Wow! I am impressed with how comfortable these are from the moment I tried them on. They do run big (wide and roomy). I wear a 6 and usually a 6.5 if there is a heel. I followed the other reviews and got these in a 6. That works for winter socks and layers. They don't have much arch support, but I can easily put a pair of inserts in. It was raining here the day they arrived and they do well under those conditions. Pricey though.

had to send back. Have always worn size 7.5-8 ladies and have a wider foot. Based on reviews I ordered Size 7.5..However, the boot is very NARROW w/tight leather. Its too snug even w/ thin sock. Sending back for Size 8 which is what usually always order! Didn't run as small in my opinion.

I love the look of these boots! I needed a pair of well-made boots that I could walk in all the time without the heels wearing out in a week, three months later they are still going strong. A note on the fit: they are a little roomy but I have a narrow foot; I ordered a size 9 1/2 and they were too small, so I just wear thicker socks with these and they feel great. I walk a lot and love bombing around the city in these and every time I wear them, I get a compliment from someone on how great they look. They look fantastic with leggings or skinny jeans, I"m sure they will look great with skirts, too but it's been too cold to try that out.

These shoes are very comfortable and cute. I can see commuting in them during bad weather this winter. They are also wide enough for my feet which is often a problem for me.

Some things to know if you buy these boots. 1) They have some sort of treatment on the leather that rubs off and leaves oily stains on the paper they come wrapped in, which means they will probably do the same for any light colored pants you wear. 2) You'll need to wear long socks with them as the inside leather is rough and scratchy with short socks on. 3) The leather bulges out a bit where the shoe meets the top of the wedge making the shoe portion appear larger than the heel portion.

I have only worn them once so far because I am still recovering from the blisters they left. I hope that once I break them in they will be as comfortable as I had hoped they would be when reading other reviews. They were kind of tight even with thin socks, so I do not see myself being able to wear thick winter socks with them. They seem about half a size smaller than marked. I also have wider feet, and they felt too narrow. I am really hoping that they work out because I was so psyched about getting them, and because of the price.

Beautiful but too big. No size 5 or 5.5, so I'm out of luck. Please Sorel, consider making smaller sizes in your shoes and boots! Tragic, really...

I ordered these boots after reading many reviews at a variety of sites. I was not sure I loved the look but many reviews said they were very comfortable. That's what sold me. Standing in them was fine, they were roomy in the toe box. My problem was that they were very heavy to lift. They were just too heavy and had to go back.

I was so excited about these boots! Online they looked like the perfect color and was looking forward to trying on the comfort the other reviewers were raving about. But I'll be sending them back. The color is way off of the picture (I ordered the light camel color). The picture looks very rich and carmel-y; the boot itself came and it was so much grayer; barely brown really. Was very disappointed. I will say, however, that if you're looking for comfort, this is it. Truly comfortable boots. I wear an 8.5-9 usually and I ordered these in 8.5. They were a tiny bit big but might have been fine with a thick sock. Too bad - guess I'll find another Sorel and try again.

I was excited about this boot due to the great reviews but after receiving it I was disappointed in the fit and look. I love the wedge but I had to lace it up tight in order for it to stay on and it made me look like a clown. The shoe does have great traction but unfortunately I need to send it back. Ladies, don't let the Sorel brand fool you. This is not a boot meant for the elements. While wearing these boots after a snow storm I slipped on a patch of ice and broke my ankle (on both sides) requiring 4 hours of surgery to reconstruct the ankle. Now these boots give me PTSD. They did nothing to provide a tread or to protect my ankle during the fall. I was sad because I loved these boots. If you buy them, don't wear them outside.

I wanted to LOVE these (and unfortunately did not find out their critical problems until after I wore these outside). The top of the foot into the ankle area stretched out completely after one wearing and is now so loose I nearly turn my ankle when I walk in them, no matter how tightly I lace them. They are gorgeous looking but unless you have fairly thick ankles, these will stretch out on you and make them uncomfortable and hard to walk in. Sorry I didn't send them back, especially at this price.

I was disappointed in this shoe. It looks really cute online but in person the grill color looks totally black. They look like a black military shoe. Less stylish and more chunky. They did fit true to size and seem to be very comfortable. Maybe the tan would be better but for the outrageous price this boot does not fit the bill.
