I really love this jacket. It is versatile, minimal, in the silver lining literally is that it has a silver lining. However, it runs very large and I had to return it.

I bought this coat to wear on a vacation. It is very lightweight and did not take up a lot of room in the suitcase. It's a good-looking coat with a slim profile. I like the length because it covers my seat. This coat keeps me warm down to about 30 degrees F. For colder temps I need a different coat. The hood needs to be zipped up all the way and secured with a scarf in order to stay up.

I was looking for a longer winter jacket, good for running errands around the city and hopefully, for snowy days in the country too. The jacket is a little roomier than expected and just barely kept me warm enough when temps dropped below 39 degrees. Luckily, there's enough room to layer so I could add a sweater over my long sleeve tee if needed. I especially like the mid-thigh length, offers some protection from the cutting wind but zipping up this longer jacket takes some getting use to, wish the jacket had snaps. Sleeves are the right length for me.

I had the Women's Powder Pillow Long Jacket (887253811290) last year, but it got stolen over Thanksgiving (probably because it was so great).
I got this jacket as a replacement because it has nearly identical measurements. I'm very pleased with the warmth it provides and the way it fits. In terms of sizing, the only thing that I don't love is that the arms are a bit roomy in terms of width, but I do have relatively small arms. (I'm 5'7" and 135 pounds).
I live in Chicago and plan on wearing this throughout the wintery months. This coat prevents me from having to layer, I like that I can just wear a light top in 30 degree weather with this coat. Also, since it's so lightweight, it's easy to ball up and stuff in a bag if needed.
The hood could use some improvement, but it serves its purpose when needed and I like that it isn't obnoxious or imposing.
One thing that isn't pictured it that the inside of the coat has the "omni heat" technology, so it's silvery on the inside. At first I was surprised by that, but I've grown used to it.

Bought this coat to walk my son to daycare and it's perfect. I got a medium bc a different review said it would get thin around the waste since it's longer. The only struggle I've had was zippering it a few times which was in another review. Great product, fits nice, looks nice and keeps me warm.

This coat is very warm, very light weight, and not bulky at all. This coat was recommended to me by two different people, and they were right -it's super warm. The only thing I wish it had is snaps to close the front quickly without having to align the zipper. I do like that it has a 2-way zipper, though. I also like the security pocket inside at the breast, and I love the built-in fingerless gloves. My daughter has the medium size, which I tried on, and it was a teeny bit too small. (I usually wear a medium.) The large is almost perfect for me.

I am 5'2", 156 pounds, size 38 D chest. I got an XL based on the reviews and it is too big, bought it online, so I didn't try it on. That being said I am going to the store to try on the Large, so see if the shoulders are okay.
The coat is very light weight, and comfortable. The sleeves for someone my height on a XL are long, and when I try to put my hands in the pockets, I would have to lift up the coat to get my hands all the way in. Basically, I need longer arms to get my hands in the pockets. I will try on the Large and let you know if it is better.

I read many reviews and sized up as suggested, but when my jacket arrived I was disappointed to find that it was way too big on me! I'm 5'2" and about 120 pounds and usually wear a small, but the sleeves on the small went past my thumbs, and I could barely reach the pockets. I will be returning for an extra small with fingers crossed! The coat itself is extremely warm for how lightweight it is and I'm excited to receive the extra small!

I bought the medium and find that it fits a little tight in the hips but fine elsewhere. Sleeves are a great length with the thumb holes. I have only worn it in the 40 degree range. It seems to adapt to the temperature and I was comfortable not overly warm. I'm not sure how it would be once the real cold gets here and I would not use this to play in snow with my kids. The fabric feels very lightweight - not sure it would hold up to sledding, etc.
Overall it is a good day to day coat. Great length and color. I got the gray and it's real nice.

It has an excellent quality and is cheaper than other similar jackets. It's light, comfortable and warm. Only has a little problem with the zipper: this works but no easy.

My wife normally wears an extra small and this is what we initially ordered. As this is a long coat, trying the coat, the shoulders were very tight and at the hips the coat would hardly close the zipper. Therefore we returned the xs and ordered a medium. This one fits well in both areas. The sleeves however are a little long but have been adjusted.
We had also bought an omni heat jacket in Xs. This fits perfectly. No idea why the coat would have a cut in the manner to fit a bean pole.

The jacket does run true to size. I ordered a Small, when I would usually order a Medium, because so many reviews said it ran big. It fits me perfect around my shoulders and chest, but it is tight through my hips/butt (and I am not a pear shape, so my hips are not that large compared to my shoulders). I can still zip it, but I will be exchanging it for the Medium so I can wear a sweatshirt underneath and still feel comfortable. I'm disappointed that I have to pay return shipping! However, I am excited to try it out on a cold WI winter day! The Omni Heat works amazing in my other jacket, so I assume it'll be just as warm with this jacket - without the added bulk! It almost feels like a spring jacket, since it's so light in weight.

This coat seems to be working well for me. I work outside everyday and wanted something light, but warm. The only thing that I have noticed that I could be a bit different is the hood. The hood doesn't seem to be deep enough and I feel like I have to keep pulling it forward to protect my face from getting wet. Other then that the coat has been great.

I absolutely love this jacket. It fits great, I can layer it over a sweatshirt or just wear it alone. The only complaint is that I ordered the color black and it looks very navy. Not a big deal but I was expecting it to be a more true black. Very light weight but super super warm

There is only one thing I don't like about this jacket: the fabric it's made of. It is extremely thin, which by itself is not much of a problem since it looks neither bad nor cheap. It didn't bother me until I happened to lightly brush my shoulder against a brick wall and it tore into and inch by inch hole. Well, a patch will fix that, but Columbia can do better than that. That, and maybe some cheerful colors?
Otherwise, I'm very happy about the jacket in so many ways: for my 5'11", 145lbs the fit in size S is perfect with some room for layers in body and sleeves; sleeve lenght is pretty good for my height; even the hood is perfect, but it could be my weird fit with long neck and big head; it is incredibly light, which makes it very pleasant to wear after all the bulky winter jackets; it shields from cold winds and is warm enough to wear in 15F in Boston (with a sweater and a tee underneath). Great for running errands in winter!

Great coat! Very lightweight, but warm. I wore this in -5 degree weather (but had layers under of course) and was comfortable. I like the length, it's perfect! The only thing is I ordered up in size since I read this ran small, and it doesn't at all. I got the M and it is a little big, the idea of the Omni Heat is to trap in heat against your body, so it's supposed to be a snug fit. I can easily put 2 thick sweaters on in the Medium. I am 5'7 and lanky with a slim build for reference. I was happy that the sleeves were long enough as usually they never are. This coat is great! I keep thinking I am going to freeze since the feel of this is so thin, but it's been great so far in Chicago weather. Great job Columbia!!

I really like this coat. It fits well and I love the thumb holes on the comfort cuffs. They really make such a difference. It's a great shade of purple and so light. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars simply because it requires extra layers when it's below 30 degrees. Also, the pockets are a little low.

My daughter has this jacket and couldnt say enough about it. So I ordered one. It's comfy and cozy and fits well, except the sleeves are too long. I am not a short woman (5'7"), and I have to roll the sleeves up. I'm a size 8 and I ordered a medium.
I like the lightweight feel of this jacket because I'm in my car a lot and other jackets get too hot and are bulky.
I took it for a walk to town the other day when it was really cold outside -January in northern Michigan - and it was fine.

I live in Michigan and knew I needed a reasonable jacket to manage the frigid days we have here. But, I also wanted something that wouldn't be too heavy, bulky or cumbersome. The Mighty Lite jacket has proved to be a worthy purchase. The Omni heat feature works well, overall. We've had some 25 degree days that have felt more like 18 degrees F, and this jacket has kept me toasty warm. My only initial complaint was that the two-way zipper kept getting stuck, but it seems to have "found its groove" so to speak and is easier to use after a few wears.

I bought one for my Mom last year. This jacket is so thin, lightweight and warm I then bought 2 for myself this year in different colors, I love it that much. My favorite feature - the comfort cuffs with thumb holes keep me very warm. Two things I would like Columbia to improve on: 1) make it in Petite - the sleeves are WAY too long 2) the two way front zipper definitely does not "facilitate mobility" - it is really sticky and very hard to start - both on my Mom's purchased last year and my two purchased this year. I would have thought Columbia would have picked up on this problem and fixed it by now.

As many of the other reviewers mentioned this item runs a bit small. I am a small [5 ft, size 6-8] and a small fit me, but if my hips were any larger it would have been too tight and you can't wear a large chunky sweater under it.
I live in NE and I wore this coat the other day when it was around 35 outside. It was adequate for what I was doing, though it was clear to me that if it was much below 30 this coat would not keep you warm for long extended stays outside.
I really like the styling and the thumb holes in the sleeves are a nice plus. Unlike other long coats it isn't bulky and since I'm short it doesn't make me look like a giant puff ball! It was the right weight to go shopping where I'm going in and out of the car all day.
I would say if you want a long coat to spend extended time outside in cold climates then this isn't the coat. If you want a light, stylish coat that is good for moderately cold weather then this is your coat.
