This is the second pair of New Balance shoes with velcro straps I bought for my husband. He has Parkinson's and his feet are wide, but his toes curl and he needs a 4E instead of a 3E. These shoes are very comfortable and even though he is wheelchair bound, they are easy on the foot when he has to transfer back and forth.

When I need to replace a pair of sport shoes, my first look is toward New Balance. No other shoe maker consistently provides narrow sizes. These shoes are a comfortable and accurate fit at a very reasonable price.

This is my third pair of the 577's. I now prefer the hook and loop over laces. They feel more comfortable and wider with the hook and loop. I wish the insoles were better, but other than that they are a good pair of shoes. I would recommend them to anyone that walks.

the shoe runs narrower than what is and the sewing in putting together shoe is off the tongue on inside is longand rubs across toes, cant return because he wore them for a week because he left his old shoes at home

These are very comfortable shoe, I would have given them a 5 star except surface peals off very quickly. I purchased 5+ pairs so far and never got to wear the soles out because the paint pealed of like a sun burn. I keep buying them because they are the most comfortable shoes I can find.

Needs a better arch support without that the foot rolls a little. Velcro straps are much to short, only cover about half the area they should cover. Shoe is mostly comfortable.

This is the third time I have purchased these shoes for my Dad. He needs a lot of support and he finds this shoe very comfortable and stable. It does look like an old man's shoe, but there are enough old men out there that need shoes. I appreciate that they have wide widths in this shoe. I hope they don't quit making them.

I normally wear size 7.5 but needed an 8 in these shoes. Initially they felt comfortable but as I continued to wear them rub spots became evident on the sides of the feet about mid-way. Since the cause could have been the socks, I changed to a different pair, alas, still the same issue. Sent them back, thank you New Balance for free shipping returns!

Men's 7.5 wide was a pretty good fit for my women's 8.5 wide foot. Men's 7 medium was definitely far too small. They fit orthotics well.
