I bought these 7 months ago to wear inside at work on rotation with another pair of Asics. I've worn these 2-3 time a week over the last 7 months - not every day and not giving the shoes a beating. I discovered a hole in the toe-box of my right shoe where the Asics design has separated from the mesh - it's about 1/2 inch in length. My other pair of Asics have developed the same issue in a different place on both shoes. There was little to no support in the heel and arch of this shoe - very disappointed. Zappos came to my rescue and accepted my return - awesome. The other pair of Asics I have were over a lot and the most comfortable shoes I've had, but unfortunately didn't stand the test of time. I don't think I will but the Asics brand again. Lesson learned price doesn't always = quality.

I love Asics and have never had a problem with the way they fit. I wear a wide shoe. I ordered this pair in a wide size. They were definitely not a wide shoe even though all of the labeling indicated they were.

Initially great shoes for running, very comfortable, great support. But, the mesh by toes started wearing after about a month.

These only lasted about 6 weeks before my toes broke through the sides! I'm an Asics loyalist and these were by far the least sturdy ones I've ever bought.

I'd been wearing the Asics Gel 1170s, so I hoped that the GT-1000s would be similar or even better. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The shoes fit pretty well overall (although I would have liked a little more room in the toebox). However, when walking or running, I noticed an awkward, rough transition from heel to toe instead of a smooth ride like most running shoes. There appears to be a little raised area on the bottom of the shoe at the back end. I did not keep these shoes. If the shoes were flat on the bottom (like the Gel 1170s), I think they would feel much better.

Very disappointed. I needed a black pair of shoes. Very little heel support and no support at all for the ball of your feet. I like that they are light weight and have good arch support. I have a different style Asics that I love (could not get in black). I would not recommend GT-1000.

I have worn Asics for years, wear to work in physician's office. These are a poor follow up to the Asic GT 2160 and GT 2170. There is no support at all. They feel like a cheap athletic shoe, but they are not given the price. Matter of fact, after wearing these for about a month, I went today and purchased my first pair of Brooks, I love them!

Comfortable out of the box but did not wear well. Inner mesh along big toe frayed in 1st 2 months I assume due to brushing foot against the other one during running. Disappointing.

These are very narrow shoes. I got a wide, they were narrower than a B width. There is a space at the end of the toe where the insole stops too soon.

I purchased these shoes on August 2nd, 2013, and by October 25th, 2013 the side had blown out on the right shoes right above/to the side of the big toe joint. I have put less than 50 miles on them so far, and have never blown out a pair of shoes. I do not have wide feet, and I run on paved roads/bike trails (no off-roading). I have emailed Asics directly, hopefully this is a defect in this particular shoe, and they will rectify it. I had a pair of Newtons before these that I put 410 miles on before switching. A this cost of a dollar shoe that blows out at 50 miles is a lot per mile is unacceptable.

I loved the GT-2100 series, just fabulous. This bears no resemblance to it, or any other good Asics. My local shoe store has even stopped recommending them. I would not try another pair.

Have loved all of my Asics but these are hurting my feet as they are markedly more narrow. I must return them to Zappos for a different style with a better cut.

I ordered my shoes 4 weeks ago and have been wearing them to work. I spend most of my day sitting in a chair with a little bit of movement around the office. A piece of the shoe from the sole just fell off and I noticed that a few of the other pieces are coming off too. Seems like the glue isn't holding the blue pieces from the bottom to the while sole. Comfort is at 1 because I have to spend all day until I get home with a piece missing which I can feel every time I take a step.

Ordered this shoe to have on hand as an inexpensive spare. Really disappointed with ASICS. This shoe ran really narrow even though I ordered the size I have been wearing in ASICS, 7 1/2 D. I'm having to replace my Gel Kayano pair after less than 4 months wear. The entire back counter fabric has worn through to the outside of the shoe. Disgusting quality. Time to switch brands.

I have had a pair of Asics Cumulus for about 4 years that are almost worn out. They were the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. I've ordered about 6 pairs of ASICS from ZAPPOS over the past few weeks trying to replace them and cannot. The sizing on all has been inconsistent with my previous shoe, and this pair, a 10.5 M, fit PERFECTLY on the right foot - FINALLY!! I was so happy. And then I put the left shoe on. It was much tighter, and upon closer inspection, it appeared much more narrow across the toe box. I measured it, and yes, it was a full 1/2 cm wider!! I'm sad to say but this is the last attempt with this brand.

I believe this shoe is defective. I have never had a shoe hurt my foot the way this one did. I wore it for 4 hours and my left foot and ankle hurt for a day and a half afterwards.
