This jacket is way too light. Looks nothing like the picture and is very thin in person and on. I will be returning and looking for a thicker jacket. Good for fall weather I suppose but not for harsh winters.

This jacket would be great for an area where the winter is not as harsh as Chicago, maybe Atlanta where the temperature doesn't drop below 30 degrees. The Mighty Lite is more of a fall jacket than for winter.

I really wanted to love this jacket. I'm 5'3" and 140 lbs. I'm a proportionate human. I generally run between a medium and a large in clothes. First I ordered the medium. With no layers underneath, it fit great around my stomach and butt but was so tight across the bust and shoulders. The armpits were suffocatingly tight. It was roomy above my chest and in the neck area, so great for a scarf tucked inside. I exchanged it for the large.
The large was bizarre. That extra space above the boobs was gone, and it was very snug against my neck and chin. The armpits were still too tight. The part around my stomach was too loose.
Finally, I have to mention the pockets. I am short, but still, my hands in the pockets were basically resting on my mid-thighs when I took a walk in the coat. It was so uncomfortable! It was hard to walk! But too cold not to use the pockets! I returned it.

After reading the mixed reviews on people in the north using this as their winter coat, I took the leap and made the purchase. I returned it the day after I received it. I tested it by standing outside on a 20-ish degree day and it did not keep me warm. The major deciding factor for me was the fit. The hood doesn't tighten, so it stands up a bit. It was snug around the waist and chest, but really baggy and long in the arms. I usually have the opposite problem with arms.
I ended up exchanging it for a long down-filled Columbia coat in an modern classic fit that worked great. It fit right and definitely keeps me warm enough for MN winters.

I bought this coat last year and have been sadly disappointed by it. I love the Abyss color and the cuffs with the thumbholes, although they are a little short for my long arms.
My main issues with this coat are that it 1. doesn't keep me warm; 2. does not repel wind; 3. does not repel water. I live in northern NJ and our winters can be cold (temps in the teens and single digits F.), and unfortunately, as much as I wanted to love this jacket, I don't. Shoveling snow when it is still cold/windy/snowing only makes me colder. Also, the fact that there is no collar inside the hood, and no way to synch the hood mean tying a scarf around the outside of the hood to keep it up and keep cold or wind from going down my back. I am 5'9" 155 lbs and the medium is a smidge small.
I DO like the color, the cuffs inside the sleeves, the overall length, the lightness of the coat and it is very soft. It's great if you're sitting in a warm car on a long trip. Unfortnately it is not my favorite.

I bought this coat for my daughter who wears a size 6 and it is too small. We have to return it. She is currently wearing another well known brand in a size small, which fits fine. Other reviews said this runs small so we ordered the medium. It looks nice and is amazingly lightweight so we are disappointed.

I purchased this coat as my primary winter coat as I do a lot of walking around my college campus, however when I received it, I was unpleasantly surprised. I had read the reviews before I purchased it and many stated it was "surprisingly warm." I guess I'm not exactly sure where people were writing their reviews from, but this jacket could never withstand our cold Minnesota winters. It is about as thick as a windbreaker and I couldn't last ten minutes out in the cold wearing this jacket. I am returning it and going for a reliably warm down jacket.

It looks very nice, the quality is excellent. But it is not as warm as advertised. Actually with 34F outside I felt it was cold.

Got this for my girlfriend for her b-day. After wearing for ~3 days to school and back (very light use) There are small pulls in the stitching throughout a lot of the jacket. Have bought 3-4 columbia products over the past 2 years, very disappointing. Jacket is light and warm though, so that is a positive.

A beautiful coat with a great color (Mystery)... one that I was looking forward to wearing for a long time. Within the first week I had to take it to my dry cleaners to have a snag on the front bottom of the coat. Week 3 my sleeve brushed up against a metal corner and snagged. I am not rough with the coat. The outer material is VERY thin. It's fine for warmth, but terrible for durability. Disappointed and wish I had seen it at a store instead of ordering online!

My daughter usually wears a medium with plenty of room to spare--this was way tight. The lightwieght fabric and construction looks flimsy--you can see the outline of what you are wearing through the garmet.

This coat is of very poor quality..it is very thin.....and I am 5'7" and a size 6 and the LARGE is too tight....so be careful when you order..I will not be able to fit this over sweaters...I saw other comments that are similar..so I got the L instead of the M and it's fine in regular clothes but not winter clothes.
Also..make sure you measure the length....it is not long enough to keep you legs warm...just FYI

Don't take others advise that it runs large. I am typically a small/medium so I ordered a medium and a large. The hip area runs sooo large, my legs look like a dong inside of a bell. Now I have to pay return shipping for 2 items and try to order a small.

I love this jacket! In fact I already own 2, one in small and one in medium. When I want to wear something bulkier under , I wear the medium but if I'm just wearing a thin shirt under it I wear the small. I ordered another medium because I wanted a spare but when it arrived I tried it on with just a T-shirt on and it was super small. In fact it was much smaller than my small I already have. I still love the jacket but my sister had the same issue with a jacket being much smaller than the one I already own. I'm afraid to order again if this is how Columbia is trending. I'm not a large person and I don't want to have to see a large tag in my coat!

I purchased this jacket because the photo online looked like a down jacket I have from Columbia, purchased 3-4 years ago. The stitch pattern was the same, though it did not give a temperature or warmth rating in the online description. In fact, none of their items have any relative warmth rating. Once received, though the stitching is in the same pattern, this jacket has no insulation and warmth. To prove myself wrong, I kept it on in the house for a full hour and was not any warmer than sweatshirt I live in MN and was looking for a down and OMNI heat jacket or coat. I think this is in the wrong category.

I personally did not like it. Material felt cheap and very light weight. I'm 5'5 180lbs and size L fit small.

This jacket only lasted one winter. I am currently in college and try to buy nicely priced quality products to avoid continuously buying the same thing, so I was completely bummed when I had to discard my jacket. It had multiple burn holes from the dryer (school dryer isn't that powerful tbh). It does say to not put in the dryer, however, I was unaware of that prior to buying the jacket. Also, in this day and age, who has the time or space to hand wash/ air dry clothing? Really inconvenient, especially in a college dorm.
About the look quality: Super cute. The thinness was good for storage and weight while carrying it, but I would definitely have to wear layers underneath when wearing it.

Finding a winter coat that doesn't make me look like the Stay Puft marshmallow man isn't easy. I have settled for big, bulky coats in the past, just because I need the warmth in the cold Indiana winters. I picked up this coat with high hopes. And honestly, I think it may be functional if you're constantly moving (walking in the city, etc.), generating heat. If not, it's basically useless. It's not windproof and it doesn't create its own heat. It's essentially a thin jacket with a liner that keeps heat as long as you generate it. I don't live in a city where I'm constantly moving. I'm only running from my car into the store, and vice versa. So I found this coat to be lacking quite a bit. I don't recommend it.

I just received this jacket, which I had ordered online. I have one that is 2 years old I bought in store. The quality of the new jacket is poor, zipper is not working, was put in wrong, material isn't even close to what my other jacket is, very flimsy.
I really love my first in store purchased jacket, which is why I ordered a second. I'm very disappointed in the over-all quality of this jacket. Will be returning. Not likely to purchase online again, only in store.

I bought this jacket because it was a longer version of the short plush one but it was a complete joke!! I was highly disappointment in this purchase. I am 5ft 6 inches tall and found the pockets to be positioned way too low down on the coat. I found myself having to have to tilt to the left or right to reach for items in the pocket (ie coins, chapstick, candy) or grab the lining in the pocket & pull the pockets up to me to get hold of an item in the bottom. Its description purpose listed it as "winter" but this jacket is far from a good winter choice. It was extremely thin and flimsy but they made it seem like the Omni heat would be sufficient for the weather but by the time I was able to take the coat for a cold weather test run, my return window had already expired. I can honestly say that this is a complete joke of a coat. Total and full disappointment.

This jacket performed well for one winter in WI. Now, whenever I go in the snow I am soaked! Not warm, not dry. Very disappointed.

This jacket is too light weight and thin for Wisconsin winters. I need to buy a different jacket to keep me warm and will probably find this one not useful. Very disappointed with this product. I'm sure it is fine for areas that don't get below freezing.
