Love the color and weight of the coat. It is remarkably warm without being bulky. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit long and not tapered enough for my liking. A nice feminine taper on the sleeves would improve the look of the coat considerably.

Went with a size up and wasn't disappointed - this coat fits perfectly and is warm against the cold and damp Chicago winters, including the brutal wind. Its length makes it ideal for walking to work in my case, and the Mercury color is unique and flattering.

This jacket was quite small- i usually fit a Medium winter coat- the Large was a little tight, so i ordered an XL-
Good features- separating zipper, zip pockets, comfort cuffs with thumb holes.- My only criticism is no draw cord in hood to tighten for snug fit in cold winter wind.-
It's still too early in the season for a real cold weather 'test drive'.

I love the jacket I was able to try it on in store and then order it from you. However I have not received my items yet due to shipping to Alaska. I recommend letting people outside of the Continental US know that it can take up to 6 weeks (I spoke with the Post Office) to get to where I am located. I can't wait to have the jacket and I know that I will love it, I am just a little impatient to get it.

This coat fits true to size on top and way too tight on the hips. I have similar coat from Calvin Klein in XS and I thought small will be big. I am afraid if I order midium it will be baggi underarms. It is sooooo tight around the hips that I can wear only thin layer of clothing under it. Other than that it is made very well.

My husband ordered this for me. I had read reviews with varying comments regarding size so we ordered both a large and an extra large. I'm a size 12 and usually would wear a large-otherwise it's too tight across my shoulders, and the large is the one I ended up keeping.
I think it looks great and, while it's a tiny bit snug-I don't think I could wear heavy layers under it-it fits very well and I'm looking forward to seeing how warm it is this winter.
Misc comments: the sleeves are long on both sizes, but just the right amount of long on the large for me. However...what is it with the Columbia trend to overly long sleeves? Yes, I like my sleeves long, but they should come to my knuckles-or even my finger tips, as they did on another coat I returned! Also, wish the hood was removable. I very seldom need a hood, but I liked the coat enough to live with the hood.

Love this jacket/coat. My cousin had recommended it ( she has it in black). I was skeptical because it was so thin but I took it for a test drive on a day where it was 10 degrees and boy was I surprised. On the first day I wore it, went out to dinner and got brown sauce on it- true to it's claims---it wiped right off. Stain resistant is it! I'm very happy with this purchase. The only downfall is that the hood doesn't stay on snug, there's no drawstring or button to secure it.

My husband gave me this coat for Christmas after I saw it in a catalogue. I was hoping that Columbia would make a longer Omni Heat coat, one to cover the hips. I have 2 other Omni Heat coats that I just love and this one was my third. Since I am allergic to both wool and down, these coats are life saving warmth for me. They really do keep me warm in the Wyoming deep freeze winters-days at 22 below zero. These coats do tend to run smaller than the average size or I would have given it 5 stars.. Thanks Columbia.

I LOVE this coat. BUT after wearing it for a month the front threads have started to pull a bit. Its still great but if I could swap it for a replacement I would be ever so appreciative of columbia. I have purchased various items over the past few years and have never had a problem with any of them until now. I would still buy it again b/c it fits so well and is figure flattering, and NON-DOWN which is great, but its disappointing that the thread pulling occurred after so little use. I wonder if mine was defective?

I am allergic to down and am constantly searching for a warm down-free winter coat that is stylish. I saw the technology advertised with this coat and jumped at the opportunity to try something different. It's extremely lightweight. It does a decent job at keeping me warm, but I haven't tested it in below freezing temps yet. I wish it came in more colors. I also wish I ordered a size smaller. I ordered a Large (I am 5'9" and 147 lbs). I figured I may need to layer underneath, and also read that the armholes were tight. In retrospect, I would have been fine with the medium. The sleeves are pretty long in the Large, even though I'm tall and long-limbed. Too late, already took the tags off. Overall, happy with my purchase. Like I said, wish I ordered a size smaller and wish it came in more colors.

I LOVE this coat. I've been searching for a long coat for a while to help with the winter chill that starts to take over NJ starting in late October. The length is perfect, I love the thumb holes (helps keep the sleeves down and my wrists warm which is always a plus), and overall it's great quality. As a curvy girl who's smallest asset is her waist, I do wish that it had a cinched waist. I didn't purchase any of the other 'cinch waist' coats from Columbia because I have seen them on my friends and you can barely tell they even have the feature - so why spend more money? Besides that - this is well worth it.

I love this jacket, it is lightweight but warm and has excellent pocket space. The only negative is that I ordered color graphite and it is almost green! Otherwise very comfortable and sylish.

This is a very nice looking coat. I was looking for something longer in length and this goes to about mid-thigh for me. Runs a little small, I normally wear a medium, but ordered a large and I am glad I did, wanted room if wearing sweatshirts and sweaters. Hasn't been that cold yet so I can't say if it will keep me warm.

I was looking for a replacement for my bulky down coat. I thought this had everything...stylish, thin yet warm and with a hood. The Omni-Heat sounded like something I could really use in Chicago winters. The fit was really tight for a small as well as a medium (I am 5'4", 114#). Going up to a large would throw it all out of proportion. Sorry, Columbia. I really liked the construction, the materials, the potential for Omni-Heat, but if the coat doesn't fit...

I love the weight of this coat and look forward to testing it out in extreme conditions of Minnesota. I have been searching for a jacket like this for several years. I wanted something warm that didn't make me look like a marshmellow!
Nice slim fit, I bought the small (I am a size 4 - 6). It fits well and I have plenty of room in the shoulders for a sweater. The hips area is slim....I typically have problems with the fit in the shoulder not the hips...but the zipper can be zipped up from the bottom to accomodate snow pants.
There isn't anything about this jacket that I don't like. Like I said, I am waiting for extreme conditions for my final thoughts on just how much I like it and that is why I rated the function as average for now.

I had to return this jacket. I ordered it in medium and while I loved the fit over my summer clothes I was pretty sure it would not look as good over layered or heavier winter clothes. I put on something that I would typically wear on a cold winter day and sure enough it made it look like I was wearing a coat too small for me. It has a very feminine attractive fit but should be ordered a size larger if you layer clothes or wear big sweaters in the winter. I really did like this coat and will probably reorder in size large. I wish when I had returned it there would have been an option to just exchange it.

While this jacket is warm and lightweight, I should have paid better attention to water resistant versus water proof. This jacket isn't water proof and doesn't work well with the PNW constant drizzle. Also, i have only used it for a few weeks and it seems much older of a jacket than it is. It doesn't seem to be holding up to the quality I expect.

Jacket is nice and lightweight. It keeps you warm if it's not freezing cold outside. I live in CA and weather now is about 50-60 degrees at night. I wear this walking from my house to restaurants and it keeps me warm enough. If it gets colder (like 40s or 30s) it doesn't keep you warm unless you layer lots underneath. For reference on sizing I am almost 5 feet tall, 125-130 pounds. My chest is a 34C or 36B. I ordered a medium and it fits well. I would not fit a small as chest would be too tight and uncomfortable I would say I normally buy a medium in jackets and this fits just right. The medium allows me to layer a tank top, a sweater or a vest, and jacket is almost snug but comfortable. The fit hugs you and doesn't make you swim in it. I think it's flattering enough. One thing I absolutely am extremely disappointed with this jacket is THE POCKETS ARE WAY TOO LOW!!! My arms are not that short. I have never had issues with other jackets. This one, when I put my hands into the pockets, I can't reach it. If it's not such a hassle I would return it due to too low pockets.

The coat itself is well made with great features. However, it does run small. I'm very consistently a size 14/L. I could zip it but it was a tight fit even with just a T-shirt on. I did reorder from another store because the XL was sold out on the Columbia site

I normally wear a size large in jackets with enough space to wear chunky sweaters. I tried this on with a tshirt and it was uncomfortably tight. Definitely size up. I'm so sad it didn't fit.

The coat itself was very nice. The problem was the fit. I am a medium and not overweight so that was not an issue. The shoulders and arm length were fine but it didn't zip with any room at all and all I had on was a cotton shirt. I returned it. I thought sizing up would make it baggy in the shoulders and sleeves way too long.
