I bought this jacket after having owned a very similar Columbia jacket for years prior. This jacket cost the same amount as my other one did but was less than half the quality. It felt like I was wearing a plastic garbage bag- which was how thin the outter layer of the coat was. It was bound to snag and rip on anything you sat on or walked by. The omniheat is nice, but this jacket wouldn't have lasted more than a week in one piece. Unfortunately Columbia lost my business as I was not able to find a quality jacket similar to this one after ordering this.

I just bought this product, very disappointing. I live in Boston and after reading all of the reviews thought it would be warm enough. No. The coat is too light, after trying it out at 50 degrees it will definitely not be warm enough. This would work MAYBE as a spring jacket. I am not pleased.

I love this coat...BUT....I just wore it in some pretty bad rain and it was the complete opposite of waterproof -- almost became a sponge. I had water dripping down my chest INSIDE the jacket even though I had it zipped all the way and with the hood up. So disappointing and frustrating.

This is not a winter jacket. Well, maybe if your winters are 50 degrees and dry. It is not waterproof. Also, not warm at all. I went out with a fleece underneath in 40 degree weather and was still freezing. Zipper only works half the time and seems like it will give out soon. Also, a piece of the filling is already sticking out from one of the stitches. Very disappointed.

I ordered this coat in a size larger than I normally wear having seen others' comments about it running small. I was willing to put up with sleeves that were slightly too long, but the fit was so tight that I could barely zip it up. It was a great disappointment as I really liked the coat itself and was anxious to see how warm it would be in freezing temperatures. I had to return it.

I bought my first columbia jacket 4 years ago, it was so coooool, so I decided that next jacket will be columbia again.
Size and colour ok, but the first and the biggest problem that it is NOT WARM!!!! It is so AWFUL! It is very thin :(
You can get warm if only you run or jump in it or something like this, but if you walk you begin to freeze immediately.
Unfortunately, I can't return it, because worn 2-3 times, but I won't use it. I can use this jacket only when the weather is warm, but it is so stupid buy jacket for winter and don't use it...
I'm very disappointed with this.
Don't buy for everyday life!

I got this jacket around middle of September 2014 and writing this review on October 27, 2014
I'm 5ft, 120-125lb, size small top/ 2 jeans, 34c bust. My body type is between curvy and slim. The size small in Quill is a little big but I consider it a good thing if you're looking to be able to wear a decent fleece underneath. It kept me really warm in the 40-50 degrees windy fall weather in Boston. It stops right at the top of my knee.
The reason why I'm giving only 1 star is because its quality. I only had this jacket for about one month and iT ALREADY HAS A RIP!!! Its very small but its still a rip. I only worn this walking around town, didn't go in the woods, didn't catch on anything, didn't do anything strenuous.
Because of this, I don't recommend anyone buying the mighty lite. If your jacket lasts, then it's a really warm and "lite" jacket.

This coat was not made for women. I have hips, because I'm a woman, and despite the reviews saying that it will fit tighter around the hips and baggier up top I wanted to try this coat because of the amazing reviews on it's warmth. I'm a pants size 8/10, and originally ordered a large because the reviews said it ran small (mediums are my typical), but it was giant on me, like a sleeping bag. Returned it and got a medium, and I could barely zip it over my thighs. I was shocked that a company like Columbia would have such discrepancies between their sizes.

Very disappointed in the product.
I have had it for a total of 2 weeks and already it looks years old. All the "stuffing" has been coming out of the lining and it makes the jacket look terrible...
choose another jacket!

I was able to fully zip this coat and it covered my bum I was surprised. I am not satisfied b/c it was too snug around my hips and I was afraid if I made any sudden moves I might tear the coat. The coat is going back. Oh well back to the drawing board :(
