Cute and comfortable hikers. I like the red color on these. The inside feels like an athletic cross-trainer: cushioned yet sturdy. The soles are rugged and thick and suggest excellent traction.

They were very comfortable, even with having arthritic feet. This is the second pair of this brand that I've purchased so it works very well. I highly recommend it!

Several trips coming up with lots of hiking. Beautiful fit from the moment I put them on - good news for me as I seem to have difficulty with finding shoes that really fit for me. No need for a 'break in' Love the purple "Night Shade" leather.

These are my second pair of Ahnu Montaras -- wore out the first! Very comfortable with no break-in period. They also transition well from hiking to casual wear. Highly recommend.

This is the second pair of Ahnu's I have purchased. The fit is good for me. Nice roomy toebox. Good arch support. Comfortable for me right out of the box.

Super comfortable...true to size. I thought since I wear running shoes a half size bigger I would do that with these too but turns out the 7 was a tad too big so got a 6.5 and it was perfect. I wear these at the animal shelter where I am walking on concrete, dirt, gopher holes and I wish I would have purchased them sooner! Awesome shoe and no blisters after the first use.

These shoes are great for travel as they combine hiking (not mountain climbing) ability with city walking. They are waterproof without making my feet too hot. They have a roomy toe box which I like. My only slight negative about the shoe is that they slip a bit in the heel. I have a narrow heel so this may not be an issue for others. They are not the most stylish but they get the job done with comfort as my main priority.

Saw this show in our local sporting goods store but they didn't have my size. Ordered from Zappos. They arrived promptly and are a wonderful fit for comfort, support and style. Use them on the treadmill and walking the dog. Great shoe!

Been searching and found the ones! No Keen or Merrell felt this comfortable on my feet from the get go, and they've proven to remain comfortable through multiple days of hiking and wear. Also, they're just pleasing to look at! Highly recommend

10 stars! Absolutely fantastic! Bought to tour Ireland, where it most likely rains and much hiking on Castle steps! I have had a couple of foot surgeries so it's extremely important for me to find the best shoes to walk around in and keep up. It's a reddish-orange. PC screens make it look red, so did not match my red packer sling but, both so comfy. It's all a blessing! PTL!

Loved the fit and feel of these shoes right out of the box. Lightweight but with great cushioned support. The only reason I am exchanging them is because I decided not to be so conservative with the black and instead go for the purple.

I wore these shoes on a 2 week trip to Europe and walked an average of 9 miles each day. These are the most comfortable shoes I own! They are so light, you don't feel like you have shoes on. Waterproof and they even look good.

Very comfortable shoe with excellent support which is what I need. I always add inserts for custom support. Lightweight, nice color. This is my 3rd Ahnu hiking/walking shoe, Ahnu is my go-to brand.

Love these! These are great walking or day hiking shoes. I have had three surgeries on my feet, so comfort is key. I was able to wear these right out of the box on a 6 mile hike on a rail trail. Would highly recommend!

I'd never heard of this shoe brand, but am glad I stumbled on it while searching Zappos. It's a comfortable yet sturdy shoe. I also tried on a couple other brands from Zappos, but Ahnu was the best fit and style.

I highly recommend Ahnu Montara II. I have difficult feet: size 11, high arches, wide forefoot, medium to narrow heel, and my right foot and knee have been injured several times and require excellent support even more than my left. I need anatomical footbeds because I'm on my feet many hours each day. Ahnu Montara II is one of the best shoes I've ever worn right out of the box, and I don't need to change to my orthotics. The footbed is wonderfully comfortable for me. I can wear them all day and still feel great at the end of the day, and I rarely say that about my shoes. They eliminate ankle, knee, and back problems for me. I feel that my foot was used as the model for making this shoe. The only thing that would improve them is larger sizes: 11.5 and larger because they are just barely long enough. I can wear only thin socks or no socks with them. If my feet swell by evening, then they feel too tight, and I switch to Ahnu Sugarpine Air Mesh which runs slightly longer/larger in size 11 or to my Vionic Tide II sandals. The style of Montara II is very cute, and size 11 doesn't look huge. I like the lacing system. The final metal hooks at the top allow quick, tight lacing.

I previously purchased the Montara boot and was so pleased, I ordered these. Comfortable right out of the box, no blisters and even with wet and muddy conditions, both styles shed the debris and stay dry inside. Comfort, function, and they even LOOK great! Love the colors. Might have to get another pair. :)

I love these shoes/boots! Just what I was looking for as an every day hiking shoe. They are comfortable with abundant arch support, keep me upright in sleet and snow. I want to wear them everyday and don't even think to take them off when I get home. The fit is true to zixe and the color is as shown. Love them!

Amazing support with so little weight. Wore my new pair on a two hour hike right out of the box. These shoes will be my only pair on a tour of Greece in a few months. I usually wear 8W or 8.5M. I ordered this pair in 8.5M to be sure I had room for thicker socks when needed. They are just perfect. I have no idea how Ahnu can make such supportive shoes with so little weight. They are feather light: less than 16 oz each. They also have adequate arch support just 'as is'. I normally put a thin arch support in my shoes, but no need here. So happy to have these.

Great shoe! I put them on out of the box and have not looked back! The toe box is great for my average middle aged feet. Great walking shoe with wonderful stability and support. I received the olive color and they look great. I will order additional colors. Love this shoe!

I bought these to wear while walking my dog and I wanted something very comfortable that would keep my feet warm and dry in the winter. There was one pair left in the size and color I wanted and they arrived promptly. As soon as I put them on I knew they were perfect. However, the pair arrived with some caked on mud on the soles. Obviously someone else tried them on and returned them before. The mud brushed off and shoes were in perfect condition. They were so comfortable I didn't even care about a little mud on the soles. I have since used them in rainy and snowy weather and happy to report my feet remain dry. Love the fit and I'm already checking out the whole line of shoes in this brand. I usually wear 6.5 wide and got these in 7 reg and fit is great with regular and thick socks.

Finally! I tried several other types of hiking shoes with poor success. These fit and are comfortable. I had to send back the first pair of this particular one as well because I underestimated the size I would need. I usually wear an 8.5, so after reading reviews, I initially ordered a 9. It was tight in the toes. I sent it back and got a 9.5. It is perfect. My heels are narrow but I need a lot of room in the toe box. This shoe does not slip in the heel and there is room for wiggling my toes even with thick socks. Also the color is great. A really nice purple. Zappos was wonderful about taking 3 other pairs of shoes in return while I tried to find the perfect shoe. Thanks.

I have this shoe in black and it fits my hard to fit foot perfectly. Cute, supportive and great for wearing to work in a warehouse with concrete floors. I haven't hiked in them. Heels narrow, toe box large. Decent removable insole. My arch supports fit in no problem, and I found a 9 fit me perfectly! Usually I wear a 9.5 to fit my left toes in. The green had a different fit, so am returning. I went back to REI and bought the brown color which fit well.
