Why this comes up as a winter coat is a mystery to me. I read reviews about it not being warm but wasn't convinced because the reviewers were from southern states. Received my coat today and a sweatshirt would have been warmer than this coat. When they say "mighty lite", I took that to mean strong, and sturdy. But, no, it's mighty light as in windbreaker light. Unless you're looking for something for a cool fall or spring day, choose something else.

My sister has a Columbia jacket and it keeps her nice and warm, so I wanted one for my trip to a northern state. I wore my new jacket this evening and I was freezing, the temps here are in the 40s and this jacket should've kept me warm.
Extremely disappointed.

This jacket looks relatively nice on and is certainly lightweight however for temperatures colder than 35-40 degrees it doesn't really cut it. The jacket is hooded and has pockets which is nice however it is not even close to being water repellant or water proof. If it's raining I'm freezing because I'm wet and then cold. For the price it's really not worth it in my New England weather. Maybe if I lived somewhere warmer, dryer, and with more predictable weather this would be a more suitable jacket. I did keep the jacket because I missed the return date though I find myself choosing other jackets and shopping for a replacement.

While the jacket fits I would have to go to two sizes larger to be able to wear a sweatshirt or Sweater underneath it. I live in the Upper Midwest and it get very cold here, need to be able to layer up. Very disappointing.

This jacket is very thin, it was not warm enough for me in 30 degrees. The fit was perfect I purchased xs I’m 5’7 105 lbs. I really love how light it was but it felt like a fall jacket for me. Will have to return this one, unfortunately Zappos automatically added on my points as a coupon on this purchase, for an online shopping site we should have a choice when we want to apply it so you don’t lose it if you return an item you haven’t even tried on. I ordered the Columbia winter haven to try that out hopefully that will be warmer...

Nice light weight jacket, if you are busty. I am not a large person, size 4 pants and this jacket was snug in the hip area. I returned it :(

Really nice coat but runs small. I ordered a size large and could not zip it over my hips. I normally wear a size medium.

Yes, in the title it said "Mighty Lite", but i just thought it might work. It was a little too thin for my liking. It's nice and light if it was fall or a less cold winter (haha), but i will be buying a different jacket. I do like the color and the length.

I purchased this jacket for my wife because I have a Omni heat columbia jacket that keeps me warm in Chicago winters. This jacket has kept my wife warm but is falling apart within a few weeks. All the stitching in the sleeves are pulling out and where there is not stitching it is snagging and pulling threads out as well. No where near the quality I expect from columbia. As a loyal columbia customer I am dissatisfied that this jacket did not match the quality of the men's jacket I have.

I love Columbia products and I have several with Omni Heat linings. This long jacket has the right type of lining to help keep you warm but there is little to no fill in the quilting. The seams are kind of gathered as if they are allowing for some kind of filling but there really isn't any. I live in the Upper Midwest and I wouldn't be able to wear this type of jacket until about May but I bought it to wear in March. It is like a hooded windbreaker (with no fill in the hood) and it certainly won't work for me here in the winter. This is the first thing I've returned to Columbia but it has to go back. The Nocturnal color is really pretty and it is true to size for me. I ordered a small and I could have worn layers underneath (5'6", 112 pounds, 36B).

This is a very thin, very weird fitting jacket. I am 5'5" and weigh 134, bust 34a and the medium was snug and just felt constricting everywhere.

First, the good. I bought this coat to switch off from a packable down jacket I purchased from another company. I liked the color, though a brighter blue would have been welcome. I really liked the features like the inside zippered pocket and the little half-glove sleeve cuffs that you can put your thumb through. I also liked that it was not very super heavy.
Now, the bad. I expected this jacket to be lightweight and warm with the Omni-Heat tech. I was very disappointed to discover that it is not at all warm and fits really small. I wear a size 12-14 dress and the XL is snug. Since I would have to wear layers under it, this is not very practical. Also, the zipper did not move smoothly up or down, which is bad if you're trying to zip your jacket quickly upon exiting the car. I will be returning it.

This coat is a very nice coat but if you have big breast forget about it. It doesn't fit good around the bust area. I had to return my coat and get another coat in the same size that's fits way better. Check your measurements before getting this coat.

I had this same coat from a few years ago that I ripped. I was looking for the exact item to replace. I found this one (even comparing tags) which seemed to be the updated version, which now included the Omni-Shield. I have another coat (jacket length) with Omni-Shield, which I really like. When I got it, LOVED it! Great shape, the blue color was really pretty and fit great!
I wore this for the first time the day after I got it in. It was 35degrees (F) and a bit windy, I WAS COLD! This coat says it was rated for winter! HA, I'm from the Northern/MidWest, 35degrees isn't even winter yet!! Next day, it was 20degrees, I won't even dare wear this coat out.
I took the tags off, so looks like I'm stuck with a coat that doesn't hold up to what it says.

This coat is lovely and what I was looking for, lightweight warm long jacket. Ordered a medium based on size chart, top fit nicely but too tight for my 39” hips so returning. I usually wear size 8 pants. 5’5” 135lbs. Think large would be way to big on top.

I bought this jacket because it was similar to my older one, but I was very disappointed on how much thinner it was. I wore to walk my daughter to the bus stop, which is only half of a block away, and my back was freezing cold, and it was only 40F. Also the pockets are too low. It's a nice looking jacket, but not for Wisconsin weather, so I had to return it.

I commute to work on foot in NYC where winter gets pretty cold and it occasionally snows. Despite how very thin and light it is, the coat kept me warm. I wore layers underneath, because I get cold easily. Unfortunately, I had a few problems with it that had me buying a new coat. The pockets are in an awkward place, so you can't comfortably put your hands in them. The hood ALWAYS flew off, so I had to wear hats. My biggest problem was that it's not designed well for ladies with big hips, so it would get tight around my hips and leave my torso bulging enough that people on the subway stood up for me thinking I was pregnant, haha.

Was really looking forward to getting my jacket because of all the rave reviews. I bought another jacket through here for my daughter that has the Omniheat and she loves it. This one didn't fit me right. I'm 5'6, 170ish lbs, and pear shaped. I bought an XL since I normally wear Large and all the reviews said it was on the small side. First of all the sleeves were so long. Probably meant for someone taller. The lower half seemed to fit fairly well as there was only a few inches around the hips however the top half was huge. I could take a fist full of fabric and pull it away from my body. I really was excited for this jacket cause of the length and Omniheat. I haven't seen one like this in the stores so I ordered it online. Not happy that I have to Pay to return it. :(

I ordered the Purple Dahlia coat, I believe the photograph lighting makes the coat look more of a cranberry/purple, while in person it is a pure plum shade of purple. I also followed the size chart but I would suggest going a size up in this coat as it does run small.

Disappointing! This coat has no warmth, now wind resistance, and doesn't seem waterproof. Runs big, but I had to wear a heavy sweater under it in 30 degree weather and was still cold! Omni heat is usually awesome, but NOT THIS COAT! I'm returning it.

I was disappointed that this jacket wasn't warmer. Bought the jacket while temps were in the 20s, and it wasn't warm enough without wearing layers underneath. Primarily, I'm outside to and from work. As we tend to get below zero, this jacket would not be warm enough for me. I'm disappointed. The upside is that I did get warmer the more I walked so the lining does reflect heat. But the jacket did little to keep the cold out. It does block wind, which is essential here. For early winter or late spring when temps are in the 40s, then it would probably be fine. So, for now, the jacket will stay in the closet until it is warm enough to wear.

The coat was way too thin! I tried it out while taking my dog outside and I was freezing. I think it might be able to keep you warm if you were generating a lot of heat, but it definitely won't keep you warm while walking or running errands. I returned it.

Nice jacket, but only fits if you are built straight up and down . . . no curves allowed.
