Size wasn't an issue. The straps that hold the shoe were. Either to look stylish or to save money the reduce the straps holding the shoe to half size. I have a wide foot, so when I tried them on the straps only came to half of the bottom strip. I'm sure as time goes on and the shoes widen out, the problem will get worse

I bought these a Wide , I normally wear a M but recently I had broken my ankle and I wasn’t sure how my normal size would fit due to the fact it’s still in the healing process . The size M fits nearly perfect while these being a W are wider than I am comfortable with . Nothing wrong with the size it was just me experimenting to make sure

Needed to stretch out while wearing them to get the Velcro straps to fit better and hold better. Then great! Really liked that the first inch of the Velcro straps are Velcro-free making it much easier to zip off when taking the shoes off.

We ordered a size M and a W in this shoe. The M was just too narrow - returned them to Zappos.

All New Balance shoes are comfortable. I buy no other. This walking shoe is comfortable for all day wear. It would be especially helpful for someone who spends a lot of time on their feet. I own three pairs of New Balance that I rotate on a daily basis. The oldest pair is a wide fit. My size is a standard fit. It's still a comfortable shoe.
