (I have bad bunions and have a hard time with higher heels normally). They look great with so many different "looks." I know many people say they run large, but I have them in my regular 9.5 and there is exactly enough room to wear thicker, warmer socks. (You'll need to wear warm socks in winter because they are not lined or insulated.) My sister has them in the brownish-black and that color is also fabulous.

I have been thinking about these boots since last year. I wish I had gotten them then! These boots are so comfortable! I have been out all day shopping in them and they are still comfortable. And they look amazing. I have gotten so many compliments. As for size, I ordered a size 8 and I thought they felt big at first and ordered a half size down (7.5). The 7.5 fit pretty well but too tight with a thick winter sock. I ended up keeping the 8 and I am happy I did. I advise that you order your size and a 1/2 size smaller and see what works best for you. I will enjoy mine for the next several snowy months! Makes me happy it's winter!

I absolutely love these boots! The style is fabulous, perfect for jeans or for an edgier look with a skirt. I was worried that the heel would feel too high for wearing every day, especially in rain, but it's very comfortable. The size feels slightly larger than normal, but for me it means I can wear the boots with thicker socks as the weather gets colder. I'm really happy to have a stylish but practical boot for bad weather.

Love these! Super cute, functional in nasty MN weather, so comfortable and my. Boyfriend said these are his favorite boots of mine and I have a lot of boots. Bought the grill and it's a brownish grey color that does work with every color. I wear with skinny and straight leg jeans, shorter skirt and tights and with leggings. I normally wear a 9 or 9.5 and I ordered a 8.5 and still have plenty of room for a thick sock and I have wider feet.

These are amazing I bought them to use during my back packing trip through Europe during late November. They never once hurt my feet. They kept my feet dry and matched and looked cute with all my clothes. I wanted shoes that looked good with my style, kept my feet dry (lots of rain), and were comfortable. I walked about 12 hours a day with 40 lbs on my back and these went above and beyond my expectations. I bought them because of their reviews and knew the price was worth it especially for the long hours of walking. I now use them for all the raves, events, I go to and when I travel. Also used in Japan, Hawaii, Mexico and So Cal. Work well in warm weather. Also did not make my feet hot.

Fantastic! Comfortable from the very first wear, warm (even though they are not lined, and my feet are sensitive to cold, they seem to do pretty well!), stylish. I've gotten tons of compliments and am so glad I bought these. They are a bit roomy but in a way that's comfy, especially with thick socks.

LOVE these boots! I feel they are true to size. I ordered a half size down because many of the reviews said to do so - but they were too small - especially with thick socks on (which most would wear with a outdoor winter boot. So I exchanged for my typical size. They are rugged and super cute and functional too! They are warm and the heels are super comfortable. I don't even feel like I'm wearing heels. I highly recommend this boot!

Love these boots! I really wasn't thinking and left the house with these on to run errands. Not the best idea when wearing new shoes/boots. 6 hours and 6 stores later I finally arrive home and my feet were not sore at all. Definitely worth the price.

These boots are awesome. So very comfortable, look great with jeans, short skirt and black hose. I've walked all day in them and not the first problem; didn't have to "wear them in," they fit and felt great the first time I put them on. Never paid this much for shorter boots but well worth the money.

Fabulous! Too big - size down 1/2 size. I'm super sad they are sold out in the size I want. I'll hunt them down somewhere because they are that good!

When I ordered these I didn't quite believe all the other reviewers as to how comfortable these are. I was so happy to find out they were all right. Amazingly stylish boot and incredibly comfortable at the same time. Love them!

Holy Moly, I'm in love with these boots. Love the look of them, love the height you get from the heel but they feel like flats because of the wedge design. The recent snow has melted so I haven't been able to test the tread in snow but it looks/feels plenty grippy. Maybe the best part is that these boots are built with room for thick socks! I'm wearing them with the thinnest available Smartwool socks and they almost feel loose. I wear/bought a size 11 and they fit perfectly. I never am able to break shoes in without pain - this is the first time!

These boots are badass. I own a boot collection that might be worthy of a sociology experiment but these boots are the marriage of coolness and function. Buy them or be the person that does not.

I can tell even though these were so big that they will be awesome in the right size. I couldn't find a 7 or 7.5 from Zappos so I had to purchase elsewhere. (I originally purchased size 8 and normally always size 8 in boots). Super cute and sleek. To echo the other reviews these boots will look good with any ensemble. Very versatile and comfortable!

These shoes are great! They are very comfortable even though they are higher. I highly recommend.
