These boots are awesome, perfect, exactly what I was looking for. They were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them to volunteer at the outdoor concession stand at the high school football game. Stood for 4 hours in the cold. I was comfortable, warm AND stylish!

I have owned and used my first pair of SOREL's and I am happy to have made the purchase. I had no need to break-in the shoes, even with the size half larger than my usual 7 (US). Fits my ankles quite well and its proven to be stylish and versatile with either pants, leggings, or skirts. I look forward to see it go through its first winter his year.

It really cannot be overstated how comfortable these boots are! You absolutely don't feel like you are wearing a heel of any kind. The sizing is true for wearing with socks. The Grill/Black color is a nice addition to my closet. It's a dark mushroom color.

I loved the look, but was hesitant to take a chance on these given the size of the heel, but based on the other reviews and a pair of SOREL sandals I had over the summer, I gave them a try...they are AMAZINGLY comfortable. I walk 3-6 miles a day in the city and these are almost as good as a pair of tennis shoes--I don't know how (an engineering feat) but they are!

These are an amazingly functional yet sexy shoe. I normally range anywhere between a 9-10 in sizing and I went with the 9. After wearing them twice I did notice that they stretched quite a bit as the leather is so deliciously soft. I'm not a girl that wears a lot of heels or wedges (old ankle injury), but these have never caused me the same pain I get with other heeled shoes. I got some good insoles and they fixed the loosening issue too. I get compliments every time I wear these, they are just so great! Great tread that keeps you grounded and industrial details that keep you looking good no matter what you wear them with. Enjoy!

I love these boots; they fit true to size; I receive lots of compliments; wear comfortably all day as a teacher. (True test is when I keep them on even after a day on my feet.) I have found that I can flip them down and lace them half-way for a nice look with skinny pants. At first I wondered if my heels would rub against the back of the boots, I ordered up to an 11 to compare with the 10, but that was too big. I took a risk the rubbing would be a non-issue. They never have hurt at all. They are the perfect boots. The hardest decision was which color. I have the grayish color. The soft black was also nice.

I absolutely love these boots. I am a size 6 but I like a little bit of space in my boots for socks so I ordered a 6½. Unfortunately the 6½ were out of stock and I was heartbroken! Based on the reviews here I went ahead and ordered them in a size 6 and they fit just the way that I had hoped! These definitely run half a size big, but do not hesitate! They are so so comfortable and look so cute with either tights and a skirt or skinny jeans tucked in. I wore these out for a whole day of apple and pumpkin picking - about six solid hours on my feet - and I felt a-okay. It is nice to have a boot option that both looks cute and is also rugged and comfortable.

I love these boots - they are really durable, waterproof, and cute! I use them as more of a fall shoe not winter. And the wedge is the perfect height for me (I'm 5'6").

These shoes are stylish and incredibly comfortable. I normally only wear flats, but have found these easy to wear all day. I did get a half-size larger than my normal size, not for length, but to get a bit more width so I can wear them with heavier socks.

I love these boots! They are so comfortable. I have worn them twice for all day walking/shopping in Durango, Colorado. The weather finally turned cool enough to wear them. I have been stopped on the street, and asked where I got them. So, super cute! I love the fact that they are water proof...no worries in the rain or snow, and they have a great tread for our winter weather. I can't wait to wear tall heavy socks with them.

These are so comfortable. I wore them in winter for my Euro vacation and I have no pain. The only thing is that they make my feet very stinky. True to size but I still ordered half size up to be extra comfy.

Amazing weather proof boot with a wedge heel, can wear all day and feet did not get tired, order your true size if you want a bit of room for heavy socks, I wear a 7.5 and have a wide foot and tried a 7 also but was a bit tight with a heavy sock.

So I love how these look, and based on other reviews, I ordered a half size down. Unfortunately, that pair felt too tight (narrow, my little toe was getting crushed), and the next size up, my toes felt fine but my heels was sliding. :(

I almost almost almost kept these. They are very stylish and, for as tall as they are, very comfortable. However, I need my bootie to go off road and they were just too wobbly on the grass and for all-day wear I think my feet would be tired.

Super comfortable especially after wearing them a couple of times. They keep your feet warm. I had to go down a 1/2 size.

After reading a lot of these reviews, I decided to purchase these boots in Black. I live in Colorado and this is my second pair of Sorels. My first pair is still good, but I wanted something a little more stylish and a boot that had some height. The hidden platform in these boots is great. I read that some people sized up and down, but I ordered my normal size 7 and they fit great. I don't wear really thick socks with my boots, so I'm just fine. Very happy with my purchase.

I was really excited about these boots - but returned them because the style was just not for me. I ordered the "Nori" color combo and hated it - They are very green. I was expecting a subtle army green/worn medium brown, but they are very vibrant. They made me feel like I was going off to combat. That being said, they are some of the most comfortable boots I have ever tried on. I order my usual size of 8, and they fit perfect with a bit of extra room for thick(er) socks. (On a side note, I have very wide feet). I loved the wedge heel, they could easily be dressed up or worn very casually all while being comfortable beyond belief. In the end, I just couldn't spend this much money on boots I didn't absolutely love.

Pros: The grill/black boots are an awesome color. They looked more dark gray when I first took them out of the box, but in the light, I see more of the brown color. Beautiful! These boots are a great height where you don't need to worry about the length of your socks to keep your feet and ankles warm. Super comfortable wedge to walk in. The sole of the boot is really sturdy. I usually am a 9.5 or 10. I got a 9.5 and it is the perfect fit. Any smaller and I'm sure they would be tight. Only worn them out twice so far, but they are great for this fall (acting like winter) weather. Cons: The sides of the boots above the wedge are wide and wrinkle a little, but I think the color and worn style of the material makes the wrinkle less noticeable. The laces are thick and seem prone to untying. I have to double knot and tuck the laces to make it look more sleek.

Good shoe...but hurt my back! Zappos is the best! They did a one time courtesy of retuning a used shoe! Thank you Zappos!

I was looking for an alternative to my heavy, large winter boots for this never-ending NY winter, and this fits the bill. They are warm, resist water, and generally have good traction. I've still almost wiped out on metal plates and grates. You can easily go down half a size and still fit your thick socks.

Good looking boot. Fits well and comfortable for all day wear. Good for walking but not long distances. I wore them while walking around cities and after a mile my left foot became sore. Have received many compliments on them.

True to size. I wrote a review two days ago when I first got the boots, but after wearing both my regular size (10) and a 1/2 size down, I want to amend my comment to go 1/2 size larger. I think they seem larger due to the fact that the boot is slightly wide as is the heel, but they really aren't, at least in my experience. I tested it with different pairs of socks and even with a normal sock, the toe box seemed smaller. It takes a bit of walking around to figure this out. I'd recommend walking in your home and trying a few pairs of socks!

Runs large! I'm not normally a 'runs large' type of girl. most of my shoes fit true to size or potentially a 1/2 size larger, but I had to go down a 1/2 size in these. Very comfortable and stylish. Highly recommend.

Most people wear this boot because it's cute and fashionable, I wear it because it is works well for my bike commute to work. Overall very very pleased with this boot. Zappos helped me return another "waterproof" boot that had totally not met my expectations and pointed me in the direction of this one instead. I hesitated because of the heel, but the platform makes it very comfortable and easy to walk/maneuver in. The sole is slip-proof and the boot is about 80% waterproof (the only reason I took off a star). Makes my bike commute in all forms of weather safer and easier, doesn't hurt that it's cute.

Looks in person just like on the Zappos site. I ordered a half size down based on other reviews. I normally wear and 8.5 - 9 so went for an 8 in this one. Unfortunately, it was a smidge too small. I was really going for it because of all of the feedback about the level of comfort. Because the boots were a bit snug I can't definitively comment on the foot bed, other than it has limited padding, more of a leather liner. However, for me, the height was just a tad on the knee-aching side. Super-darling boots but ultimately not super for what I need on a day-to-day basis. I'd definitely consider them for fun and fashion (if they go on sale) but not really a go-to, busy on your feet in and outside at work all day boot!
