I love Allen Edmonds products but these are the worst shoes I have ever purchansed. The Dainite soles are almost completely inflexible. It's almost like strapping two-by-fours to your feet. Moreover, I could never break them in because of the soles. The rest of the shoe is the usual high quality.

Black stains on the red dainite on the sides. The "burnishing" of the brown saddle leather is very uneven and done so poorly it looks more like my brand new shoes are scuffed/cracked up old leather. Random spots/lines where their is no dye at all. 1 of the shoestrings is somehow 4 inches longer than the other.

Shoes got wet from the grass and the color came off like it was finger paint.

I've purchased 3 different colors of the Strandmok shoes: Slate Grey Suede, Brown Saddle leather, and Black Chromexcel Leather. The slate grey suede, and brown saddle leather arrived perfectly and the quality was immaculate. Sadly tho, the black chromexcel leather shoes arrived not once, not twice, but 3 times looking as if they were refurbished 2nd hand shoes. I purchased a second pair thinking they I would eventually receive a new pair of shoes as purchased, but did not. The quality control on these shoes is very poor. I reached out and bought another pair, after returning the first 2 pairs, and same problem the 3rd time. These have been worn, and refurbished and sent to me in used condition. Very disappointed. I am purchasing these shoes because they are supposed to be the best of the best. But what i'm receiving is sub par 2nd hand shoes. I do not want to go thru the hassle of returning this 3rd pair in hopes of getting a new pair the 4th time. See the photos. You can tell there is creases and dents and scratches on the shoes. Ive included photos on all 3 pairs of shoes Ive recieved. Showing the same problem over and over again. I would love to be able to write a good review. But you leave me no choice. I just want a new pair of shoes, not to much to ask?

I am disappointed in that, while I love the shoes, the size is too big. Not sure if they will have in my true size.

I have owned these shoes for about three weeks and wore them once. I noticed a scuff on the toe and tried Allen Edmonds brown wax polish to buff it out. I proceeded to remove the original brown color from the area I was polishing. Apparently it was not a scuff, but the original stain did not take to the leather.

The shoes are incredibly stiff. Everytime I wear them I get blisters. Also, the ankle is cut higher and the stiff, cheaper leather cuts into the skin unless I wear thick wool hiking socks. I've been wearing the original Strand for decades. Never had a problem. The Moc strand is not in the same league. Wish I'd sent them back when I could have. Foolishly, I thought I could break them in. No more Allen-Edmonds for me.

I wanted so much to like this. However mine seemed to have weird discoloration, different than the photos. Worse yet, it had a piece of leather inside the shoe that protruded and rubbed. Only ae product I've bought I didn't like. I returned these.

One shoe was great, the other- was clearly made by someone who clearly hates shoes, hates their job and probably hates themself. The fit was complete different like it was made on a different last. The quality was terrible, sections of the sewing were so crooked the my had to back and glue down the flaps left wagging outside the stitching. Utterly depressing experience.

Strandmok Black 9.5D Literally used. Not only were they wrinkled they had been broken in. I've seen better thrift store shoes. No joke. They smelled like a sweaty foot. So much for the "Rediscover America" sale. Did I mention the dust? Did I mention only one shoe bag? I only wish that I could include a picture.

Can No Longer Continue To Buy Allen Edmonds. To Many Problems With Quality, Even The Shoe Bags Are Cheaply Made (Grey Bags) Last Few Purchases Returned With Manufacturers Defects.

Until they were ruined by Saphir's Renomat cleaner, the most popular cleaner on the market. It straight up TORE OFF the apparently LOUSY finish on these shoes. This is the worst quality upper I've ever seen from Allen Edmonds. It's too bad, too, because the shoes LOOK great...as long as you NEVER clean them.

The color on this shoe was very uneven, and I will have to box it up and return it.

This Strandmok was my 4th purchase from AE online, and WILL BE MY LAST PURCHASE. The quality is just lacking. $295.00 retail shoe should be much better quality than this. I paid 245.00 plus tax. NO! Sending it back. Scratches thru the surface of the leather. On the inside loose leather, not attached securly. Trying to support made in the USA doesn't always work!
