The pewter color looks more taupe brown than pewter because of the band of brown fabric along the edges. It is a very basic flat with no frills.

These have more supportive footbeds than other ballet flats I've tried. They're also an accurate fit for my 6.5C, wide forefoot / narrow heel feet. Unfortunately, the zig-zag stitching creates a rough edge on the interior of the shoe that would certainly cause me blisters. This is also a very casual-looking shoe--more suitable for casual shorts or jeans than for more polished outfits. I got the Noche (Tan) color which I thought might match my pale skin, but in person the color was darker than it appeared on my monitor--would be a better match for a light coffee latte skin tone.

I bought this shoe in noche (tan), and they are beautiful. They break in with no problem, and look incredibly elegant even though I have a wide size 10 foot. Absolutely perfect with the exception of the smell. Somehow the insole managed to absorb a stench the likes of which I have never experienced in my life-- I don't have exceptionally sweaty smelly feet, nor did I wear these daily, so I am surprised and disappointed by this. I yanked out the insoles, and am currently on the hunt for new insoles to put in so I can keep wearing these shoes. Also, be wary of getting any liquid on these, it may stain. However, overall a beautiful, comfortable shoe for any occasion

I initially loved about this shoe was it's the style and color, goes with everything, until I wore them on a rainy day. They showed a major watermark and the inner lining came unglued. So, I cleaned them with leather conditioner and removed the mark but it rained again and again saw big water mark. Even when I just got a drop of water on these there is a noticeable mark. I called Zappos to ask for cleaning/conditioning advice and all I heard was "don't wear them on rainy days" - very disappointing response. No where in the advertising for this shoe does it say don't wear in the rain (BTW I have several Born shoes and love them because they are good looking and practical, no water issues). I find it unacceptable that you cannot wear a plain, ballet flat if it rains? I am very disappointing in both the shoe and Zappos response.

The padded arch insert irritated my foot. The edges if the fabric rubbed on my skin too much. Ok if you wear tights I suppose.

I wanted these to work but they really didn't. The color of the "Pewter" shoes had more of a pinkish hue and was more mottled than I'd expected. I was hopeful the fit would be good in case another color might look better; however, the back of the shoe rubbed into my heel instantly. These would require band-aids to prevent blisters on my heels, so they're headed back. If you don't get blisters on your heels from flats that rub, the general comfort seemed good.

This shoe is comfortable and I like its looks; however, the toes of the shoe are already showing signs of scuffing. I don't wear these every day so am disappointed that they already look so worn out. I'll give them some polish and hope it helps.

Nice cushioning but I can already tell that the shoes will rub the backs of my heels. Unfortunately I need to send them back.

I tried on a lot of ballet flats to find the look I wanted. These were it, but good grief! You can feel every pebble or crack in the sidewalk while wearing them. There is very little 'shoe' between your foot and the ground. My feet feel more tired after a day in these shoes than they do going barefoot. I really expected more with the Born name.

Just a warning-I ordered this in PEWTER. It is definitely more BRONZE. I have worn and this shoe was very comfortable from the start and did not give me any blisters. Looking back, I should have returned it for a truer color. I have been comparing it with a MeToo Pewter pair of flats I have that are worn out (I was replacing with this Born Julianne) but need to stop! My old ones are definitely pewter and these are not. The color is nothing like the picture shown.

I got these in blue and I really love the color - they're a beautiful cobalt color which I've never seen on a shoe. The style is super simple but that's ok - I'm going for comfort mostly and the color gives them enough personality for me. These were narrower than an average shoe but felt fine on my average width foot. Sadly, I had to return these because the tall tab on the back was rubbing the back of my heels. It may not have been a big issue long term but since I could feel it just taking a few steps, I didn't want to risk it.

These shoes are very cute and go with a lot of things...making a very casual outfit look a bit cuter than it might without these flats. I got them less than a year ago and have worn them probably 20 times...not a lot. The thing that disappoints is the way the leather holds the color. I got the "orange" (which looks yellow) and after having worn them maybe 5 times, the color on the toe and near the heel on the back started to fade dramatically, making them look old and cheap. The price isn't a fortune for shoes, but it isn't exactly a PayLess price, either. Having them look this way so soon is kind of a bummer. Maybe it was the "orange" and the other colors don't do that?

Based on the photos and color name I expected the shoe to have more of a gray/silver tone. Instead I found it to have more of a warmer rose metallic tint. I ordered a half size smaller based on reviews, but found my true size would've been a better choice.

I really wanted to like these. They're comfortable and fit true to size for me, but they curl up at the toes, which made them look clownish.

Cute ballet flat. The red color is perfect. I found the stitching around the opening of the shoe to be very scratchy and uncomfortable. Worn without socks, and hey, it's a ballet flat, it was very uncomfortable. Sad, because I really wanted to like them.

These flats are cute, simple and so soft. The leather (maybe it's vegetable leather) is like butter, which unfortunately doesn't give them much support or structure. There is plenty of padding and arch support inside the shoe, but they've stretched out much too quickly and the soft leather scuffs very easily.

I've now worn these shoes for a total of about 48 hours and I'm sorry to report that they're not breaking in very well. The left one scrapes the skin off of my heel so badly that I have to wear a huge band aid every time I put on these shoes, and they both squeeze uncomfortably in places so that my feet are quite sore by the end of the workday. The leather looks very pretty and is not scuffing or anything, but it's not worth it if they're going to kill my feet!

The shoe is quite comfortable, but as others have said, it is not white. It is not off-white. It's a pale steel/blue grey. If you're looking for white, ivory, bone, ecru or anything like that - skip this pair.

These shoes fit true to size and are a nice, simple style. I also like that the toe area isn't really narrow and pointed like similar shoes. Unfortunately, the back of the shoe is quite high and sharp and is tearing up the back of my left foot, even after a few wearings (with Band-Aids to keep the bleeding down). If you ever have problems like this (this isn't the first time I've mutilated the backs of my feet with new shoes), I would recommend that you look at a different shoe.

I love these shoes... but I have some qualms with them. Style: I love the look! It's wide enough to accommodate my widish feet. The front is long, just how I love it (meaning that the front covers the toes well). It's great for the fall because the coverage is good. I love the soft leather, but didn't know how easy it was to get dirty. Fit: The fit was great right out of the box! The padding was comfy and the arch support was minimum but not so flat that my feet will cramp. It's just right. Material/Overall Make: This is where I had qualms with it. Just wearing it twice... it became all black. I even treated it with leather condition before I wore it... sprayed it with a leather guard... it didn't work. The shoes just became black right away. :( Really sad. Can't seem to get them clean again.

These were cute and comfortable, but long and narrow...and my feet are wide. Not quite as much padding as in other Born shoes, but if you have longer, narrow feet, these would be great!

First off I have to say that I have the most sensitive feet of any person I've ever known so shoes are always a challenge for me. I ordered these in black along with 4 other pairs of black ballet flats. I ended up going with a different pair of Born ballet flats because I felt like these were too plain but basically felt the same as the other pair. I've had other paid of Born shoes before and they work well for me and my uber sensitive feet.

I'm normally an 8 1/2 in Clarks and an 8 in Born slides, so I went with an 8 1/2 for this ballet flat. It was too small. Also, no arch support or much padding.

These are fairly cute and true to size, but the stitching around the inside edges felt very abrasive on my feet so they will be going back.

fit was snug, one shoe was a size 7 and the other noted as a size 7.5, not the quality I'd expect from the Born brand
