I had purchased a pair while in Florida but in regular width. I usually wear a wide so I jumped at the chance to purchase these sneakers in wide. The problem is the insoles. I did replace the insoles in Florida but have been unable to find these exact insoles for the new pair. So you do need to replace the insoles regardless if you need the support and the comfort. I suggest the manufacturer up the price and include the best insoles possible so that you are not forced to try to do so yourself.

My first impression was no way these are wide. The shoes seemed tight. Then I decided to wear them for just a few hours in the house. I have problems with nerve damage in the balls of my feet and I did have slight numbness in this area after wearing. The next day I wore shoes again for a few hours and noticed a vast improvement. Since then I have worn them for a week at work. I stand and walk on concrete all day. I have had no discomfort. The shoe are no longer tight and arch support is amazing. I could use a little more cushioning in shoes but the arch support is so good that it takes the pressure off the front of my feet which is wonderful. My orthopedic surgeon made an insole for my shoes and I do not even need it with these shoes. They are not the cutest shoes, but the trade off is worth it.

These shoes are solid running shoes, pretty supportive and very cushioned.

I originally ordered the 8 in a B width and it seemed very narrow so I ordered the wide width. Unfortunately, it was also too narrow. I like the look of the shoe and love my other Asics. This one was just too narrow.

Overall a nice comfortable shoe. The only thing about them that is negative is the insole slides around the shoe. When exercising the insole slipped to the back of the shoe and my toes were hanging over where the insole should have been.

I bought these for cross-training, as my running shoes weren't providing enough support. I like the black, because it doesn't advertise the brand & doesn't have a bunch of lame girly colors. I am a wide, so these fit me perfectly - especially in that it provided enough space for my feet to spread out during jumping /side-to-side exercises without my foot sliding around.

I like spending less than $80 on running shoes, so I'm always looking out for a deal. I switched up to these sneakers from the Asics Contenders about a month before my half marathon, and then I ran my half in them. They held up great and they're a really reliable shoe for running longer-ish distances (6-10 mile training runs). They took longer than usual to break in (I had a few blisters on my arches and heels), but I'll chalk it up to increasing my mileage. In short: great shoe, could feel that it's a step up from the Contenders, would run another half marathon in them.

Cute sneaker. Just a little bit too narrow. I am going to go up a half size to see that will give me more room.

Excellent support; however, I feel the shoe runs a wee bit small (both width and length). My toes felt squished even after I ordered width size D.

These shoes have great style and come in a wide width. They are too narrow even in the wide width for my foot.

A true size 11. I normally wear a 10.5 narrow, but in my other Asics running shoes, I wear an 11n. I bought these in an 11n and they are a bit too long. I wish Asics were consistent in their sizing. Great shoe, but I look Mickey Mouse now most of the time.

Have worn variations of this style for years. I have a bunion on my left foot and this has a wide toe bed and is very comfortable. Love the colors. Wish is had a bit more gel cushion in the heal and arch.

This shoe has good stability for working out. I do notice that it gets kind of uncomfortable after wearing them for long periods of time but I think it's because I'm older and my feet swell. They are narrow and I have a high instep.

I love the color of the Grey/Purple. I always take the manufacturer inserts out and use SOLE Brand inserts. The inserts fit well and the shoe fits comfortably. The shoe does run narrow in the toe box. I am still deciding if this is something I can work with. But if you have a more narrow toe box - you will love it.

I love the look of this shoe. I have a wide toe box, and this felt a little narrow. There is also a ridge at the beginning of the laces that I know would bug me if my feet began to get hot. I am normally a size 7, and I bought these in a 7.5. No way that I would have fit a 7. Sadly, I am returning them!

I really like the look of the ASICS GT 1000. Initially, they felt a little stiff but after wearing them for week or so they felt comfortable. I also like the fact they are lightweight. I mainly use them for jogging. I tried on a pair in a store that matched my shoe size, but they did not fit. I needed a half size larger. I also decided to get them in a wide width (which they did not have in stock). Glad Zappos had my size and color.

I was disappointed as the shoes were too narrow even tho I had worn this same size before. I ended up giving them to my daughter as I couldn't get my foot into them!

The only reason I have it a 4 in comfort is because it needs a little more arch support this shoe is great for running on pavement, grass, and dirt all around I just needed to change the insole to accommodate my foot a little more but that is probably more me than anything. Great shoe though!

I was trying to find a pair similar to my old Gt-2130's, which are pretty great for my type of feet (really low arch and wide). I read the reviews that said these were pretty good for such type of feet. I kind of disagree, however. I ordered these in wide, and they still feel narrow. Especially compared to my previous pair.

Asics running shoes are usually the best overall fit for me. I'm a true size 10M, except for athletic shoes--usually go up a 1/2 size. This time I've had much more trouble finding a good fit and have tried many types of Asics runners. So far, the GT-1000 has been the truest to size, but it is a little narrow, so I'm giving it a chance around the house on the carpet before making a final decision. Great shoe but still not sure it's the one for me.

Good stability control, comfortable, no complaints. They're not exactly my last pair of Asics (Gel Kayano), but the price point was better since I'm not running a ton any more (injuries).

I know these are running shoes, but I purchased them to do Turbo Fire (a lot of lateral movement, jumping, pivoting, kicking, etc.) because I have worn Asics forever. Had I been using them for running they probably would have been perfect, but unfortunately there is not enough cushion in the forefoot. Also, my toes went numb. There is, however, great lateral stability and I wasn't rolling my ankles (like I was in a certain pair of shoes that starts with an R and ends with an Reebok). I still love Asics, these just aren't the shoes I was hoping for.

It's a good shoe, bought it for work because I work retail. I have square feet, very hard to find shoes for these. Got better with comfort as I wore them throughout the day and week. It's comfy now and am buying another. I just hate them breaking in.

I wear another style Asics trainer in 10.5 and it's very room. This is very, very snug. It's especially tight across the ball of the foot. Thanks to Zappos' great policy, I'll try another style. I'm rating based upon impressions and not on how it fits me--I think it would be good support if it was suited to my foot.

I like these shoes. They are comfortable and cute - a good package! I have narrow feet and bought them in my usual athletic shoe size (7) and the narrow width. They are definitely true to size. I've had trouble with the tongues of other shoes slipping around and becoming uncomfortable, but I haven't had that problem with this shoe - yay!
