To tight Velcro to thin not comfortable need to return with a refund

This is the first shoe he has tried since surgery in July. I guessed what size to buy. This shoe was too small. It is a good shoe I chose incorrectly.

Too big for me.

Shoe was great. As a result of some surgery my feet are really swollen so I have to go to a larger width.

The fit was generally OK, but there was something near the outside of the arch in the right shoe that was very irritating.

The usual excellent fit and feel that I have always had with New Balance walking shoes.

I recently replaced my New Balance Model 813 Men's loop and hook walking shoes. I could only find Model 577 (a similar style) on the Zappos web site. An old problem has resurfaced with the New Balance Model 577 Men's loop and hook walking shoe. The upper hook and loop strap on the Model 577 shoe is much too short. The upper strap does not even begin to reach the hook material on far end of the the loop. I do wear orthotic shoe inserts and this exacerbates the problem. LPT: I purchased some Velcro brand One-Wrap Roll. The One-Wrap roll is available in 12 ft x 3/4 inch width. One-Wrap is available in white, black and other colors. I had to add ~4 inches of the One-Wrap roll to each shoe. So after 12 years I am back to having to hack my shoes. Thanks NB.

shoe was fine in most every aspect except the hook and loop straps were not long enough to attach with confidence Since I'm over 90 this is important for my safety. Consequently, the shoes were never walked in. They are returned as originally received.

It felt snug in the toe box and the cut of the back was irritating my Achille's tendon.

Shoe fits very well. The only thing is the color is not a true white. It has a grayish tint to it.

The straps were too short and could not be fasten.

The straps were not long enough to close.

The strays were too short. I could not fassen the top sreap.

inside height room is to small. I cannot ware. The shoe is good looking and appears of good quility.

The fit, size, and appearance of these new black New Balance Hook and Loop 577 shoes are excellent. My wife is happy with her identical pair with one exception. One shoe squeaks with each step. When I ordered these shoes for myself, I did not think of that factor. But, sure enough, one of the new shoes also squeaks with each step. And it is not a minor, barely noticeable squeak. It is attention-getting. I will return them for replacement and hope the replacements do not squeak.

Should have read the reviews first. I have the same problem of the upper strap being too short. Unfortunately I'll have to return these.

This is the second pair of New Balance that are too small to wear. I have two pairs that are perfect. New Balance changed the size of 12D, and now it's more than a full size too small. I won't buy New Balance again.

Who is everything I wanted, except for the constant squeaking with every step.

Very supportive. Stiffer sold which is what I need. Some may say uppers are too stiff. I say supportive. I have to use custom inserts due to arthritis, circulation issues and fibromyalgia. I red the hook and loop because lace ups case too much pressure. I could not walk without these shoes!

It didn't fit. This is the second pair of New Balance walking shoes that is too small (Size 12D). New Balance doesn't get another chance. It's too bad; I really like the ones that fit. Now I have to find another brand.

First non-cloth(?) New Balance shoes I've bought. Blisters on outside of both little toes. Not sure how to break these in...

I like the roomy fit in the toe. The support is great. Walking in them is comfortable. When I compare this NB 577 to my old favorite NB 813 (not made anymore) I find that I stand taller in the 577. I guess the sole is thicker. The tongue of the 577 is very thick, and it is a bit of a tug to fasten the hook & loop straps so that the shoe is on tightly. I find the straps to be a little short.
