I have two other pairs of Born Julianne and they fit wonderfully right out of the box, good workmanship too. I needed a pair of metallic pewter for a dress for a wedding, and found out this style and brand had the perfect color. I received them next day, and the left shoe I walked out of, same size and width as the other two pairs, plus there was a defect on the left shoe, a long line of black on the bottom outside. I ordered another pair which fit perfectly, but that too had a longer black line in the same area on the left shoe, but not as noticeable because it was lower near the sole. I went ahead and ordered two more pairs; I'm in the wedding party and this had to work. The next two pairs I walked out of the left shoe. So, after all that, I am keeping the second pair because I know I won't trip or fall, even though they have a defect. I am very disappointed with Born and the quality of these shoes, but am so pleased that Zappos sends the new pairs right out, next day delivery, and has free shipping out as well as back if necessary. I wear a 7.5M.

I loved how cute and high quality these were, but the backs knifed into and DESTROYED my achilles area *through nylons* in just a 7-block walk, ruining my morning commute and prompting a detour to the drugstore to bandage bleeding heels :( Not sure it is really worth it to continue breaking these in. You have been warned.

I usually wear size 7 but the 7 was tight so I figured a 7.5 would be fine. Wished they would fit but they are just too snug in the toe box due to the style.

I own a pair of sandals from Born that are super comfortable, so I decided to splurge on the Born ballerina flats, thinking it would be a comfortable shoe. Unfortunately, when the shoe arrived, it had elastic sides that wrinkled and flopped inwards. I couldn't tell that it was that kind of shoe from the photo online. The leather at the heel part was not padded, and with the elastic, it bound to my ankles very tightly and rubbed and chafed them so badly that I was in pain all day and could barely walk. I didn't notice it when I first tried on the shoe, but after wearing it to work (and I mostly just sit at my desk at an office job), I was already in pain with red chafed ankles by the mid-morning. Too bad I can't return this shoe because I already wore it for one day. And it's way more expensive than other leather ballerina flats that are more comfortable. I bought some gel heel pads from Target to place in the shoe to see if I can salvage them, but I'll need to wait a while before trying on the shoes again, or else I will get blisters.

I have four pairs of these in different colors, all of which run true to size and are perhaps the most comfortable flats outside of Tieks that I have ever owned. I recently purchased the black full grain leather, and was shocked how uncomfortable they were. They didn't fit at all like the other colors I own. They felt a full size smaller and were much narrower. The bridge across the top of the toes also dug in, squeezing even more than the toe bed itself did. I normally wear a size 11. These fit like a narrow 10.

I couldn’t even get these on my feet! Ran very small. Ordered a 6.5 W and I saw it was a D width, but no way - couldn’t get them on. No thanks.

I loved these shoes right out of the box. Great material, good arch support, good fit across the balls of my feet. The width for the arch of my foot was too tight and my feet were uncomfortable before I took a step. They are going back and the search for comfortable flats continues.

Cut my feet until they BLED. No joke. I had to send someone to CVS to buy huge bandages because I kept bleeding through the office bandaids. Thankfully Zappos is allowing me to return them.

The shoe was pretty and fit perfectly. The back of the shoe, however, came up high and dug into my ankle. Unfortunately, I have to return them.

I purchased these shoes as they were recommended for walking on cobblestones, and I wanted to avoid wearing sneakers all day. I wanted to love them, but did not. Almost no arch support, and the toe bed felt very low and cramped. I returned them.

It's not comfortable. The side and back of the shoe are rough and rubbing on the skin. Will be returning.

Ordered these for my wife, she loved the fit and comfort. The big negative thing was they did not hold up, she is a lower level school teacher and wore them almost every weekday for the last 3 months and they are completely spent already.

Love the look and the support/feel is okay for a little flat. However, the stitching rubs my (big toe) joint and the heels rub blisters. I have never had blisters before. Definitely not what I would expect from an $80 shoe! I would return them if I could. I wore them out before I realized that by the end of the day they are painful.

First the color was SO disappointing. I ordered the "Noche" (tan) and it was such a pretty shade of warm, almost golden tan on my monitor. Upon opening the box, and seeing the color I was pretty sure it was a return, based solely on the color. This tan was a dull, taupe-gray color. NOTHING tan in this shoe, nothing at all. I tried it on and my husband said, "eh, pretty bland, and not in a good way." Yes, flats like this tend to be bland by nature, but this one had something more (or is that less?) going on. It just did not look like the photos/video. It was like another shoe. I didn't even try on both shoes because of the appearance, but it seemed that it would be pretty comfortable. So, if you find you like the look or the color, this might be a pleasant, nondescript shoe for comfort.

Caused a blister within minutes of having them on :(

I have several of these in Julianne Floral. The stitching on these were uncomfortable.

Run short and narrow, no arch support whatsoever. Good quality leather and nice colors, but back-breaking for high arched people and no good for wide-footed folks.

These shoes were incredibly stiff and uncomfortable! I returned them so I'm not sure if they would have felt better after breaking it but I don't tend to purchase shoes I have to "break in"

The brown shoe is not as polished and rich in color as the photos show. It's quite dull actually. Returned.

I need a pair of brown shoes and I wanted to love these shoes. They felt fine with length and width, but the biggest problem I felt was that there was something stabbing my foot like a piece of plastic thread in the same right at the arch. I bought the regular width and thought maybe that was it. Then I bought the wide and thought it might fix the problem. I just think the stitching is weird. I did like that there was no toe cleavage. I'm not a fan of that. I liked they were a classic look and I liked the brown, I was sad they didn't work for me.

Back cuts into my ankles. The prior version had a really nice cushion in the back but these don’t. Unf will need to try to soften the back so they don’t create blisters. Already bought the heel cushions to try to mitigate the pain.

I purchased these identical shoes 3 years ago and loved them so much I wore them out.. So... I tried to replAce them - 3 times, 2 vendors - instead of the stunning original panna cotta finish the dye job is blotchy, uneven, with obvious brush strokes - yuck. In addition, the fit is different - wider width - and the toe box is oddly arched. Really, really disappointed - perhaps these defects only affect 6 1/2 mediums.. these shoes are too pricey for the reduced quality of the product - I expect better from Born.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but it was tiny. I wear a size 10, sometimes a 9.5 if the shoe runs large. This was tiny; could barely get my foot in. Definitely order a size up.

I was excited to get these shoes after reading some of the reviews. However, was i ever disappointed, they arrived on time, but someone scratched off the M that was put on by the shoe manufacture and wrote in with a white pen W. You can tell these are definitely not a wide shoe. They had them in a wide box but not a wide shoe at all. Very sad. They will be returned.

i have this shoe style in many colors of leather but this suede pair was a little roomy in the length and more narrow in the toe. And if the material stretches when ts gets broken in i will walk right out of these shoes. Not consistent production manufacturing from the leather versions. I am returning them. the blue is a nice color though.
