I've been an Allen Edmonds fan for years - I'm amazed that my dress shoes from 20 years ago are still going strong and look great. I bought these (the dark brown) because of the color - especially the slight color variation pictured in the toe and they do NOT disappoint. They're my new favorite shoe to wear to work. Very comfortable and look great.

Own several pair of AE shoes. Bought this one online to have a somewhat casual shoe for my collection. I was all dress or all sneakers. This shoe is casual enough (especially with the laces) to go nicely with jeans but also has the ability to go with some brown suits or even some gray dress pants. Really like this one. Ran a bit bigger on width but not enough to change my order

I love these shoes! I have wide feet and often find quality dress shoes take time and pain to get just right. The ability to custom fit these shoes is priceless. Right out of the box the fit is perfect. Comfortable enough to wear with jeans and dressy enough for a sport coat. These are my go to shoe. My only negative is that they only come in one color.

I've had these about a year, and they still look great. They broke in well. The most remarkable thing is how often random people - women in elevators, guys on the street, clients, colleagues - come up to me and compliment the shoes. Happens almost every time I wear them.

I had myself professionally measured and I came out between a 9 and 9.5 D. I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly and were very comfortable. One of the shoes I received had a cut in the leather and I contacted Zappos about an exchange. They sent a replacement pair out the same day! The second pair fit just as well as the first and n issues were found.
The shoes looks great and are a nice dark brown as in the pictures. As another reviewer has mentioned, the soles are more red than the picture shows, but mine were not bright by any means. More of a brick red.
I've walked a few miles in the shoes already and they've been very comfortable right out of the box. The sole seems to flex nicely and there are no hotspots. All in all, a great pair of shoes. I have other pairs of shoes by Allen Edmonds and other that the problem with the first pair of Strandmoks, I've had excellent quality from them.

This is an excellent shoe. Allen Edmonds quality is as top notch as usual. The blue details are truly special and the shoes are a great fit for jeans and chinos. Love the fact that they include a second orange/cognac colored pair of laces, it looks fantastic.

Overall I love the Strandmok line. I've owned several pairs in both brown and Chromexcel black. Black Strandmoks consistently run more narrow than the same size in other colors, so this time I went with a wide. My experience is that a 10 E (wide) is significantly wider and roomier than my 10 D (medium) in the black Strandmok. The E/wide is almost too loose and large around the ankle despite pulling the laces as tight as possible.

I love how this shoe looks, the brown leather is complimented so nicely by the brick colored Dainite rubber sole. My only disappointment is with how unfinished the interior of the shoe is. It only has a small piece of leather lining the ankle opening, about a half of an inch wide, and everything else inside is unlined. For the price I was expecting a completely lined interior.
Still, I love the shoe. It is very comfortable and I just love the look.

I love the look and feel of these, especially for casual wear. Probably too funky for pairing with a suit in most situations. I've worn them several times and am still breaking them in. Not the most comfortable, but not horrible.

This is my second pair, based on loving my first pair but in the wing tip style. Overall, very good quality construction, however, the heal area was larger casing some slippage. Added some over the counter padding to remove future slippage.

So comfortable and I love the sole. It's a bit thicker and more rugged than regular street shoes. They were just a bit too narrow though and I knew they would hurt my feet so I am returning them. But I loved them.
