Purchased this shoe previously in other colors and fabrics. Always fit well. This pair is really stiff, and actually hurts my left foot.

Shoe size and width too big. Spent a lot of money for something that doesn't fit.

I really love the casual style of this shoe and was looking forward to something with a rubber sole that I could wear in the wet springs in the Pacific Northwest. Waited several weeks to have my size crafted (7.5EE), but unfortunately the quality did not match the price. Even after the anniversary sale discount, I had to return. The lining on the right shoe was not stitched and the gap between the brogueing at the bottom of the laces the cap was significantly different from one shoe to the other. Disappointing.

I bought these a month ago and really love the look of them and the blue Dainite Rubber Sole. Not the love stops there. The shoe if heavier than expected. Also the leather lining ends at the back of the shoe. It does not continue to the shoe to the shoe toe box or under the tongue. I needed to add some padding (stick on mole skin) in the shoe box due to pain in top of my foot at the shoe break. Sorry but I wanted to be honest. I have purchased over 15 pairs of Allen Edmonds and had been very satisfied will all of them to the point.

I bought these shoes a couple months ago. They ran a little long and narrow for me, so I ordered several more size options and returned all but the perfect fit. Instead of the original 9.5E, I ended up at an 8.5EE. Left shoe is perfect, but on the right shoe the laces and tongue are a little off-centered (see pic)... but I still like them!

Great pair of shoes, however I noticed stitching in several areas on the shoe not cut off. The stitching is completed but threads are left just hanging in an unsightly, sloppy, and unprofessional execution of finishing. Don't get me wrong, this shoe is great. Fit is wonderful and it is a class act. I didn't notice the stitching until a friend pointed it out to me. Surely, you can do a better job.

I really wanted to love these like my other AE shoes, but the seam for the Cap toe was right at the flex point and just killed my feet. I tried working them in; tried thicker and thinner docksstill too painful to wear and had to return.

The shoe looked nice, however it was at least 1/2 size too big. I cannot order the replacement until the return is received and processed. This process will take 2-3 months.

Stitching is not as good as past pairs. And I own over 20 pair. Size is also different now from past purchases of exact same size and width. My sense is the last is now being outsourced and not what it once was. Leather was also badly knicked. They should have been deemed factory store but I paid full price. Let's see if Calares can turn these guys around, since AE had to sell for a reason. Sad.

So here's the deal... I wear a 14c (narrow). I buy Allen Edmonds because they make quality shoes in my size. However, these weren't offered in a narrow. So, I have to take this awesome shoe and put a 3rd party in sole in them. The fit still isn't perfect, but it's passable. If you wear a medium width shoe, you're good to go.

I like AE and this is a well made shoe. It is not the same size as other AE shoes though. Since I purchased this shoe online, I did not have a chance to try it on. I looked at a pair of AE shoes I bought a few months ago and went with the same size. This shoe feels like at least a half size larger since it lacks the lining of other shoes. Understand that. I took it to a store and they suggested I put an insert in and live with it. I wish I would have bought a half size smaller shoe.

I ordered the grey color, and they are much darker (almost brown) in person than they look in the picture. My shoes had several imperfections, but I liked the overall look enough to not send them back. They do look nice, and I have gotten complements on them.

I love the style. I ordered E width. Not sure I got that (no indication on the marking) They are Tight! My other of AE fit perfectly

Shoe is NOT fully lined. Very disappointing for Allen Edmonds shoe and the price you pay.

I was disappointed that the blue dye on the edges on the shoe were hastily performed, smudges around the heel portion of each shoe. I am thinking about returning these shoes. The comfort is great and the look overall is spiffy, except for the blue smudges. I have always bought Allen Edmonds shoes for the past 25 years.

I bought a pair of these in brown three years ago and they are my favorite shoes. I recently bought another pair in black, same size as my others, and had to return them because although they were the same size, they had much more volume. I was positively swimming in them. Disappointed in the quality control and consistency, to say the least.

It seems like I got a factory second, but paid full price. There were stitching marks on the sides of the leather and a cut in the leather, that had another price of leather patched over it and bubbles in the finish. I have photos I'm unable to upload at this time- but I'll try again.

I was excited to try the StrandMock in Tan Nubuck.. The first one was a little long, but otherwise all finished, so I returned it at the store, The correct size arrived but it wasn't finished in unbuckle but was much more like the Tan Suede- which lacks the lightly oiled finish. So that was returned and a 3rd pair ordered. This one had the Nubuck finish, but it was inconsistently applied. Unfortunately the finishing was very poor, with a visible cut in the welt, warps on both shoes in the back quarter as if the leather was not pulled tight or was warped. Going back and no more purchase. I was fortunate to get one in darker brown that was well finished so will keep it. Just need to keep trying until you find one that is well made.

These shoes are really well made and look great. However, I had to return them due to the buckle making too much noise while walking. I've had bit loafers before but this is the first time I've heard the buckle jiggle with each movement as if I have a pocket full of change. They need to correct that for these shoes to be worth the value.

I have had 2 pairs. One has been a great shoe, great value and the other one the heel fell off on the 92nd day. AE would not stand behind the product and replace the shoe. A shoe of this quality should not do that and if it does....you need to stand behind your product. I have owned over 20 pairs of AE and very disappointed in AE at this time.

I've had this pair of shoes for less than 2 years and only wear them on an occasional basis. While I like the style of the shoe, the interior construction has been less than I've come to expect with AE products. The insole in these shoes had to be replaced within a year of ownership, and the interior leather area around the heel area has worn through to a plastic support structure. This was my 3rd pair of AE shoes, and I've never experienced problems like this with my other pairs. I'm definitely disappointed with the way these AE shoes have worn, while my first pair has never experienced any of these wear issues.
