These shoes are fabulous for my 81 year old Dad. He absolutely LOVES them. I recently made him go through the entire process of getting "diabetic shoes" and he swears that these shoes are far more comfortable and supportive than his prescribed shoes. He loves them so much that I am ordering a second pair for him to keep on supply for when he walks through a bunch of mud or spills paint on them (he does stuff like this~~he's not about to change now).

Zappos goes the extra mile with class. Got a different style and they did not fit, the lady on the phone was super helpfull and suggested these instead. Issued a return label and sent the new shoes. Got them NEXT DAY! Plus they were less expensive and she said I would have a credit for the difference as soon as the returned ones arrived there. WHAT GREAT SERVICE!
By the way, the new ones fit perfect first try.

I bought these shoes due to the need for a 5e width.
They are a little narrow, but comfortable. Length is spot on.
I am unhappy with the velcro straps. They are very narrow and too short.
The sticking power of the velcro is pretty weak. They keep coming unstuck, kind of inconvenient.
Overall, however, I rate them fairly high. Time will tell as to their durability.

This is the fourth pair of these shoes I've ordered over the years. The fit is very good and the velcro closures very convenient. I walk the dog a mile and a half every day, sometimes farther. These shoes get lots of use. As always, Bean is helpful and friendly, did I mention efficient ?

First walking shoe purchased & it doesn't seem to give the arch support of running shoes. New Balance usually are comfortable from the beginning. These feel like breaking in dress shoes.

I bought these for my husband after having tried and returned a few sizes of Propets, which were recommended by his PT and had higher reviews on Zappos and elsewhere. He just didn't like the fit. He loves this NB pair though, and the PT says they're working out well. My husband is usually a Medium width, but we got a Wide (EE) to accommodate a leg brace for post-stroke PT.
